This hostel is a scam, pathetic. There are many more in Rishikesh with much better facilities at lesser cost. I do not know how they are rated high. They are so fixated on making money that they would charge around Rs 800-Rs 1200 for a single bed in a mixed dorm, and do not bother to dust the beds / clean the sheets to save costs. The bunks had dust all around , there were cobwebs on the walls, the rooms were very smelly, seepage all around , broken lights, small suffocating dorms. Do not waste your money. This hostel is very cringingly dirty.

Just don’t book this place. I had received a good recommendation and hence booked it. But I think the place has changed now. 1. The dorms were very badly managed. The rooms smelled mouldy, were dimly lit and dirty. 2. The whole property was badly managed. They took a long time to assign a bed to me when I had already booked it. When we went there, the room was locked and some guests had taken its key. I had to wait for them to come back. 3. The water ran out in the morning and I had to keep waiting for them. 4. The food was bad. The rotis were more like Papad, the curries were tasteless. 5. There were no games as shown in the pictures. There’s only a carrom board. The only good thing was the live music. Everything else was dirty or badly managed.

Amazing place with good food and music, friendly staffs. The food here is very good. Lost count of how many Ice teas I had to keep hydrated. Rooftop cafe is a really chill place to hangout all the time and on some nights we get to listen to live music. The guys here also helped us to plan quick trips to near by destinations and helped with rafting and scooter rentals. Made a lot of friends here. Thanks to BunkStay ❤️ Edit: even though these guys helped us to arrange local transport and adventure activities booking, its cheaper and easier to directly arrange all these things. There are many nearby businesses that will provide scooter rentals and adventure activities booking in much cheaper rates.

A great hostel for an affordable price. It's a bit on the top though. The price range varies from 500-1000 per bed depending upon the season. They also have a roof top cafe with an amazing vibe. The cafe has both indoor and outdoor seating. The food is delicious and the staff is well behaved.

They have taken the amount of several bookings. And then taking month long to refund it. Everytime we try to reach the Owner for the same, the reception person extends the process. I have shown them the details that the money has been credited to the Merchants’s (bunkstay) account but still it has been a month I have not received any penny back from them. Worst experience. Do not book them if you are coming from DELHI NCR. they take the booking amount as fraud and do no return it.

Great view and service. I was stuck in rain there but didn't felt like I was stuck. They have games, good food clean and beautiful rooms. Was good experience.

Bunk Stay is amazing! The staff and the customers create an amazing atmosphere together. Very welcoming and heartwarming. In the evenings there's a bonfire on the rooftop and they play live music sometimes. I really recommend this hostel and will come back for sure if I'll be in Rishikesh again. Worst place ever i have stayed. We found a cockroach in paratha... They don't even maintain hygiene... The staff is unprofessional. It just looks good from the outside but from inside it's worse than a 3rd graded lodge... Worst Staff Worst Rooms And Worst experience. They don't even deserve 1 star!

Hostel has terrific view ! It cost around 600-700rs per bed!they hv cafe on d top which gvs u delightful view while having food ! It is nearby the Laxman jhula (which was off bcoz of construction of new Laxman jhula dated on 25june2023) So if u r planning to go over there from main market ,find out first about Laxman jhula is open and if not u hv to walk 2km to the ram jhula(u may take the taxi if available) and then u hv to take reverse path for 2km from other side(there is no taxi available on other side) ! boat service is available which cost u around 400-500 to reach other side but it turns off after 6pm so be careful !as we reached there after 8pm ! So we had took long route which was truly pathetic ! AND if u r travelling by taxi make sure the exact dropping point ! Btw taxi service is quite expensive ! Ganga view cafe & Om freedom cafe (must visit cafe) is on walking distance from there!

I had a corporate trip with my entire team at bunk stay. The stay was very cozy and comfortable. The rooms are fabulous and spacious. Further the balcony & river view from the rooms are worth it. I'll recommend everyone to try to bunk stay for sure :)

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Bunk Stay and I cannot express how much I enjoyed my time here. From the moment I arrived, I was so impressed by the warm hospitality of the staff, who went out of their way to make me feel welcome and comfortable. One of the highlights of my stay was the live music performance that took place in the common area. Rishi bhai is incredibly talented, and it was a joy to relax and listen to his music after a long day of exploring. Another wonderful aspect of my stay was the opportunity to meet and connect with fellow travelers from all over the world. We shared stories, laughter, and even a few drinks, and it was refreshing to make new friends in such a welcoming environment. The food at Bunk Stay was also exceptional. Every meal was fresh, delicious, and prepared with care.

This is one of its kind place, not only in Rishikesh, but probably in the entire country (out of the ones I have seen in my lifetime). They are building a community of people who might look diverse in colour or origin or educational/professional background, but are united to make everyone happy and inclusive. The staff is superb and makes you feel like one of their own the moment you enter. And RISHI - well, it won't be an exaggeration to say that he is the soul of this beautiful hostel world. Bunkstay is a great place to chill. Good Chai and tasty food. The owner is an amazing guy, I had some really awesome conversations with him. From the balcony there's a beautiful view to the ganga river and rishikesh. Rooms and bathrooms were clean and the staff are nice. Very much recommended!

It is a nice place to stay for youngsters. Very nice staff. However, there are still a lot of areas they need to improve on - washroom hygiene, private rooms should have intercom, room service needs to improve a lot. Since, they are quite new, I’m sure they’ll improve. Cheers!

This property is a must stay. The rooms are beautiful, scenic with huge washroom. You can witness ganga view, sunrise and sunset. I stayed in ganga view which was mind blowing. Food is good. Open cafeteria is added advantage. You can make new friends. Live music was the best part. Staff is very polite, friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay to the fullest and went back with a happy heart and a rejuvenated mind :)

Excellent service,ambience and food quality. Though it's name Backpackers suggest the place specifically for youth it is very comfortable for elderly like us in our 70s.Thanks and loving wishes to each staff member here.

It's an amazing place to stay. I made wonderful friends and had a beautiful experience. Staff is good and friendly. Just cafeteria needs some improvement rest all is perfect.

The stay was amazing at BunkStay Hostel. All the staff members, be it at the reception or cleaning or the kitchen staff were super helpful and friendly. The room was clean and the view from the top is to die for!! Super super nice experience. Definitely coming back soon :D

Very comfortable and good hostel to stay for backpackers and travellers nearby Laxman jhula. It has great view with both bunk bed options starting at 650/- and private rooms around 2800/-. I like the vibe of the place to chill and meet like minded people. I personally liked their food especially cheese sandwich.

it was a beautiful view here. All the staff of Home stay is very good and they also have a house cafe to eat which food is very good. I request all of you that you are not only once and here. Enjoy the adventure of nature here and all the things. My friend also told me about it and I am thinking of going.

Places like this is always dependent on kind of crowd available at time of your stay. My encounter is good and bad. Let talk about it: 1. Good: Vibes, Terrace View, engaging crowd. 2. Bad: Property location, not helpful staff(more money minded). Note: Renting a scooty:- Timings 8-8AM, and staff will not adjust even for an hour if you miss your timings or started late. Just a fun fact: Every staff in here knows yoga, and ready to teach for fees. Suggestion: Anyone interested to learn yoga, be sure you get a controlled environment and well balanced teacher before you start.
