Too pricey for the location great kitchen for a studio.

I have a studio apartment on the ground floor. I’ve had nothing but problems since I moved in in June. Water leaking from above apartment into my bathroom (finally fixed). Air conditioner leaking into wall and on to my floor, (still not fixed and I’m worried about black mold developing, water leaking from above apartment into my kitchen,( this is the newest water problem) electrical outlet not working.( one outlet fixed) This is all in two and a half months! I’m disabled and cleaning up the water is very taxing on me, plus costly because I have to have the towels dried so I can soak up the water. The communication is AWFUL. You can’t speak to a person, everything is done by email and that’s confusing all in it’s self. I’ve called the number to talk to the property manager, of Stevens Realty, then put on hold for over 15 minutes and then hung up on. I was encouraged to sign up for direct payment for rent and I’d receive $10 off my rent each month. Nope, that hasn’t happened, and I can’t a hold of anyone to remedy this. The process in which I went through to get into this apartment, you’d of thought this was going to be a decent place. I have not experienced it.

Don’t rent here or any properties managed by Stevens Realty. There’s definitely better. I was charged a $1,000 cleaning fee even though I left my apartment clean for the agency. When I called about this they pretty much told me that they charge anyone a cleaning fee as it is a standard business practice. My deposit was $800 & even though it was refunded they made sure to find a way to keep it so don’t expect to get your deposit back. Also, while I was renting with them I agreed to move in because the unit had two A/C’s. Well the owner took it out of my unit halfway through my lease. I never got a discount on my rent even though I constantly had issues running the one A/C unit. It would constantly go out and maintenance never resolved any issues. I pretty much just had to limit my use of the A/C system because it would go out and leak water all over the floor. I even offered to pay extra to keep the A/C unit but I was denied my request and the reason the owner gave me was super ridiculous. He had mentioned that my unit was pulling the most electricity out of all the units and that’s the reason for him taking out the 2nd A/C unit. But the utilities are a flat rate fee and there are no individual monitors that track the electricity usage per unit. It’s all paid as a whole and added to the rent at flat rate. So nice try, I was not convinced with such a petty lie. But this is why I’m leaving this review. Maintenance for Stevens Realty is the worst they come out to hack job repairs and end up leaving your unit worse than before and they won’t resolve your issue not even on the 4th property meld you submit. So do yourself a favor, avoid this place like the plague. If you see a property managed by Stevens Realty, RUN LIKE HELL.
