We went in afternoon. So many of animal were sleeping, so we were not able to see them but we love the bird section most.

Very depressing animals, looks like this place is full of sadness and this is true for all zoo across everywhere. I would rather love to see them on safari or in forest in a healthy environment rather than this confined zone. Not every animals feels comfortable inside the cage that can be seen. Therefore we should try to move wild animals to forests atleast.

Super Zoo Park

The zoo has only a few animals to be seen in the name of safari - lion, tiger, giraffe, peacock, bear, leopard, monkeys. There are a whole lot of animals one expects to see in a zoo. The service of the staff is very poor.

The zoo is nice, the entry ticket is 50/-, taking the vehicle for the zoo is another 60/- and if you take Safari it's 70-90/- for non AC or AC bus. Avoid taking any guide, as it's not required at all, waiting time for Safari bus is almost 30-45 mins.. it takes almost 4 hours to complete the zoo and safari. They have a good restaurant with all snacks , ice cream, juice and food items available and RO water available in the property.

It was Nandankanan Zoo near Bhubaneswar.. on our way to Cuttack.. Prices are nominal.. 80rs per person if u take 12 + seated vehicle .. we were in a hurry so we took small seater vehicle for around 1000rs and paid for personal Guide around 250+ rs ..don’t remember exactly but roughly it was around 1300+ for Guide and vehicle.. Zoo is nicely maintained , hygienic.. many people were simply walking around njoying the stroll.. We saw many animals mainly Bengal Tigers, White Tigers, Hippos, Monkeys, Deers , Elephants and all that.. All said, was worth visiting the zoo albeit we were short of time.. on our way out, bought a souvenir shirt from the souvenir shop..T-shirt prices were reasonable for the good quality cloth.. and they had options to choose from wrt colour and print..since it’s adjoining forest, guide said wild animals also come to the zoo in the night from which they protect their caged animals plus kangoore everywhere in open.. no restraint on them.. although they didn’t bring us any harm and were peacefully njoying their day in the sun still have to be a bit careful walking around , our guide was there to shoo them away or make us walk around

Tickets can be purchased in advance via WhatsApp. Its recommended to take cart service if you are visiting with senior citizens or visiting in summer.
