Came to Barbados for the festival in 2015. Stayed at Shades for a week and a half and my family and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Great accommodations: very cozy space with a swimming pool, party area and exercise room right outside the front door. Two-bedroom apartment was clean, modern and spacious; felt like home right away. The patio made it easy to have breakfast outside and enjoy the weather. Some units on the upper level have huge balconies overlooking the property (next time!) Location, location, location: private and secluded area; only the sounds of nature to add to your relaxation. Very close to the beach, local eateries and the main road into either Bridgetown (historic and charming) or Holetown (awesome shopping and restaurants), where colorful buses can be taken for cheap. Staff: friendly, knowledgeable about Barbados and prompt to answer and questions or address concerns, if any. I cannot say enough about how well we were treated. We felt like celebrities! Overall, come to Shades and enjoy yourself! You will not regret it! I'm already jealous!

Fabulous home from home family environment. Staff attentive whether you visit on your own or with family and friends you will have a really good time! The apartments are also in an excellent location - short walk from the beach. The complex also has a gym and communal pool for days when you just want to relax at home! If you’re planning a visit to Barbados then give them a try!

Been back quite a few times now and as always everything fantastic, great location , rooms & pool excellent. Thank you and looking forward to next visit.

Lovely setting, great facilities and fantastic hosts

An excellent accommodation. Very clean, well stocked with all the tools to make a comfortable stay (especially in the kitchen). Helpful staff- Jacqui, the manager, was always available, ready and willing to assist in any way. Food was easily ordered from the grocery and delivered for free. An adequate gym and a nice pool.

It is lovely place, there's a pool there and it only a five minute walk to the beach.

Beautiful location, management excellent, would stay again.

I keep dreaming of moving there forever... Lol.. I had an amazing stay. People are very friendly and helpful. I hope to see them again soon.
