As someone that just leaves the place after reading EVERYTHING, got very disappointed with the very generic and not engaging information displayed. There is a video at the beginning that was a good starting point. After this.. the place is very small you will see everything in around 40min. Saw a lot of things in maintenance. There is one central aquarium with a floor escalator around it, this was the best part of all experience. Overall it is very pricy for what you see. If you go with kids it might be a better experience.

The penguin area is small and could have made it bigger. Aquarium is adjacent to a shopping mall and inside an upmarket Marina. Easy to get to and plenty of restaurants around.

We are a family of 5 and we visited the Aquarium June 2022. First of all we recommend you to buy on line tickets because it’s really easy to buy and you can skip the line and move fast. We enjoyed our visit, kids loved the fishes and the penguins!!!! Many animals to see. Really like the sharks. They are really big. This was the second time I be been there but I really liked it.

We were here for Halloween. They offered to any child in costume free access. What a great opportunity! It was an amazing visit. You experience the water life going through Tunnels. My favorite were the reef sharks with a Black tip. You also get informed well about water life, Environment Issues and more. My kids LOVED the submarine boat and probably played an hour in it - we had to drag them out :) Its definitively worth a visit. Best, do not visit with a car as the parking is extremely expensive.

Nice place to go with family however, I felt it was way too overpriced for it was. There is not a lot to do with kids and they do get bored very quickly. It will probably take you less than an hour to get around the whole aquarium as it’s fairly on the small side and gets crowded very quickly. They need to provide better walk way systems and maybe an interactive play or activity area for kids? Overall, I did enjoy it and if in the area and need to pass time it’s worth a visit.

But you're in Barcelona, one of the most visited cities in Europe. What do you expect? So all in all, I'd still recommend it if you have kids. They'll enjoy this place for sure. I honestly have always loved Aquariums as they are super relaxing in my opinion and this one was not the exception to that rule. Barlona's aquarium is incredible, they have many sea species with different colours, tonalities and personalities. My personal favourite was the big tank where many fishes, rays and sharks are together. It was just amazing as the whole tank was sorrouded by a very slowly but always moving ground that allowed visitors to step on it to be moved around the tank and enjoy the view from different angles. The other amazing part was the jellyfishes and big lobsters. It was very dark and unique with neon colours even though it was a small area overall.

It is interesting that they also have tunnels through which you can go under water. They do have shark diving as well. They also advertise the feeding times of certain fishes so you can view that too. Decided to go to the aquarium with our 14 month old since it was a very hot day and we wanted to do something indoors. The Aquarium was nice and a great way to spend a couple of hours indoors with kid(s). We could complete it comfortably in 2 hours and they also had a food court at the end, where you can get a bite and a drink. Recommended as an indoor activity with children to spend a few hours. We went on a weekday - Monday at around noon and it was very comfortable and not crowded. Great connectivity and very accessible by the bus.

Yes, they have penguins there, and they are adorable. The rest of the displays are nothing out of ordinary. About the prices, they are relatively high. I recommend buying tickets online, cos you skip the long lines and pay less. There are also photos taken, by the aquarium staff, of every guest at the beginning of the tour. We arrived 1 hour before closing time and there were no queues. This time is enough for going around and taking photos. Note the first floor has shorter working hours - it closes at 6:30 pm and the second floor where there are the kids' activities closes at 7 pm. If you bring kids, you'll probably need more than an hour as the place is perfect for the small ones.

Cool place to visit with family, very good location, parking is pretty near, about 3 min walk. Photos speak about themselves.

The aquarium is not very big but it is an interesting place to visit especially for kids. They can see many species of fishes, sharks, jellyfish and even penguins. At the entrance The aquarium has a time table for feeding the animals, so it is kinda fun to watch if you have the occasion. At the end of your visit, you can buy aquarium themed or Barcelona souvenirs or you can grab something to eat at the restaurant. All in all it is a nice place to visit.

Its breathtaking and i will advise anyone to go in the day time as you will need the daylight to enhance your pictures because it get way dark as the the evening comes.

Unbelievable experience!! So fun to walk around big fishes and sharks. Recommend to everybody who is visiting Barcelona with family, friends or even alone. Took me around one hour to go trough the whole thing. My favorite were jellyfishes and sharks !!

Awesome experience for kids and adults alike. My kids were really excited about seeing sharks and the underwater tunnel experience was the best way for them to get their fill. Easy to navigate all of the different exhibits and see the different creatures, even with the crowds that would hover around the glass. We ate lunch in the cafe near the interactive exhibits and it was a nice area for all of us to recharge before feeding the koi fish in the ponds, checking out the sting rays and seeing the penguins put in an acrobatic swim show. Definitely recommend visiting and also enjoying La Rambla del Mar right down the street. Plenty of shopping, dining and sights close by as well. I recommend purchasing the tickets online to avoid having to wait in line to purchase so that you can enjoy your time at the aquarium with or without kids. Located near a metro stop, so easy to get to and explore the Port Vell área.

I enjoyed the place but was expecting more. At first they have kept tanks of different species. And then a big pool of sharks. This part is what I loved.

Not one of the biggest aquariums, but they have something for everyone. A nice round tour at the basement, with lots of information about every fish at every tank. Play land for children in first floor, and a small cafe with something to eat. At the end before you leave is there a huge shop with trinkets you can buy. If you have nothing to do, this is a nice stop.

Nice aquarium, not as crowded during the weekday. There were a lot of different sea creatures to see, as well as penguins. Lots of sting rays, sharks, and an entire room of different jellyfish breeds. The gift shop could of had more selections, but overall a great experience!

Good experience overall and recommended to visit with your children as they would love it very much. The staff was nice as well. Personally I found the ticket a bit expensive but it was a good experience. You can find penguins here too if you have never seen any before :). I would recommend checking their website to buy tickets instead of buying on the spot as there are some sort of sales and discounts on the website and also you can skip the lines at the counter.

The aquarium is very nice and well looked for by the staff. It is extremely crowded, though, for its dimensions and that can become quickly overbearing. It’s a great (and ironic) contrast between the peacefulness of the aquariums and the yells and screams of the visitors. I really didn’t like the penguins enclosure, I thought it was one of the saddest things I’ve seen in my life, they didn’t look happy at all.

The Aquarium is a good place to spend a couple of hours. I have visited the aquarium in Singapore & as compared to that one, the variety of fish is very less. But first time visitors will surely be spellbound especially good for children. Make sure to book your tickets online as there is a long queue at the ticket booking stall.

Nice little setup. Has an automates walk way at one point where you get to go through the under glass aquarium. Tickets are outside of the building in a separated stand close to the entrance. Had penguins but no outside view. Still very adorable. Wish there was more for the price but it was still fun to pass time with.

Unfortunately I didn't feel that this was any greater than my local aquarium back home. Me and my partner completed it in 45 minutes, and although there were the two walk-through tunnels where you can see fish for 180 degrees around you, there was nothing that would make me return or recommend this to anyone whose already been to another aquarium before. On the other hand, it was a nice experience and i have nothing bad to say about the location, the service, the staff nor the facilities.

The aquarium was really good. I loved every moment of it. It was really interesting and a wide variety of fish can be seen there. The underwater tunnel was my favourite part. The line at the tickets was short, but there aren't any family tickets you have to buy singles and it's expensive. It was worth the experience.

Great for kids! The animals didn’t seem very happy to be there though, especially the (sad) penguins, trapped in such a small place!!! Cafeteria is on the second floor. There are also outside terraces where you can relax and enjoy the food your brought from home. About 2 hours to check the whole place. If you want to make photos, know that it’s dark inside and you cannot use flash, of course. Clean bathrooms but small to visit with a small child. Easy parking besides the Acuàrium(Indigo parking, about 10€ for 2 hours). No line waiting to get tickets on the spot(we visited on a Tuesday). Schools with infants visiting while we were there. There is a play area in the second floor for small kids. Temperature: not cold at all; the contrary. Cute gift shop.

Our children were so excited to visit the aquarium. Some displays were great and we appreciated learning new things about the sea life, the overall feeling was a bit underwhelming however as the aquarium itself is a lot smaller than we imagined, especially for the price.

Cute aquarium with many kinds of Mediterranean and Tropical fish, including a large enclosure with sharks and manta rays. There was a sad looking penguin enclosure that made me feel quite bad for them. A great place for families with smaller children, but also fun for couples and a way to get out of the heat for a few hours.

Beautiful big aquarium. Lots of different colored fish. Specially bred coral reef. And of course sharks that you can watch while eating. I highly recommend it to all young and old and whole families.

Want to see sharks in action? Then this is the perfect aquarium to witness them. Not one or two, but several sharks can be sighted, and some of them are really gigantic. The best part of it is that the floor rotates on its own, and you can make an automatic round of the huge aquarium without tiring your feet. Apart from the wide display of fish and aquatic creatures, the place also has a children's play area, and yes, there are penguins too.

Very nice place! Definitely would recommend it if you are visiting for more than 4-5 days. If you visit for less it's okay to skip a visit here. The tickets are a bit on the pricey side although the variety of fish and other sea wildlife is wonderful. Maintenance must be high that's maybe a reason for the pricey tickets. Also the pictures you take when you enter are over the moon pricey I think it was like 15€+ for one pick which is almost half the entrance fee. Regardless it's a great way to spend a few hours just roaming around and observing sea animals.

I'd give it 5 stars, but €25 is a tad pricey, our teens wanted to come here and really did enjoy it. Has some cool factors to it. I'm sure for younger kids it's even cooler. I, as an adult, loved the shark tank 😉😎

It's totally worth the money. There are many fish tanks with al the sea creatures that can come to your mind (crabs, langustas, prawns, octopus, sea horses , jelly fish, sharks etc.). The best part is when you ride on the moving pavement around huge fish tanks. I recommend paying the tickets online in advance so you can skip the line.

Great place to spend a couple of hours with the kids. Sea animals are amazing, the entire place is very comfortable and accessible for strollers, which was important for us. They have a nice activity at the end where you can feed some fish with a bottle, and a nice cafeteria. Cafeteria and souvenirs are very pricey. Please book tickets online as the lines to the ticket office were very long.

An awesome aquarium! Full of fish and ecosystems from all over the world, English explanations and descriptions which is always a plus. They had a cool massive tank where the fish were able to swim overhead. Just step on the moving floor and take in all the fish. They had the opportunity to swim with the sharks, but I did not take that option. Penguins! They have penguins as well. Kids would love it, no shortage of animals to see.

Great thing to see, especially for children.. Ticket is 25e for adult which I think must be cheaper...Always full of people inside and outside wait to come in but no long wait to come in, maybe 5-10min...Inside you can see so many different fishes from all over the world... In one room there is little cinema to look some film about sharks and other things... Near every aquarium you have name of that fish inside and detailed explanation where they live... The biggest attraction is big aquarium with different big sharks and fishes... In one separate room you can see some penguins... For my opinion the aquarium must be more bigger for city like Barcelona... All recommendations for visit and take some nice pictures and videos if you are in Barcelona

I liked it, not bad. There were a lot of different fish, I saw such large sharks and rays for the first time. I really liked the aquarium overhead. It seemed a little dirty to me, especially with the penguins. Very cool stingrays! They seem to smile, I’m delighted!

The whole experience lasts approx an hour. There are multiple aquariums with different kinds of fish, algae, starfish, and other weird creatures of the water. There's a sliding passage that takes you through a big tank that has water (and fish) all over the sides and above. Then there are the penguins. At the beginning you are warmly greeted by a very handsome ticket vendor.

I recently visited L'Aquàrium de Barcelona and it was an amazing experience! 🤩 I was able to explore the beautiful underwater world and see a variety of fish and other aquatic life. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the prices were very reasonable. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and enjoyable experience. 🐠

Great place to bring our grandson for an afternoon of fun and learning. The variety of marine life is very entertaining. Feeding the carps was a must too. It was easy to buy the ticket online when we got there and saw the long line to buy them. Tip: if you want to drink water, Laranjon is what you will look for. There are vending machines all over the place specifically for them. At first I didn’t realize the brand name, which made me thing was orange juice, actually meant that it was water

Overcrowded and money grabbing. Such a disappointment. They oversold the tickets, the very good displays were ruined by having to queue to see into every single tank. Too crowded to read about the wildlife. Very uncomfortable. On the way in they funneled us through into a long queue so they could make everyone have a 'fun family photo' taken, which they could then try and flog to us later. Just so annoying when we didn't want a photo having already paid top dollar for the tickets (no decent child discount, no family tickets) to then deliberately inconvenience us to the ends of squeezing more money out of us. Not great.

Unique experience in the heart of Barcelona. We really enjoyed the moving walkway under the large shark exhibit. Would recommend going on a weekday if possible to avoid crowds. The also had a fun interactive submarine for the kids to play in.

It should be one of the ‘must visits’ in Barcelona but it was a bit of a disappointment. The Aquàrium was opened over 20 Year’s ago and it really looks like that. The experience is a bit outdated and truly in need of some renovations. You won’t spend hours here; one hour will do the job. Pro’s: really nice to see all the different fishes and sea life. The large walk through part is still impressive. Negatives: some water tanks were closed, construction works going on, escalators didn’t work, cafetaria overpriced. The entry fee is actually too high for what is offered. Would we come again? I don’t think so.
