Booked this spot through Hostelworld and stay there for a week in a private room for three. The room had a private bathroom, although you have to use the shared showers which were all very clean. It included towels and sheets. The beds were fairly comfortable and it was nice having some privacy that you don’t normally get in hostels while also the advantages of meeting people in the hostel. The receptionists were there round the clock and all very kind and helpful. They have activities in the evenings that are free for everyone staying there to join. They have some shower things that people have left there for everyone to use in case you forgot something. Also a fairly quiet hostel with quiet hours on the sleeping level after 10pm. Love our stay there!

My trip to Barcelona would have been incomplete if it weren’t for this hostel!!! The whole staff is incredible at this place- they treat you like friends and family, and they will practice Spanish with you as well. It was a great home base for making plans and chilling with other hostel mates. An awesome international environment with clean facilities and great vibes. Thank you Itaca!

This hostel was really great! Such a great location in Barcelona (in the gothic neighborhood) and close to a lot of popular sites. The hostel's atmosphere is great and Rodrigo is a fantastic staff member. He created a fun and enjoyable experience and was very friendly. If I'm back in Barcelona, I will definitely stay here again. Highly recommend this hostel for a good time!

The concept of the hostel is great! It's directly in the middle of the gothic area, has many rooms, including the game room, they always have some fun events, the service is also great. I liked it a lot. The only thing which might need an improvement was the ventilation of the room (the ventilator was a bit loud because of the vibration, which was partly heard even through ear plugs) and the access to the second floor of the bed (the ladder is too thin to go up easily - I needed a chair as a help). The service was great! I would definitely visit it again.

Fantastic location where you'll meet great people in the common room. Fantastic location right in the centre of everything. There is a good kitchen so you can cook your own food and it is very secure for securing your items. The beds are not great, however, with very thin mattresses and no air conditioning.

Friendly and helpful staff, nice guests, they give you free coffee and tea and on Thursdays sangria and you can chat with hostel mates. In the most beautiful area in Barcelona for the cheapest price you can get. I really enjoyed my stay.

Loved this hostel! Very clean (they even make your beds!!) It is in the perfect location. The only thing I did not like was that whenever the front desk staff was not there (either doing another check in or cleaning upstairs) the front door would be locked from the inside and outside so you cannot leave the hostel. That was a bit inconvenient and could be solved.

Really enjoyed my stay at this hostel. Lara and David were both very helpful and friendly, made you feel like a valued guest. Beds were very comfy, slept better here than at any other hostel I’ve been to. Only slight negative was I didn’t like the layout of the showers and there weren’t enough hooks to place your towels and fresh clothes to change into. Really fun place to stay overall and a terrific location!

Friendly staff, everything was clean and they have a wide range of recommendations for things to do around the city if you’re not that familiar with Barcelona.

If there were an option for 7 or 8 ⭐ on the location, i would give it a 9. Great stay, great people, awsome location.

The Itaca Hostel was a great place to stay and enjoy. The staff was absolutely fabulous, very friendly and accommodating with everything from free coffee, recommendations for activities and restaurants, and more, including lending me a phone charger! This was such a pleasant experience to add to our fun trip to Barcelona! I will definitely come back next time I come to visit the city!

I spent three nights in the 6-bed-mixed-dorm. All of the staff was very friendly and helped me with great restaurant recommendations. The common room upstairs is very nice to hang out and is closed after 11 pm to guarantee a good night's sleep. For more social people there are drinks downstairs almost every night.

Me and my friends had a great stay! The wifi was great, the check in was quick and easy, the location was perfect, and the stay was really comfortable. Definitely recommend it. The staff was super helpful in answer questions, giving recommendations, or just being available. All the shared facilities were clean and well maintained.

Perfecto - location, staff, room, common areas. We enjoyed our two day’s stay here. The staffs are friendly, special thanks to Mr Dixom for walk us through and helping with locations to consider during our short trip. You can cook, unlimited coffee & tea. They also have Owen in case you want to prepare a pizza or defrost. Highly recommended

Excellent location and Lara was extremely kind. Some things I wish this hostel had though: beds with curtains for more privacy, bigger luggage lockers and also more shower hooks to hang your clothes

As others have noted, it's an excellent hostel in an excellent location, with a small but well-equipped kitchen. It's small (less than 40 beds), quiet at night and not very busy during my stay in early December, so the social vibe was low-key.

Super friendly staff, clean and pleasant space at the heart of Barcelona. Atmosphere that feels like home and brings out the best in people - felt comfortable immediately. There’s always free coffee/tea in the kitchen (🤩) and they organize free activities for the residents.

I recently stayed at Itaca Barcelona Hostel and I was delighted with my experience. The wifi was of excellent quality, the check-in was swift and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is situated in an ideal location, close to the main attractions. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an enjoyable stay in Barcelona.

Great hostel with friendly staff and located in a good location. Walls are thin so, you might hear some snoring.

Went to book and it requires two nights but I was physically at the hostel and the clerk who said there’s a room available who said that I should be able to book one night had no ability to help me and the people who have the power don’t answer their phone so left me without a single place to stay.

Stayed for 5 days, clean rooms, friendly, helpful staff. All amenities in writing order. All other guests super friendly, had such a cool time in going back next month.

stayed on 18th,19th May,2022. perfect location and very good kitchen facility, clean bathroom. quiet environment. I left my valuable jacket, I realised after a day (was still in Barcelona at different hotel). when i went there, It was intact inside their storage.

Amazing experience - Itaca is located in the heart of Barcelona, which allowed us to walk to most places we wanted to visit. The staff is kind and the hostel is clean. It's a very social hostel, it's easy to spark conversation and hang out with ppl. They have small services - like the possibility of staying in some parts of the hostel on your check out day - that makes the visit smooth. Basically 2.5 days of stay with no problems at all.

This is a great place to stay when you are in Barcelona. I stayed in mix dormitory. Offers clean linen and beds are comfortable. Charges 6 euros as deposit, it's refundable. Washrooms are clean. Location is great as it's right in middle of the city center. However you get all required privacy. Offers free unlimited coffee and tea. Also you get the locker to keep your belongings safe.

For a hostel, the experience you get definitely depends on the other people you are staying with, so every experience will be different. Mine was great. The staff (Diego, Martin, and a woman from Argentina) have all been very friendly. I highly recommend taking them up on their offers of sangria night and other in house festivities. The people I stayed with were all great too. All around awesome

Perfect cozy little hostel! I’ve been to a number of hostels, but this one has been my best experience yet. Super friendly staff, unbeatable location, very clean, not crowded at all. They also do fun activities like a relaxed pub crawl and movie nights. Basic yet wholesome breakfast buffet for only 4€. All you can drink coffee and tea all day long. 10/10 would recommend!

Perfect. Located two steps from Barcelona Cathedral and 4 from Catalonia Square, this hostel has everything you need and come to expect from a hostel. Great common area. Great rooms (good comfortable beds with lockers - both lockers and beds have electricity plug ins). Great kitchen. Toilets and showers very clean and spacious. The staff very friendly and available front desk 24h. Will be here again for sure. Thanks

Very friendly and accommodating staff. Clean and well kept. A good value for the money. We stayed 3 nights and really enjoyed it. The location is perfect. Everything you could desire is a short walk away. Most within just a few blocks at most. Will definitely consider another stay next time I visit Barcelona.
