An Irish bar that looks and feels like a lot of Irish bars. There is an Irish bartender, who is friendly, but just friendly enough... I guess he sees a lot of English speakers starved to have a conversation in their native tongue, whom hell never see again. The prices are pretty good and the atmosphere varies from dead-as-disco during the day, to very lively at night, especially if there is a game on.

McCarthy’s is the numero uno bar in Barcelona! Great drinks and very reasonable prices. The staff and customers are very friendly. Absolutely great to be on first name terms with everyone there, you are made to feel welcome as soon as you get in the door. Best Irish pub in town. Owner has consoled me multiple times when crying for no justifiable reason in the bathroom. Ken chooses his staff well. Great atmosphere. Toilet always has loo roll.

Drinks were good, Irish workers were great but the worker who said she was from Iceland was very annoying and rude while we were trying to have a quiet drink. She should learn to read the room before adding her opinion… perhaps do a course on grace and decorum. Would go back, if she was there I’d turn around and run for the hills!!

Came here to watch the Super Bowl. The pub wasn’t too packed on a Sunday night and the bartender was attentive. The drinks are good and fairly priced. Glad I found a place to check out the game. Great vibes and good drinks, can’t go wrong.

This is the first bar we stopped at when we arrived in Barcelona. It wasn't too crowded, has a very chill vibe, and the bartender Tom was awesome.
