For IHG we felt a bit let down. Beds are not comfortable in our opinion. Rooms very basic and the air conditioning isn't very good. Small bar, good continental breakfast included with room rate. Prices are high for holiday inn express.. but your paying the location. Within walking distance of most things to do. 10 mins from beech

The hotel is located at a very nice area. You can walk to shops and food places very easily. There is also a laundromat near by in case you need to do laundry. If you planning with family, beware that the bathroom have a big see through glass and was very uncomfortable for us to use. Mirror is right across the glass that makes things worse. hotel is nice but doesn’t have any pools or kid stuff. Room was okay. Overall it was an okay stay at this hotel for us as we only used it to sleep and most of the day we were out exploring the area.

My family and I had an extremely unpleasant experience at this hotel. We had reserved two nights for 4 people, as we are a family with a 2-year-old baby, a 4-year-old, and a 13-year-old teenager. When we arrived at the hotel at 12:30 in the night, the receptionist named Oscar treated us in a cold and disinterested manner. Despite our situation, he showed no interest in helping us or providing a solution. Instead of offering a friendly solution so that the kids could sleep, he insisted we make another reservation for an additional room. The complete lack of interest in our comfort and well-being as guests made our stay an extremely negative experience, and we do not recommend this hotel to other travelers. As seen in the response from Holiday Inn, this is pure money grabbing.

Good hotel, good service, nice breakfast. No iron at the room 😳 and could be better decorated with more style. The view of the school roof from the room window is unique :) there are some places nearby to eat and drink. Not the center of Barcelona though

A very clean and nice hotel. We were in the heart of a very active area of Barcelona. Access to public transportation buses and train service to downtown, as well as taxi service. Easy access to the cruise port and airport. A lot of restaurants good nearby. We stayed 3 days in Barcelona and we had a great time.

We wanted to try the holiday inns in Spain so chose it for 2 nights. Breakfast included is not bad and convenient! We upgraded our room to family size, so charged another $50 per day which is pricy though we have IHG membership. Location is not within the central so taxi every day. It is a very crowded hotel with family and kids so noisy at night.

For the price, it's great. No real complaints, perhaps only that breakfasts can get a tad bit crowded but other than that it's n nice hotel. Standard rooms were nicely sized, and the location is fairly close to a nice strip of restaurants and about 350m from the subway

Nice hotel to explore Barcelona from. We liked that it is located in more of a locals neighborhood, not crowded and touristy like the areas around La Rambla and the gothic quarter. But still a lot going on, shops, restaurants, and a short walk to the Metro. A few blocks from the beach. Staff was very courteous and professional. They let us store our luggage there when we arrived at 8am before check in. The free breakfast is amazing. Good coffee, some of the best pastries we had in Spain, salad, meat and cheese along with more traditional breakfast items. It does get crowded late mornings so go early if this matters to you. Huge perk and great way to start your day.

The hotel has a great location: many places, such as the beach, restaurants, parks and stores, are within walking distance. It is a very crowded place with many customers, so do not expect personal attention. On the first day, they did not even offer a courtesy drink while waiting for the room, and that was disappointing. Personal attention could go a long way. The room was decent and clean, but the bathroom was a tad old and needed a refresh. The buffet has a lot of options but there are so many customers that it feels very industrial and it may be hard to find a seat. Overall, a decent hotel but service could be improved on.

This hotel was very uncomfortable, it was small, but there were 4 of us, 2 adults and 2 small children and that was slightly expected although, I would've preferred that they would advertise that better, it was really really small. I was there Dec 1st for 3 nights, and because it was "winter" there was no air conditioning, but there was hot enough in Barcelona, as always early in December, there was a paper attached to the thermostat that say that if you need the room cooler please open the window but it was a good location and there was too noisy, with the trash truck every night, the people coming back from the party... So no good night sleep because was or too noisy or too hot. One night, they didn't clean the room because I left one tablet and my PJ in the bed, they left a letter saying they were not allowed to move anything from the bed, so they didn't even change the towels, or make the bed, just left the letter and left. The breakfast is not worth it, it's very basic and it does not have variety. For the price that you pay you can find a better breakfast next door. The location was exactly what I needed, but there are many hotels nearby. The lobby and the hotel starts on the first floor and it was inconvenient that I have to go with the stroller to a second elevator to go to my room. I am a gold member of IHG and this is the first holiday inn that I don't recommend.

Got the room of 5th floor(family room) ! The way room was made is to have access to text room in case there is big family and can stay beside each other! For us this was a big disadvantage as we can hear the neighbours , as they was in our room, we had to woke up in the night because of the noise! Rooms was too hot and AC wasn’t managing to make it cooler! Breakfast is 5 out of 5 good varieties and tasty! Staff was speaking English and was very helpful in all our needs!

Location is good, its close to the metro and you can easy go to the center. Recepcionist are very kind. Breakfast is good and tasty. Rooms are clean and warm. We had no problem at all, i recomend it!

A moderate sized hotel room with a sofa bed and a queen size bed. The bathroom was good, but be careful with the tap because it shoots water out harder than expected. The location was great, with a walkable distance from lots of great restaurants and monuments. This is a good place to stay for vacations.

We had spent the prior week at an unfriendly local hotel & checked in here for last night in Barcelona. The welcome was warm the staff so helpful. You can depend on consistent standards and experience with this chain. No regrets.

Staff can not be trusted We left a pair of trainers in the room. We returned the same afternoon (after check out) and were told that the trainers were not found? I wrote an email to query this and 2 days later received an email to say that one trainer had been found!! What about the other one?? We continued our stay (in different accommodation) and I returned to the Holiday Inn to try to speak to someone. The lady behind reception presented me with one trainer (useful!) and I was told nothing can be done to recompense us for the trainers - which were very definitely in the room!! It was a bad experience - made worse by the fact that the hotel would not accept responsibility/ownership of the issue. As a result I would not trust the staff here - and would definitely never stay here again. I would definitely stay somewhere else and would warn against using this hotel.

The Hotel was good for an overnight stay. Room was pretty tight but was clean and the restroom was comfy. I would stay there again but only for a brief stay. Nice continental breakfast and the staff was cordial.

Normally, I wouldn’t give 5 stars to a Holiday Inn Express because it is a budget hotel. However, this property exceeded my expectations. Very friendly staff, great security, and a very nice breakfast (free) that includes eggs, cereal, cold cuts, many reads, and good coffee. Room includes kettle, refrigerator, USB outlets and safe. Nearby large market and metro.

Location is excellent. Away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist areas, but close enough by metro. Lots of restaurants nearby. Staff is friendly and helpful. The room is comfortable and very clean. The breakfast buffet has a wide variety of breads/pastries, but it can get a bit boring (this is just my preference, others may find it nice). I would stay here again for the comfort and location.

We have booked a room for 3 people. We also paid for 5 days each over 450€. When we arrived they gave us a room with one bed and a sofa bed. Three of us were supposed to share two beds. The room was so small that we could not even open our suitcases. Constantly incredibly warm and the air conditioner either didn't work or was super loud. Brim open the window were of course loud construction sites. This was one of the worst vacations of my life. My two friends and I had 5 sleepless nights. When we went to the front desk to address the issue we were told we had their largest room in the hotel. This is a lie. We do not recommend this hotel! Better run away!

the hotel is really in a great location, near the Mercadona, which is nice. the breakfast was very comprehensive and there was always enough of everything. when we wanted the room was beautifully cleaned. I definitely recommend

There are some rooms are connected with an inside door. This kind of rooms are only for families. We booked double room but they gave us one of those rooms (inside door was locked). It is super noisy. You here literally everything from the connected room. Pillows are not soft, it is hard as rock. But location is really good. Breakfast is also fine.

Service was good, upon checking in I wonder if they have pool. Receptionist said instead of a pool, we have beach! 15 minutes walking distance. Not bad for that. Nice public beach, if you have bus or metro card you can take bus. Room is very small, no space for 3 of us. Bathroom with bathtub and 1/2 glass door. Floor will be soak. It’s far from central but not too far from metro and bus stop. Many walking distance restaurants and mini mart. Room is clean, bed is comfortable. Just too small. Breakfast is included but they can do better. We stayed 3 days 2 nights, both breakfast was busy even at 7, sliced cucumbers were old and dry, some fresh fruit was over ripe.

We really enjoyed our 4-night stay. The location was perfect and very close to a metro station. The convenient and secure parking garage was important for us - right below the hotel, accessed by elevator from the hotel. Very nice buffet breakfast included. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Close to public busses and train. In a quiet area. Breakfast us included and is very generous and delicious. Personel is working very fast to acomodate seating and stock for everyone. Rooms are pretty big. We had one bed and sofa bed. Make sure you mark how many people are staying (In states i just order a room)as your room selection could be altered based on the amount of people you reserve room for. There is iron or board in the room but those are available at the reception desk.

This is a good hotel on the East side of Barcelona. It takes 10 to 20 min to get to the center of the city. The rooms were small and decently clean. Staff was kind but the check-in system (touch less) is a joke. You have to line 30 min. to get your keys, no matter how much you have done online. There were no refrigerators inside the rooms and at times I wanted ice from the only one machine for 300 rooms, either it was not having any ice or broken. So, do yourself a favor and do not book this hotel during a heatwave. Air conditioning worked just fine, not cold. The bed was ok, pillows too hard for me. Breakfast was pretty complete but in high demand (crowded). The staff was attentive but due to the limited facilities, unhelpful. There's no need to book this hotel through any trip aggregator since the staff seems to pay zero attention to messages posted to them through travel aggregators... The most effective way to communicate with them is by calling them or personally. I asked if they had a local newspaper available and I was given 4 laser printed letter pages of local news... That was really funny.

The hotel is placed at posh locality in Barcelona. The beach is just 15 mins walk. The rooms are average. The staff seems to be helpful. The property is usually running at near full occupancy. The hotel is at walking distance from metro and bus station. There is a mall at about 800 meters from hotel where one can eat out, do shopping and other fun stuff. The hotel is little away from major city attractions but one can easily reach there via metro and bus.

We had the best experience here! We had our luggage transferred from the port and when we got to the hotel, the luggage had not arrived. The glorious woman at the front desk called and quickly got to the bottom of what was going on. In ten minutes our luggage was all there! She really saved us! We could not have been happier!

Conviniently positioned near metro station and public transport, close to the beach and relatively close to the tourist city center. Modern and quite clean with good breakfast. Good value for money. Disadvantages: hospital (cold design), thin walls (thinnest ever I have ever experienced) you can hear ppl talking from next room and make every word) which is very bad early in the morning. Queues for breakfast. U have to make reservations the previous day and mention the exact time (9.15-10.00. 10.00-11.00 etc). Beds are not heavy enough they tend to move easily.All in all recommended but not great.

We spent 7 days in the hotel. The room and bathroom were clean. The room is small ( there were 3 of us) and has a small wardrobe. Although we used an extra bed ( coach) the mattress were good. They clean every day. Breakfast was very good, and service was more than good. The location is perfect, very near to the metro and Rambla de Pueblo Nou.

what a beautiful province and an awesome holiday inn hotel. love their wall decor and overall hotel theme. nice helpful staff and reasonable hotel fair. close to the markets and subway. free breakfast with the complimentary to order omelettes. walk right outside this hotel and you are in the city and its beautiful. rooms are spacious and they offer excellent amenities.loved Barcelona and this hotel.
