Incredible place! we went there with the idea of having a quick meal on our last day of vacation and by chance we found this place, VERY GOOD. The service was excellent, even when they were full, they added an extra table outside so we could have dinner. Which I thought was a very nice gesture on their part. Good value for money and the food was a ¡oh my god!. Authentic Mexican tacos and a delicious hot sauce and a variety of drinks. We were sorry to discover it on our last day, but super happy to find them! ¡Thanks so much!

Jordi made amazing recommendations while ordering and Bruno amazing service at table. The tacos were delicious (special mention to the lamb which was so tasty)! Inexpensive, tasty, filling, if you want a lighter meal for once but with high expectations, this is the place.

I first tried Taco Alto two days ago and came back today after craving it since my first experience. Both the mango and the tamarind margaritas are excellent, its hard for me to pick one I like more! My favorite tacos are the Sinoloa and the Pastor, and the Tinga quesadilla is delicious as well. The vibe inside is immaculate and whoever is in charge of the music seems to play nothing but great songs as well. Classic Kanye, Jay Z and other hip hop greats. Romario is also a super friendly host/server. Will be returning here many many more times.

Small portions but tasty. I recommend the combos because you will have the opportunity to try different things in one dish ☺️ The service is outstanding ❣️

Solid tacos, great service, and cold beer. What's not to like? Ordered four different items and the Baja was the favorite. Lamb was second favorite. Did I mention the cold beer?

The tacos aren’t authentic Mexican-style tacos, but that’s okay because they’re delicious anyway. I like that you can order individual tacos so that you can mix and match to your liking as opposed to most other places in BCN that make you order 3-5 of only one type of taco. My only complaint is that they charge for salsa when ordering from Glovo. For the amount they charge per taco, salsa should be included!!

Went with my girlfriend and asked if they had margaritas and the waiter said they did. As soon as I pay he told me the machine didn't work and that hed give them to us "on the rocks" (I found it already kind of a dirty move). When we got the margaritas they were disgusting. The taste felt like a mix of lime juice, soap and salt. We left them like it looks in the picture (my gf couldn't even have more than one sip). We are locals and this has been our worst drinking experience in Barcelona

Nice selection of tacos to a fair price. However you have to order a lot if you are hungry and you want to get full, as they’re very small. Still, the tacos were very tasty, also the four different sauces you can choose from are amazing. They even have one with Caroline Reaper! (but it’s actually not that spicy). The location is pretty cool, as it’s located right in front of Arc del Triomf. Would for sure recommend and will also come back :)

I had a really bad experience here. I ordered two margaritas thinking I am going to get proper freshly made margaritas given the price, I was served frozen margaritas because they had run out of fresh ones. They didn’t even apologise or explain themselves until I challenged them. Really bad attitude from the serving staff. We left the drinks and the food half eaten and left.

Tasty Tacos, the spiciest sauce could have been slightly spicier though.

My husband and I live nearby and we come to taco alto all the time - delicious and great value for money! They’ve got some great vegetarian options that are full of flavor. The staff are all so chill and friendly, special thanks to Matias for taking such great care of us!

The tacos is absolutely amazing. It is a bit pricey though. If you want to be filled you need to spend min 15€, but trust me, it is absolutely worth every single euro. My personal recommendation is Pirate. I would maybe appreciate terrace in the future, but I will definetely come back

The place’s atmosphere is vibrant and the staff are very nice and welcoming. However, when it comes to the authenticity of the food, I think that it is less authentic than Mexican cuisine, which is generally much simpler than what is presented at Taco Alto. This doesn’t mean that the food is not nice.. it is actually nice food, but not as good as traditional Mexican food.

I discovered Taco Alto in 2019, during my first trip to Barcelona. It was instantly my favorite taco place in the world. But I love to travel and I love tacos. Now I live in Barcelona and I eat there regularly. I highly recommend this place for taco lovers. The margaritas are also amazing.

This is a great place for tacos. They remind me of the kind I would get from Mexican food trucks in the United States — and that’s a GOOD thing! Will definitely go back whenever I have a Mexican street food craving. And the service is great too — I think his name was Matias, he was very friendly.

Place was empty when we arrived. We have ordered via QR code but unfortunately there was no translation and it kept bugging. Food arrived quickly and was hot which was good. Nachos were great. Pulled pork nachos were okay same as veil. However, chicken dishes could do with improvement as it was very greasy and quite dry at the same time. Drinks were okay but very strong. Some tables were dirty too eventhough place was empty.

Love the tacos, the prices, the atmosphere, the service and the place. Recommend it to anyone I ended up ordering 4 tacos and 1 quesadillas because I was hungry 🤤! My favourite was the Tulum taco and the Pirata taco!

I’m so glad we stopped in. Great little spot, great service, and delicious street tacos. We enjoyed each one we tried. We’ll be back.

It was ok. Not the best tacos in Barcelona. Around €2.90 per small portioned taco. If you are very hungry and get a drink, you feel you overpaid. They only took cash orders at the till but told the customers who wanted to pay by card to use the qr code on the tables. When they brought our order it was confusing because they didn't separate the tacos by each order we made separately on our phones. We had to ask them what was what and separate our tacos accordingly. They also didn't have all the hot sauces they advertised. When we asked for some they only had one left that day.

I had dinner here with my friend. The waitress was so polite with his smile. Even though we didn't ask he recommended us all other choices which we found more suitable for us. We were impressed by his service. Thank you so much.

All three vegetarian tacos are delicious. I also really appreciate their non-alcoholic beverages like the Agua Frescas! The quesadillas are very small compared to those from Canada, but very tastey.

the chihuahua was fantastic, other tacos quite good as well. don't forget to take some of the sauce by the counter

Great tacos, good staff and nice atmosphere!

Gone totally downhill. They were out of lots of ingredients, but instead of compensating gave us nachis with literally 1 teaspoon of beans, 3 slices of jalapeños, a teaspoon of cheese, and a quarter teaspoon of sour cream dribbled over it for €10. When questioned about it the server rude and unapologetic and told us we should’ve had meat and if we wanted more beans it would be extra. Absolute joke

Great food for sure, had vegan tacos and good service! The Ambiente is not very inviting, very bright lights and I could use some work, but would Def. Go again for the tacos.

Only ordered tacos. We found it overpriced for the quantity offered. Guess the quality is great but the taste was average. Would not recommend. However, quesadillas were so good and service was fast.

I’ve ordered Tacos Safari, which was absolutely delicious, and Tacos Tinga, which was just a little bit too dry. Also tried the Cactus Quesadilla that was splendid! Friendly service and lovely ambience. Unfortunately, couldn’t try the margaritas as they were out. Sampled the free sauce (unclear what it was) and it definitely had a kick (yummy!).

I live close to Taco Alto Born and can really recommend the tacos. Good quality ingredients and lots of choice. Mattia who took the orders today was wonderful. He explained the ingredients to those who asked, chatted in Italian, Spanish and English. A real star.

Good value for portions, nice experience, beers and tacos are such a nice combination, place is simple and nice, easy to order with a selection of nice tacos, although I did not like the lamb taco, but its just a matter of taste.

We got quesadillas and tacos ! The tacos weren’t so tasty but the quesadillas were amazing ! Kind service ! Might wait for a long time because of the crowd

Amazing food with fair prices. Would highly recommend trying their nachos ‘los americanos’. All the tacos without a doubt were delicious. On top of everything the customer experience was unreal. Jordy gave outstanding service. Spoke amazing english and was overall a great person to meet. Will be back soon!
