Where
to
begin...
Generator
Hostel
in
Barcelona
was
an
absolute
nightmare.
I
cannot
express
enough
how
much
I
regretted
my
decision
to
stay
there.
First
and
foremost,
let's
talk
about
the
exorbitant
price
of
€91
per
person
per
night.
It's
laughable
to
think
that
this
hostel
could
even
dream
of
justifying
such
a
ludicrous
price.
The
rooms
were
nothing
short
of
a
sauna.
Sweaty,
suffocating,
and
utterly
unbearable.
I've
never
experienced
such
discomfort
in
my
life.
It
felt
like
being
trapped
in
an
oven,
slowly
roasting
away
while
desperately
searching
for
a
breath
of
fresh
air.
Forget
about
a
good
night's
sleep,
because
all
you'll
get
is
a
sweaty,
sleep-deprived
nightmare.
And
let's
not
even
get
started
on
the
so-called
"common
areas."
There
was
absolutely
no
atmosphere
whatsoever.
It
was
like
walking
into
a
ghost
town,
devoid
of
any
life
or
energy.
It
felt
like
a
deserted
wasteland,
where
any
hope
of
socializing
or
meeting
fellow
travelers
went
to
die.
I
might
as
well
have
been
sitting
alone
in
my
stuffy
room,
for
all
the
joy
the
common
areas
provided.
Oh,
and
did
I
mention
the
lack
of
food
service?
Not
a
single
bite
to
eat
could
be
found
within
the
premises.
I
don't
know
about
you,
but
I
expect
at
least
some
basic
sustenance
when
staying
at
a
hostel.
It's
a
basic
necessity,
or
so
I
thought.
But
apparently,
Generator
Hostel
believes
that
their
guests
can
survive
on
air
and
dreams
alone.
Dreadful
breakfast
in
the
morning
which
you
had
no
other
choice
to
eat
because
they
wouldmt
even
let
you
bring
in
food
from
outside.
One
staff
member
seemed
as
though
they
had
mastered
the
art
of
apathy
and
indifference
when
they
spotted
us.
It
was
clear
that
they
had
no
interest
in
providing
even
the
slightest
bit
of
service
or
hospitality,
just
pure
pain.
To
sum
it
up,
Generator
Hostel
is
an
overpriced
disaster
with
rooms
that
would
make
a
sauna
feel
like
a
winter
wonderland.
The
common
areas
were
devoid
of
any
life,
(which
i
assume
was
sucked
away
by
the
staff).
Save
yourself
the
agony
and
stay
far,
far
away
from
this
wretched
place.
Edit:
prepare
to
hit
50,000
steps
a
day
because
that
elevator
is
useless
