This hotel is in major need of renovations. It's most definitely not a 4-star hotel. Pros: - Location is excellent, in the middle of a touristy area. - Friendly and very helpful staff. Cons: - Every time someone opens or closes the door on my floor, every person on that floor can hear/feel it. I was with 5 other people, we had different rooms, and we all said the same thing. - My washroom ceilings would lift up every time I closed the door. Not every room is like this, but mine was. - Tiny elevators, small enough for a maximum of 3 people squished together, or one person with luggage. Overall the location and staff were great, it was more so the old building that I had issues with. Just to be clear, I've been in hotels that had old buildings before, this wasn't my first experience.

Saw an offer of Paella and Tapas for just under €11 outside of the hotel. Assumed it would be a small portion due to price. It was a good size but with one prawn, one mussel and tiny squid. Asked if we wanted sangria. Given a stein sized sangria each. We were charged €25 for each sangria. Service was poor, like eating in a fast food place. Horrified what we were charged. If tempted by the place check drink price because drinks aren't on the menu. I wouldn't go there again.

Full Scam hotel , I booked what they call a suite with a view for 330 euros the night and end up with a room with a fake wall to separate the bed from the salon and on the 1st floor with the balcony on the street looking at the garbage in front of us and people walking in the street looking into our room. For a 4 stars hôtel a good refit is needed , old bathroom and cheap furnitures , if you looking for a Nice place to stay in Barcelona don’t come to this hotel minus 4 stars. Let’s not even talk about the unfriendly staff.

Very bad rooms. Very old and torn interior, walls had hole punches, couch was stained and old fabric. Elevator is extremely small. Hallways smelled extremely bad. Not professional staff, all cleaning equipment was kept in the hallway to the room. Asked for an upgrade of the room maybe it would be better, turns out to be the same condition, hotel was not willing to refund me and didnt care if i stayed or not due to them already receiving my money. Dont advise for anyone who is searching for a decent clean and safe hotel.

Perfect location and very friendly staff. Rooms on the smaller side but very clean and hotel is in the area where there is a lot of sites within walking distance. Breakfast costs a little more (not included) but buffet and very fresh. Lots of staff always willing to help. Please remember Barcelona has many pick pocketer's everywhere so use taxi and keep personal items out of site. Hotel will help with directions anywhere.

Okay so this hotel hits different !!!! I would prefer to stay at serhs hotel than be in the royal ramblas hotel !!! The services are amazing the rooms are clean you can get whatever you want you can even change your room if you didn’t like it , and for the location it’s situated on ramblas wish is a convenable place to shop and everything is near to you and if you’re so hungry you’ll find restaurants near to you like subway … Burger King … it’s so wonderful trust me

This was the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel. We booked months in advance and requested a balcony as a lot of the pictures advertised have them. We were put into a literal closet with no windows it felt like a prison cell. When asked to move they said they were full but could accommodate us in the morning. In the morning we went down and my boyfriend was told to get all of our stuff packed and we can move. We packed all of our stuff then were told to come back at 3, we went back at 3 and were told there was nothing they can do. In addition to this the TV and Netflix didn’t work and when we called them they basically said again nothing they can do. We left the rest of our reservation and went to another hotel. So much better and way cheaper. I think staying in a janitors closet would have been a better experience. Again we travel a lot and I have never experienced such terrible service and am in disgust from this experience.

The triple room was bigger than I expected. They brought the crib in before the night and there was ample space for everything, even our stroller in the doorway. Service was excellent. Front desk guy was very helpful and great. Housekeeping was good. We didn't get the breakfast so I don't know how it's like. It has amenities in the room, safe, fridge, kettle, coffee, tea. There's water too but you have to pay for it. The location is great, close to shops and restaurants. Love it!

We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights (2 adults + 1 child) during the end of July. We booked a Double Comfort room with extra bed, Buffet breakfast included Our room smelt like cigarette smoke and the response we received from reception was that while there's a non smoking policy the guests before us may have smoked in the room and there's not much they can do. They ended up sending housekeeping spraying some air freshener which didn't really help. The location is great, the room was average, breakfast was good but I can't ignore the cigarette smell which wasn't addressed in a satisfying way and has impacted my rating.

Very well located hotel , close to Catalunya , Espagna squares and the beach - walking distance - very convenient to walk around . At your check in , ask for Mr Javier and Joan , the real WoW service. Regards to the other staff members as well Carlos, Desiree, David and the cleaning crew... My wife and I enjoyed our stay ... Very good cooperative staff and especially manager . Breakfast was amazing, and of different variety. Location is also handy on la rambla . We chose la rambla view so we can watch so many street performances while in our room We have enjoyed hotel ,will definitely come again.

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel SERHS Rivoli Rambla on a recent trip to Barcelona. The staff here were friendly and accommodating, and I appreciated the little touches, like water and candy in the lobby. While the room was on the smaller size, it was enough space for two people, and was kept up well by the housekeeping staff. Our room was immaculate when we returned from sightseeing every day! The location is also great, and close to several metro stations. It was well worth the price we paid, and we really enjoyed our stay!

It was okay. The beds are a bit too stiff for my liking and there are some cockroaches in the room , but it is an old building. Great location though and friendly staff.

We had a horrible time. There was no AC in the room although it was part of the booking. When we asked they said the weather is good and no AC is required. Also we couldnt sleep from the street noise, rooms arent sound proof

The Location is perfect for a short city trip! You'll have a roof top terrace and are living right next to the gothic city. Inside its surprisingly quiet and you don't hear much from the people masses strolling on the ramblas. The breakfast buffet had a lot of options and the staff was always friendly. They also offer oat milk, which was a bonus. Although some more vegan options would be nice. The room was big but could use a renovation here and there. But overall I'd recommend this hotel whilst staying in Barcelona.

The hotel has good location also the staff is friendly. The safety that they have is excellent. Floors are noisy you can hear all the doors and you pay 105 € to stay in a room without balcony or at least window for fresh air I think is too much .

First of all, the location is perfect at the heart of Barcelona, La Ramblas. Our room was smelling very bad at the beginning and the view of window was inside of the building which means always dark. Mrs. Carmen from reception tried to fix the smell with the staff but it doesn’t work. So she changed our room to the good one with balcony. Her support and attention was perfect. Thanks Mrs. Carmen and SERHS. We can prefer next time because of this helpful approach.

Great hotel, just had 3 nights there. Right in the centre of the Ramblas, so easy to get to and good central location for visiting the city. Desk staff were friendly and helpful. Room was nice and cleaned every day. Was in a room facing the Ramblas, does get quite noisy at night. Very good hotel.

Everything is ok. Breakfast is Perfect. But the bedroom we stay in is a bit boring. It has a building blocking it. our balcony and bird poop on balcony Another thing is that the hotel is stingy with water, drinks a lot, gives 1 bottle of drinking water the first day and then no more. The way that we have reserved for 5 nights has to buy water to drink by ourselves. We have never stayed in a hotel like this before. Because we have traveled almost across Europe

Great hotel!!! Highly recommend . From the moment you walk in the staff welcomes you with courtesy.the room was clean, the bed was comfortable and breakfast was good. The most important , location. The hotel is located in a center location that is close to all activities, in most cases there is no need for a taxi.

Room cleaning is late. But they took care of everything needed. Lovely persons in the Reception. Maybe most of them... Breakfast ok.

The place is a dump, in urgent need of a serious renovation. Staff is ok at best. The place looks nothing like the pictures. The floor is heavily stained, and the shower is full of mold and rust stains. The AC didn't work through the entire stay and we only had hot water some of the time.

We enjoyed our stay here very much. The location was central to everything, perfect since we did not have a car. The room was generous in size, nicely furnished and the bathroom had an amazing shower. Our favorite part was the staff always went above and beyond

Very central on La Rambla, no ice could be heard from the street and underground subway. Rooms were clean and spacious

10/10 location Clean comfortable room However, very thin walls - can hear everything, specially the hallways. Was waken up by the cleaning crew every morning - their vaccumes and chatter, this was disappointing.

Decent view but compared to the countless other amazing rooftops with a few miles this place falls short. They need to do a complete renovation and start from scratch. Drinks were fairly priced.

This hotel is great choice if you want to stay in La Rambla street. Otherwise it was like a 2-star hotel. The bathroom facilities are outdated. The toilet needs more than 5 flush to get cleaned, bathroom shower needs a big kick to start running and lets not talk about the bathtub.Bathroom door was dirty from inside and made lots of noises. The hair dryer is like my grandmother's from 1945. The beds were not comfortable and kept moving everytime we moved side to side. Surely It was not worth the money we paid, you can find a 5 star hotel just a bit further from that street with 100% better quality. Breakfast was good and staff friendly too.

Location is very good, breakfast was nice. However, the standard room was very disappointing with the money I have paid for 5 nights for this hotel. Ac didn't work properly and room was very hot.If I opened the indoor window the cigarette smoke was coming inside plus the kitchen smell!!! Unfortunately other guests had smoked in common area. Bathroom need to be renovated. Windows feed flyscreen. Water was staying in the basin and didn't drain properly. Crews were not helpful at all. When I told them about my room issues and cigarette smoke, the young guy in reception said that, it's the standard room and that's what you paid for. You can pay extra to get a better room quite rude. In the end, I didn't have any choice rather than paying extra and get a better room with a window to outside. But, because of the renovation and construction work room was very noisy in during the days. So it wasn't comfortable. No one's helped me to move the luggage when i have checked in and out. Not satisfied with the hotel.

I stayed for three nights with my family. The location is great. However, the toilet door was stuck and cannot be closed. I requested fixing it but they say they have no maintenance on my day of arrival. However, I was surprised with someone opening the door on the other day without any permission!! It was really annoying! Of course, the receptionists did nothing other than apologizing. I left after three nights while the toilet is not fixed and they couldn’t manage to meet my schedule of leaving the room daily and they have their maintenance team a priority.

Great hotel, great location, great staff. This hotel is perfectly located on the Ramblas strip. Restaurants, shops, the market, are all conveniently located to this hotel. We had a room on the 6th floor with a terrace that overlooked the action below and had a stunning view of the Park at Tibidabo on the mountain beyond. The only downside was that the 7th floor terrace, spa and bar area was closed during our stay which was a disappointment but what can you do. The room was roomy with a decent sized bathroom. Of all the locations we stayed during our trip, this location had the nicest and most relaxing bathtub for a nice soak at the end of the day. The windows and terrace double doors offer floor to ceiling draps and powered retractable black out curtains which was a nice touch. The bed was comphy and the couch and desk area were adequately spaced for work and comfort. The ac was a bit tricky but ultimste kept the room comfortable. But it lacked the power to keep the room cool throughout the day.(this was with following the rules of windows and doors closed) The hotel had a restaurant on-site that seemed like it would have great sushi but sadly the only day we tried to order they were closed (national holiday-our bad timing lol) the waiting room was also very nice and convenient for when we were transferring from one hotel to an Airbnb and need to kill some time. Overall, this hotel was perfect for being close to the action and offering comfort and style. We loved the terrace which offered us a front seat for night time action below - street dancing, a March for equal rights, and national day parade - as well as just a nice place to relax outside while maintaining some privacy and comfort. If you're in this area, check out this hotel and request a room on the 6th floor with terrace!
