It's great location, good rooms, nice staff buuuut i give 1 star because for each night you stay in you need to deposit 50 euro not negotiable, i tried. If you are staying for a week get ready for having additional 250 euro to be blocked by the hotel for 5 days until you leave. For wealthy people no problem. For everyone else might be. Customer should be informed upfront on doing the reservation and they are not. 1 star for misinformation.

Honestly, not super impressed. Wish I was. It’s our last night here (big group, booked six rooms) and I wouldn’t come back again. They advertise as a 5 star hotel which is a joke… they are not even close. Don’t be fooled. The good: 1) Location, location, location! It is centrally located. Lots of bars and restaurants near by. Taxi stand around the corner. Really is a great landing spot to explore Barcelona 2) friendly staff. Everyone was smiling, helpful and kind. Front desk spoke several languages fluently. They were very helpful with dinner reservations. 3) rooftop pool: It is stunning! Beautiful views of the city, although small. 4) cleanliness: the property and rooms were sparkling clean: The not so good: 1) size: Rooms are small, bathrooms tight 2) aesthetics: The decor is dated and furniture is chipped and dirty. There were coffee ring stains all over surfaces of the desks and tables. 3) room was not ready for nearly two hours after check-in time. We were offered a drink coupon as compensation 🙄 4) Air Conditioning: Two out of the six rooms have inefficient cooling systems. One room is utterly unacceptable. It does not get cooler than about 24.5/25C in the room (75/76F). Ungodly hot. When the front desk was informed they sent maintenance who opened up the vent which was filthy. Even after cleaning it still does not get cold. I understand North Americans are used to chillier A/C but this unacceptable even by European standards. Very disappointing. Call me crazy but after spending nearly €5000 one would think the room would have adequate A/C. They are selling rooms for almost €500 tonight. You can’t charge that much and call yourself a 5-star hotel with an AC so inefficient. Invest in upgrading the hvac system across the hotel

Rooftop pool is GREAT, even in the winter when it's too cold to get in, and the bar is well staffed. Beyond that, just OK. Concierge wasn't manned, and when someone was there it was just a front desk attendant who was pleasant but couldn't even suggest a bike tour. Restaurant was pretty good but very expensive, even for this area. Breakfast would be sub par for a 3* hotel; maybe the made-to-order options make up for it. Room was fine; shower has great water pressure but runs out on the floor.

Fantastic all around. No complaints. The staff were so nice, and you could tell they tried to remember us and have a bit more conversation rather than the 'hi, how are you' basic stuff. The breakfast was great. The location is killer. Would definitely come back to this one!

You could have fooled me if I did not know better or stayed at some authentic 5 star hotels. There is definitely room for improvement here. They need to make sure the room is ready to accept guests. Make sure AC , safe are working properly. The morning breakfast clearly needs working on as well. You have to constantly flag an employee to order an omelette or get service. It’s obvious employees are overworked and understaffed. Rooms are not well cleaned as there are hairs on the floor. Again could be an understaffing issue. For the price they charge the least they can do is make sure they deserve the 5 star rating they tagged in themselves.

A good Hotel to stay in Barcelona. The Breakfast is good and you‘ve got a lot to choose from, during Corona times it‘s well organised and clean, with a lot of the food being in Plastic/Paper containers and bags and a part of the Food is given to you by the waiters, which also gives more hygiene to the buffet. The rooms are clean and totally good enough for a stay of a few days. In my room I had only one problem with the shower, where the ceiling was cracked and water was dripping from it when I used the Rain-shower. Thus I only used the normal shower-head. It was still good enough though, and it didn‘t bother me much. The bed was good and not dirty or anything. The Location is great! It‘s located just at the rambla and from there there‘s great acces to the city center and also local restaurants. Just ten meters down the street one of the best Tapas restaurants in Barcelona is located: Ciutat comtal, I really recommend you to go there!! That‘s about it. Greetings, Tom (02.08.21)

We arrived at the hotel after getting off the cruise ship to spend a few days in Barcelona in August 2023. Our room wasn’t ready so the hotel held our bags while we did a tour of the city. Our room was ready when we got back to the hotel and the room must have been 90+ degrees. No AC whatsoever. Maintenance came up to change out the AC filter and said it’s cooling down now. Wrong…that did absolutely nothing. I had the guest relations manager, Maria come to our room and she said it is very hot. She said there were no other rooms available that night and brought us a fan. She said they could move us to another room in the morning and to have our bags packed. I was furious. I also explained the shower door wouldn’t close and water went all over the floor so a maintenance person had to come fix it. We wasted several hours of our day dealing with these issues and it was extremely frustrating. How does your Housekeeping team not notice the AC is not working when they are supposedly cleaning the room when it wasn’t ready? The AC in the room the next day was much better but the damage had been done! This is definitely not a 5 star hotel. It’s in need of an upgrade as others have stated. Rooms look dirty. The location and the rooftop bar is the best thing about the hotel. Since this hotel was booked through our cruise line, I have provided this information to them and expect to be reimbursed as no amount of money was worth being in that room our first night.

I don’t think this hotel should be labeled 5 star. The rooms are very basic with stains on the walls and floors. Service is also not five star. I asked what time I could expect the room cleaned and they said anytime. So I requested cleaning at 10:30am, waited 45 mins in the lobby and checked at the front desk three times and still not ready. I returned at 2pm and the room still wasn’t cleaned. I spoke with 3 people in person at the front desk and still not ready. This was an over promise and under delivery. Definitely well below 5 star expectations overall.

Location is great. Very central and so easy to get to so many places. Service of front desk staff was also very good. The room itself was fine, but not 5 stars. The rooftop (pool and bar) was beautiful and a great place to view the city. Drink prices are high for the city but somewhat expected for this rooftop. Overall it was a fine stay, but not as nice as expected for the price.

Stay somewhere else and save yourself the time, money, and frustration. I gave this review two stars, even though the Hotel may be a 3 star. It is definitely not a 4 or 5 star by any means. Check-in was fine. Room was okay size but here were our issues. The room was not cleaned. There was sticky liquid or some substance all over the floor as soon as we walked in. My wife then put our bags down, called the front desk, then took off her shoes to then cut herself on a shard of glass that was on the floor next to the mini bar. Our room had a window, but it opened up to some other rooms terrace. If those people wanted to use their terrace, and we had our windows open, they would be able to see everything. Due to our trip being three weeks, we needed to use the laundry service. We willed out the paperwork and requested same day return. Which is an option - but comes with an extra service charge. The hotel did not complete the laundry the same day. We waited till the next day and called the hotel services to see where it was, and they said they could call us back. They never did. We called again two hours later, and they said it would be returned in the afternoon. We left for a few hours and came back at 7pm. The laundry still was not returned. We called yet again, and the staff said it would be returned in 30 min. We waited two more hours for it to get returned. Thank God, since our flight was the next day and we needed to leave at 2am. Please just go somewhere else. The most impressive thing about this hotel was the breakfast. Otherwise, I would have stayed somewhere else. I will be informing all friends, family, and coworkers to not stay here. I suggest you do the same. Unless you like throwing money down the drain and paying for sub-par hospitality services.

Very good location, but with the current heat, the AC at the hotel struggles to keep up. Our room is on the warmer side, and despite requesting the front desk have someone look into it, no one ever showed up; we will be checking out early due to this and will not be back. Overall, great potential here, but very disappointing.

Not at all a 5 star hotel. It may have the room count, the rooftop bar, and the location, but don’t let those things fool you. I’ve stayed at Ibis hotels and Super 8s in the US that are nicer. Every surface is stained or dirty. AC didn’t work in our first room. Door lock broke in the second room. Rooms have the starkness of a university dormitory. Seems like the clientele is more of a youth hostel crowd and disappointed older people whose travel service didn’t know any better.

I had an absolutely incredible stay at this hotel in Barcelona. The hospitality was outstanding from the moment we arrived. We had just disembarked from a cruise at 5:30 am, and they graciously allowed us to check in much earlier than expected, understanding how exhausted we were. The front desk informed us that our room might be smaller than what we originally booked, but to our surprise, it was still incredibly spacious - we couldn't even imagine how massive our original choice might have been. The decor throughout the hotel and rooms was modern and chic, creating a luxurious ambiance that we were obsessed with. Even the attention to detail with the toiletries was impressive - everything felt high-end and luxurious. Our room had plenty of space and was stunningly designed, making it the most comfortable hotel room we've ever experienced. I must say, this hotel exceeded all our expectations. We are so grateful for the flawless experience we had - it truly made our trip to Barcelona unforgettable. We can't wait to return and experience this stunning hotel again. A definite 5-star recommendation.

Everything was perfect! This hotel is located in a great area of Barcelona, close to lots of great attractions, Metro, restaurants, shops, etc. Friendly and helpful staff and great Concierge service. Breakfast was superb. They had everything and we really enjoyed our stay. We would defiantly come back!

Had a great night's stay here on the 8th of December with my wife and daughter. A fantastic hotel with great service and a really good breakfast. The views from the terrace bar are great and the prices of the cocktails are reasonable. Would definitely come back.

The staff are very friendly and welcoming, always on hand to offer help. The location is very close to lots of metro stops and walkable to lots of other places too. We asked staff for recommendations for beaches and they were very helpful and also on hand to order taxis. It smells really nice as soon as you enter the hotel and the rooms are very spacious with all the amenities you need. The rooftop pool and bar are very relaxing.

The NH Collection Barcelona Podium is fantastic. The entire staff if so friendly and helpful (especially Nils in Guest Relations!). The rooms are small but nice and clean and the breakfast buffet is large with great food choices for everyone in our family. . We would highly recommend it!

Our stay at the NH Collection in Barcelona was not what we expected. Let me start by saying that the staff here is AWESOME! They are very very kind and helpful. The reason I’m giving it 2/5 stars is because of the hotel/hotel room itself. The room is not in good condition. There are several issues starting with the shower. There is no curtain or sliding door! The water gets everywhere all over the bathroom floor and it is slippery. The fridge, desk, bedside tables are all banged up with scrapes and scuffs. The ceiling in the bathroom is also messed up. The nice thing was our balcony. We had a room with a small terrace/balcony and that was nice! But all in all, it did not feel like a 5 star hotel what so ever.

Fantastic hotel, great location and even better staff and service. We loved staying here. Beds are super comfortable. Mara at the front desk was incredibly friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious! Huge variety and very friendly staff. We especially loved talking to Marias who was so sweet and helpful. Can’t wait to come back!

This was an amazing hotel to visit. Me and my partner stayed at the hotel for our 1 year anniversary & we had planned for flowers. They delivered what was asked and bouquet of flowers were very beautiful & also came with a complimentary cake. Anyone looking to be near all the tourist attractions, this hotel is the spot to be and the staff are so welcoming and friendly. Would definitely recommend.

We decided to choose This great hotel to spend our honeymoon. They surprised us with some candies and free upgrade to our reservation! I’d like to thank the staff and their manager. Best location in Barcelona. Many of good restaurants just steps by the hotel.

Not worse the money. The only good thing is the location which was 5 minutes walk from Catalonia square. The stuff was very unpleasant, the breakfast is very basic We stayed there for 5 days and our room cleaned only once. They told us to hang a sign on the door when we want to ask for cleaning but no one really came. The pool that on the roof is nice but small and there is not enough beds so if you didn't came early morning you won't have bed.

Great hotel to stay. The rooms are comfortable and good size. The breakfast is great. Location is in the center. Nice rooftop bar. Small remarks walls are thin so you can hear you neighbors or outside noises.

We had a very pleasant stay at the NH Podium. The staff was extremely friendly and helped us tremendously during our stay whenever we were in need of something. The rooftop had a great pool to cool down and the service on the rooftop itself was also very pleasant. We did have some issues in the room (not a dealbreaker) and when we addressed them to the hotel staff, they immediately fixed it and compensated us for it. Would highly recommend this to friends and family. Also the location is great and is very central and close to almost everything you could want in Barcelona. Even though it is not close to the beach, it is close to a bus that brings you right to the beach.

It is a great hotel if you want to have an awesome 360’ view of Barcelona and enjoy a rooftop pool. We enjoyed our time However I think there are couple of things that can be improved. The gym is tiny and It literally has only one treadmill. Another thing is that we had to be careful when we were showering because it could easily cause the bathroom to flood. Finally drinks at the rooftop are a bit pricey.

Loved my stay at the hotel. Seems to be newly renovated. The highlights are the bar and the pool on the roof with a great view over Barcelona. Only the breakfast was a little bit disappointing with the limited selection of warm dishes but I guess that's because of COVID restrictions.

The location is amazing. The hotel is really nice with a great lobby, the rooms are clean and spacious. Our TV wasn't working they had to come and fix it a few times. Room service is also surprisingly good.

Everyone at this hotel is fantastic, They are without a doubt some of the sweetest and kindest people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. Natalia specifically, SHE WAS AMAZINGGGG. helped my 2 disabled parents and me with site seeing, flight planning, dinner plans, and many many more assistance. Also every bellboy, server, bartender, and front desk, was extremely helpful, nice and would stop at nothing to make sure me and my family had an amazing memorable time. Can't wait to see this amazing hotel and this amazing staff again on my next stay. 100% recommended.

Hotel was lovely, clean and central the breakfast was the best I've had. We booked a twin room and unfortunately got a double, when we asked them to change the bed we were told that house keeping would do it the following day which is a bit late. Also I was over charged when paying so make sure you double check this, especially as it's taken 3 weeks and still not sorted out yet.

I stayed here as my favorite hotel (Catalonia Ramblas, 4* sup) was fully booked over the Saint Jordi weekend. What makes this hotel worthwhile is the location. The accommodation itself is not anything special, the double bed was a bit squeaky when tossing and turning. The bathroom is quite big, and the rain shower is nice though water pressure seemed a bit off. I personally would not consider this hotel 5-star, it is at best a 4-star hotel. The finishes are a bit dated and some elements are chipped, etc. which makes it less nice than many other 5-star hotels I have stayed at. If you can find a good deal, then the location makes staying here worth it. If you want a true 5-star/luxury experience, you might be better off elsewhere. The staff are very helpful and accommodating, however, and were willing to accommodate an early check-in at 11:30 AM.

Room was very clean and the service was excellent. When we walked in we were warmly greeted by Margarita who was so wonderful and extremely helpful. The hotel helped me find a good nail salon in the area. The location was extremely central and the rooftop bar was unbeatable — would definitely return.

Very nice location, comfy large rooms but not 5*. I thought front Desk was so-So but other workers in Lobby better. Lost 2 stars because of the price (way too much for the quality of the hotel) and breakfast. The latter was was too expensive for what it is. Juices were great but the rest (including breakfast staff average).

The hotel is really well located, rooms were newly renovated, clean and quiet. We had a wonderful stay here and loved loved loved the rooftop pool and bar. Stunning view and good food. Hope to be back.

Great location near the airport bus terminal, metro, taxi station and very walkable to most of Barcelona. The rooms were a decent size with sitting area, coffee, tea and a beautiful view. The bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows and nice sheets. However, the air in the rooms was incredibly dry. We needed to open a window or run a hot shower just to get some humidity in the bedroom. Also the shower water is heavily chlorinated. The hotel could use a water softener if they want to appeal to a 5 star standard. The gym was nice with basic weights and properly functioning gear. They also include water and delicious apples in the gym. We did not eat the hotel breakfast due to the outrageous €29 per person cost. We looked at the breakfast options and it is t worth half of what they charge. There are several better and less expensive breakfast options available just a short walk away from the hotel. The rooftop bar is beautiful and has a great view of the city. When you skip a room cleaning, the hotel is supposed to provide you with a free drink token for the bar. However, we had to go to reception to ask for our drink tokens. The free drinks do not include cocktails. Only house wine, and Heineken is included. Overall, it was a nice hotel and we would stay here again.
