The hotel did not provide with the bare necessities like water for drinking, blankets or sheets for sleeping. When we contacted the hotel staff he said that its the new policy to save energy. How do they save energy by not providing water? When asked for a dental kit twice, still did not get it even after waiting for 1 hour. And the water bottle they sell in the hotel is super expensive compared to the supermarkets and shops outside. 1 small 250 ml bottle cost 2.1€ whereas 1 ltr bottle costs 1.3€ outside.

Spent a wonderful three days here as a family group with our children. Our stay with you was a joy from start to finish, especially the plentiful, nutritious breakfast at the beginning of each day. You really must book the breakfast! At every point the staff did everything they could for us. Thank you so much. 💓 The location is the perfect mix of close enough to everything without being in the middle of the chaos. And every night there's those stupendous views right across the city.

It was such a nice stay! We booked a suite room for 8 nights. We also got free minibar every day. Perfect location for the festival (Primavera sound) not too far not too close you can walk or take the tram. The staff are super nice and helpful. Shopping mall just around the corner.

All the time problems with hotel cards, it was problem with choosing floor in elevator, opening doors and so on. Good breakfest but each day you had to wait for table. Hotel is rather old but clean. Rooms for 4 people rather small but if you are for sightseeing it's acceptable.

Stayed for 7 days with two rooms, huge difference between price and quality. Very often long queues in reception, which we had to visit daily as the room keys stopped working for no obvious reason. The gym room was very small. The rooftop with a swimming pool was quite nice but few seats and sun beds and often over crowded. The swimming pool was also quite dirty with litter laying around for the entire week. Most of staff was friendly and did what they could with the resources they had available. Good location and really nice view from the roof.

The rooms are similar to a best western - small and in need of an upgrade. Not worth the price you pay to stay there. The rest of the hotel is beautiful (lobby/pool/gym). Little far from any night life or anything. (€10 taxi from popular tourist spots)

We have just gotten home from a week-long stay with our baby, the Staff were amazing but obviously, communication was challenging. we did have a "family suite" but that is only a sleeper couch in the room, there were open plug sockets near the floor - surely a room with a family they could have some covers over the plugs if nothing else. the rooms are very basic and they only have paper cups and no teaspoons, not what you would expect from 4 stars and surely it would cost more and cause more waste. when it came time for check out we asked for the invoice, unfortunately, it was only in Spanish, I am very confused as to how a hotel can not translate a bill into any language. overall our stay was ok, I think the staff made it nicer than it really was, and the location was good with public transport very close by.

My mother & myself were in Spain in August of this year & had a lovely stay at Hotel Novotel for a portion of our trip. The staff was incredibly friendly & welcoming & the rooms were clean & neat. We loved the atmosphere around the entire hotel but especially by the rooftop! The bellman, Ivan was so polite & informative as well. We hope to be back very soon, love from South Africa😊🇿🇦

Lovely rooms. Great breakfast at 14 euros and kids eat free. City bus tour stop 100 yrds away and taxi rank right outside. Lovely pool terrace at the top of hotel however a distinct lack of sunbeds for the area but the pool and jacuzzi are freezing cold

My room was spacious, restful and spotlessly clean. All the staff I met were friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet had a huge range, which was appealingly presented, and everything I tried was delicious. My colleagues visited the pool and said the water was warm and views were amazing.

Travelling with three kids, we loved how friendly everybody was, specifically the staff at reception and breakfast. The latter was really good in terms of selection and quality of food. The rooms were nice, but in some details one can see deficits in workmanship (silicone joints in the bathrooms, planks at the pool). Overall, we would definitely return, although being forced to book two rooms with two kids and a newborn makes it quite expensive.

Overall pretty good.. But no milk ever left in the room had to ask every day and got bored of asking.. Bed was huge and comfortable... Roof terrace is cool but the pool is small and mainly for kids... The gym is very poor. So small, especially in such a large hotel. Room for 4 people maximum... Location isn't the best.. I would recommend buying a travel pass because most places we go to where at least a 40 minute walk.. Although the area where the hotel is does seem to be growing...

As you would expect from a Novotel, clean and convenient, rooms a good size and the staff were there when you needed them. My only negative is the elevator situation; whilst there are 3 dedicated to the lobby and up to the rooms, the speed at which they move and respond is practically glacial. It's obvious the hotel knows about this issue as they have tried to remedy the long wait by placing brain teaser games on the doors, helping you to pass the time. I prefer to stay as far away from the street level as possible as the area can get very busy with morning/evening commuters, which means a longer elevator ride. I would stay again if like this time the Hoxton next door wasn't available. Worth a stay if you're not in a rush or you don't mind staying on the lower levels.

We had our flight cancelled unexpectedly so booked into this hotel for 2 nights. We were so pleased with our choice as the accommodation was brilliant. The children loved the pool and rooftop bar. The hotel is a bit out of Barcelona centre but walkable. We loved exploring the area - large shopping centre next door and a huge selection of lovely restaurants and coffee bars. All in all very glad we stayed here. Big thanks to Ivan for sorting a taxi and our luggage.

We loved our stay at Novotel. The location was perfect, the room was spotless, the housekeeping staff did a great job. The front desk staff was very friendly and professional. They answered all our questions. We had two dinners at the on-site restaurant and enjoyed our meals very much. We look forward to staying at Novetel affiliated hotels in the future!

Hotel is conveniently located near subway station and also a shopping area withots of restaurants. Rooms are nice, clean. Breakfast is very good, with a lot of options Top floor restaurant offers a nice view and a good range of cocktails. The best thing about the hotel is the personnel, always helpful and kind.

It wasn't special at all and they ruined my vacation. The reception team up to the manager of the hotel are rude and not professional at all. they only care about money and how they would charge you more than required. They charged me city tax for 3 adults and we were only 2 adults and 2 kids. They forced me to purchase another room for having one more infant less than 2 years and I told them that I had the same setup and same family members during my stay in Istanbul and Rome but they forced me to purchase another room, I believe they treated us this way because we are Muslims and Arab only, for other guests they are smiling and welcoming them all the way. I will never visit it again. I don't recommend it at all for Arabs and Muslims.

Booked this hotel for a corporate event needing lots of rooms (40+) over multiple days. XAVIER MARTIN was incredibly helpful, keeping track of our ever changing needs and keeping me up to date with everything I needed to I know. If there were any problems, they were handled so quickly and efficiently that nobody has mentioned them to me (which when organizing this size of event is unheard of) Reports back are that the hotel was very clean, comfortable, accommodating, perfect location, and delicious breakfast! I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER WITH THIS HOTEL AND THE STAFF

Had an amazing 3-night stay here this week. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. The room we had was on the 18th floor and had incredible views over the city! The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom had everything you could want and more. Will definitely stay here again when next in Barcelona

The location of the hotel is easy to access. The underground parking is very useful in this kind of city. The people were welcomed and the checkin very quick. The room (we had a family room for 4) was very nice and comfy and clean. The extra-bed was already there and ready (sofa-bed). The toiletries are good. And the view to the city fabulous. We experienced the bar and swimming pool at the roof-top. Very nice area, with friendly staff but THE NEGATIVE point is the water of the swimming pool and the jacuzzi which is freezing! Not very nice in October. The breakfast is very good with a lof of choice in the products. Thankfully we arrived on-time, just before the crowd and didn't wait to be placed. After, people had to wait 30 minutes minimum to be placed! It is not normal for this kind of hotel not to be able to manage the breakfast affluence during the weekend. The check-out was easy and quick.

I am a frequent guest of this hotel and I can say that I have always the same impression as the location is very good and the staff are very kind, friendly and helpful and its specious and clean rooms are very convenient but the living room in the suite needs more lighting. Finally, I would like to thank you all, the management and the staff in the front office for taking care of my stay every time I stay there.

Bed was comfortable, nice view of Barcelona. Roof top bar and pool with another restaurant on the ground floor. Staff were kind and professional. Taxi rank across the street. Walking distance from my shopping mall and plenty of food options. A couple of Metro stations nearby.

We were there with our children for a weekend on a birthday celebration. We felt they took care of us with all the heart. They changed our booking dates showing adaptability and empathy with us. Then they gave us a birthday surpise with golden baloons, a card and a little cake in the room. The views from the room were stunning: the Agbar tower by day and by night. We strongly recommend it.

What you would expect if you have visited other Novotel's. The rooms are alright but some it is clear that they are a bit worn and some things need replacing but it was still clean on the whole. Rooms are a good size and came with shower amenities too but the TV did not work. The pool was nice with great views of Barcelona!

Great location and very friendly and helpful staff.Conciege Marcos and Judith went above and beyond expectations. There were many hiccups with getting COVID tests to return to the US. Marco, have us a map. Drew directions and have us solid choices and backup choices. He really was very helpful, and is what you would hope every stay had someone this competent.

Great room with a fantastic view, breakfast very nice, great location and very friendly staff specially Gabriel at the reception, thank you for being so helpful and welcoming. Totally recommend this hotel!

Location is really nice, quite central with good public transport option. Breakfast options are plenty considering average european hotel breakfast. Rooms have a good size but feel pretty average and a bit dated. The pool size makes it feel like "we need a rooftop pool, but we don't have enough space"; still nice to cool down. The rooftop bar has a nice view and the drinks we tried were tasty. Overall a nice place to explore Barcelona, but still feels a bit overpriced...

Perfect location in Barcelona. The rooftop terrace/bar has awesome views of the city and ocean! Everything you need close by, an awesome mall across the road, easy access to public transport and short walk to the beach. The rooms are big enough, comfortable beds and decent sized bathroom. I have had a fantastic stay in the Novotel Hotel Barcelona. Perfect location, with great metro access Rooms were spotless clean and view from the 19th floor was stunning The staff were great and very keen to help. Mauro in particular, was a fantastic help on our stay. Could not have asked for more on my first trip to Barcelona and will definitely return in the future.

Great location, clean and spacious rooms, and amazing food! Breakfast buffet offered lots of healthy options and for dinner we chose half-board to ease logistics with kids. The service was outstanding! Special thanks to our waiter Roger for accommodating special diet needs for our kids and to the chefs Adrian and Turi for preparing the excellent dishes. The staff went above and beyond. Even Santa Claus left a small gift for the kids in the room after they dropped off their letters in Santa's mailbox at the reception.

Suite is recommended for a small family of 2 adults and up-to 2 kids sharing a sofa bed. Good transport links, quiet and away from the busy main tourist areas but not far away. Good selection of quick eats nearby. Friendly staff.

A very good hotel located right next to a metro station and a large shopping mall. Comfortable rooms, delicious and with a good choice of breakfast. Non-dairy drinks and yoghurts are available. Beautiful view from the comfortable room. A very clean hotel. Nice and helpful staff at the reception. Beautiful terrace with a swimming pool and a bar on the top floor. The hotel I will return to.

Staff could not have done more for me. Robes and late check outs. Pool area was cool and bar service was great. Food was very well done. Small issue.. The damn cards had to get 3 in the end due to how quickly they stopped working. But reception fixed it very quickly but it did happen every day for 3 days.

During our stay in the Novotel Barcelona City last week I had acutely be admitted in a hospital. The staff at the reception was exceptional helping in calling in a doctor and The receptionist Gabriel was the best in taking care of my wife during my stay in the hospital. He gave my wife a free upgrade to a beautiful suite. And was informing every time he saw her how I and she was doing. Also the Scarlett group who had organized this event was instrumental for my and my wife’s support. Eli was a Starr!!! So they are a wonderful team and so kind because they want to and not that they had to!!!! Warm regards Frans Richter

Our seven days stay was not optimal. The room was old and in dire need of renovation. The ceiling literally had water stains on it. The house keeping is not very good. We would come to our room to see the bathroom not thoroughly cleaned and there was a candy cover under the chair that stayed there for three days until i removed it myself. The room keys doesn’t work well and specially by the elevator i keep take it off and put it on three or four times till it works, same thing with door keys. Their breakfast did Not taste good. Scrambled eggs were blend taste , and their chickens were bone dry, also their vegetarian options did Not taste good. There were two positive things about this hotel the first thing was the location, and the second thing were the personal at the reception, they were very nice and helpful. They did their best to make us feel welcome. Lastly i would like to say that for about 200 euros /night i expected more so definitely nit worth the stay.

Superbly designed hotel, well decorated and lightning conditions make its the most beautiful hotel. I stayed for a week here. And was astonished to cleaniness and beautiful view of this hotel. The staff are very punctual on time they come at right time in morning to clean up the entire room. More over the food was delicious. Most recommended hotel to stay.

Good location not far from metro, and easy enough to get to with one change from the airport and the main Fira conference centre. Friendly hotel restaurant with reasonably priced food, but didn't try breakfast. Very comfortable bed, tricky shower to get temperature right in room 1406, I may have worked it out if I'd stayed a third night!
