I stayed here at the end of August 2022 - beginning of September 2022 in an all female dorm. Things I liked about this place: It felt safe and very secure. The fingerprint to get in the building and into room was amazing. I also felt like the location was near where I needed to be and closed to the metro station. Several supermarkets and eating places within walking distance. The cleanliness of the hostel was top-notch. The hand soap in the room was amazing. The facilities were overall decent. They offer a pretty spacious kitchen with everything you might need to prepare food. They offer laundry, albeit very pricey (4.5 euro for wash, 4 euro for dryer). Breakfast offered a wide variety of items. Whether your budget allows for 7 euros/ breakfast (or 6 I think if you book it with the room) is up to you and you can definitely make your own breakfast in the kitchen. Lastly, the bathrooms in my en suite female dorm were spacious and excellent. Hair dryer provided and shower pressure and overall shower conditions were the best of any hostel I’ve seen. Staff was all very nice and helpful with any requests or issues. Room for improvement: The social vibe is decent. There is a pool/terrace for meeting people and a bar. However, there aren’t any organized events specific to the hostel (such as bar crawls and whatnot). So most of the people I connected with in Barcelona were from different experiences and outside bar crawls I booked. Some room specific things I didn’t like as much were that they just provided sheets rather than duvets or something. I know not every hostel provides this but since this hostel charges more and is more “boutique” I would expect it. Additionally, I did not like the layout of my particular room. The beds all didn’t have curtains and were surrounding the center of the room. This meant that when I had to access my suitcase early in the AM or come back in late at night, the chances of people waking up were higher despite attempts at being a little more discrete. With hostels you expect this to some degree but I think if the pods were lined in a different way and if there were at least curtains it would be better. Overall, recommend if you’re looking for an impeccably clean, well located, safe hostel. If you’re looking for a social hostel, or one that is more budget friendly, this wouldn’t be it.

Just check the booking.com 1 rating reviews..U will find the truth...There are numerous cases of theft,bulgury in this hostel...It's so unsafe...The hostel itself is sponsoring it... I stayed there for 4 days.. It was so traumatizing for me that all locks in dormitory including mine were broken and my bag lock was broken and my money was stolen.. When I asked the staff regarding that they can't look in the cctv camera and tell me to report to police station ..When I went to police station, It's a routine thing happening in TOC hostel and they told me that the theft is actually done only by hostel staffs and Management even knows that nothing can be done. They always target foreigners.. Since the location of the hostel is good..they will get enough constumers whatever service they provide. Kindly avoid this hostel if possible...I have posted the photos of broken locks... I lost around 10000 Indian rupees and 5000 euros... The hostel location was so good. So whatever bad service they provide, There will be still people going for it.

If you're a solo traveler and would love to meet and make new friends you can hang out with them this place is highly recommended. It's in the middle of the city. It's like 5 to 10 minutes away from every place you would want to visit 😁 It's quite clean and has a poolside where you can relax. And a very nice bar

Nice place: clean, comfortable. The location is great- you take A1 bus from the airport and it leaves you right next to the hostel! I enjoyed my 2 days stay, made new friends and hope to return one day for a longer vacation. Guys, take your own towels and padlocks if you don’t want to spend extra money as these things are not provided by the hostel, well, and book with them without any doubts. Thank you guys!

A backpackers nightmare and overpriced! I DO NOT recommend this hostel for any experienced traveler/backpacker; First of all, there were a HUGE group of school children (around 10 year old) staying at this hostel.. ?! In addition, they play loud horrible pop music in the lounge/kitchen area from early morning. Our first dorm was completely cramped without windows to fresh air. Also lacking decent/normal dorm culture (if you know you know). We asked to switch rooms.. Furthermore, it’s an extremely cooperate “hostel” with zero personality. They run it like a chain of low budget hotel (not for laid back travelers looking for good vibes). We asked if we could get a refund for the last two days, since we had to find a place where I would be able to work (without screaming kids running around). After a looong discussion, they agreed to partially refund the last day. We left either way and accepted our lose (meaning we paid 260 eur for one night, two people). Stay away…

This is a disgusting and expensive hostel that tries to sell the package of fun & luxury for travelers that wants proximity and excitement w/ lounge and pool. My experience was anything but that. I am an older woman that was placed in a room with 5 other men w/ zero warning and found out when it was too late. Just like others have shared, there is zero privacy in the rooms and good luck in trying to find a quiet or calm place to sit. When I got up and saw the state of the room, floors and hallway, I was truly grossed out. The communal bathrooms are beyond filthy and worn out. The hallways and common space is simply a circus atmosphere w/ zero oversight way past 2:30am. The open lounge area is open but the vibe is anything but friendly and everyone on their phones. The pool is just filthy and fear of catching something I cannot handle while on holiday. The staff are painfully unfriendly, indifferent at best and just hostle at worst. If you pay for food, you can sit in the open space like a human being. If not, you are relegated to the hot basement like an animal to eat your food. I hated this place so much and could not wait to leave. I am sure if you are 12-19 and loves to scream and get wasted, this place might be perfect for you. Anyone that wants to feel safe, rest and enjoy Barcelona then don't even consider this place. Just horrific! This is a reply to the "owner" or whoever that has replied to my review. I never mentioned anything about your lack of privacy w/ zero curtains. Plenty of others did in previous reviews but not mine. I love how you casually make it sound as if your staff was proactively cleaning the place, it was not what i saw because it was filthy. Your staff did not warn me my room had ALL and ONLY men and I was the only woman when i checked in. A mixed room should not mean all men and one woman. If she had warned me, I would have not checked in that night. I get that your location is good but I wished other reviewers would simply post the truth behind the pricing, in my case over USD$50, service and condition of your hostel and warn others, like me, about the "teenagers" you seem to gleefully encourage to stay there. One last note, the breakfast is NOT included in the high price of your hostel and it's another 8 euros. You have to pay that price for the luxury of sitting in the dining area. If not, they kick you out promptly and tell you to go to the basement. There was not one aspect of your hostel that I found remotely nice or useful.

A 'Jew' yellow and green place. Beautiful inside and with a swimming pool. Unfortunately they got the money but not the vibe. Really strange roomates as well from really bad backgrounds. Dark, despite the initial appearance.

My second stay, chosen because of the location, nice Staff, near restaurant and shop. Good location, good breakfast, WiFi works (not by the pool anymore), helpful staff, comfortable beds with a lamp and one socket, efficient air conditioning. The door from the room must be closed because it does not close by itself. Cleaned every morning, but with so many people it quickly gets unpleasant and dirty in some places. Tap water flows in a weak stream [after turning on only a few seconds], there is no way to dry your hands. Good water pressure in the shower, but the water itself drains poorly, cleanliness in the shower poor (visible mold), poor lighting [it was difficult for me to shave], no ventilation (showers, toilet)

Not good, they approved my payment with a card that was not mine. And then they said they refunded de money but money was never inside my account, so i paid two times. Receptionist are not good specially the one that it's at night. Also environment and sociability in this hostel is a 0 of 10, everybody is with his phone all the time and there is no one in the bar.

I paid for 6 nights in a dorm of 6 and left after 1 night. My issue was with total lack of privacy and facilities that don't allow smooth interactions. A small curtain to block light and have a little privacy would do wonders. There was only one switch for the entire room so it was either full blown lights on or darkness. There are mini lights in each bunk bed but they can't be easily accesed without intruding in a strangers space. I wanted to pay for an upgrade to a private room as the hostel was nice and share my feedback with the staff. Unfortunately the staff had a defensive attitude, so I left. Would have loved to stay but the upgrade price was very high (it was high season and last minute) and the staff was not willing to listen without a stark defense.

My 1st time in a shared room. Very impressed by the high level of a shared room's (and private rooms) hotel. Location can't be better for the price. The organisation can't be better according to the environment. Very clean and smooth processes. No rush at all in the shared facilities even hotel was full. 1 thing could be improved is to install a kind of sliding separation on each bed for more privacy. Otherwise you'll find all that you want, even educated people from all around the world to talk to.

Delightful hotel, clean and near the city center, but not quite suitable for large groups for the following reasons : 1) the breakfast room is too small, making it so turns have to be arranged by the hotel’ s management ( we had one turn starting from 10 am , which led to’ a shift in out schedule for the day ); we thus suggest , in case you are organizing a school trip, to arrange the breakfast turns well in advance. 2) in rooms with 6 to 8 bed the towels don’t get changed, and you are unable to hang them out to drink; furthermore, there are not hairdryers present 3) the hotel management did not prove to be particularly helpful , and on top of that, most members of the staff don’t speak english.

Worst customer service I have ever experienced in a hostel. They simply made every step difficult (check in, check out, even the organization of breakfast). Rough staff and totally lost to organize. Although the hostel itself has a good infrastructure, I don't recommend it to anyone because the service is terrible.

This is the best place to stay in BCN, hands down. It offers incredibly clean and well appointed accommodations and places you at the epicenter of Catalunya. We had such a wonderful time. We were there in mid December of 2021 and would sun bathe every morning on the balcony and I have never been so inspired.

Great location and facility!! This hostel was clean and new! Had great experince there!! Keep in mind that they sell some services as extras (such as: towel, safe, lock for your locker, breakfast).

We loved the facilities of this hostel. Staff member Valentina was amazing to extend our stay as we were put in a tricky situation in Barcelona. The women is amazing at her job, always willing to help and is very kind. Same goes for bar tender Diego, legend and will make your entire stay. I cannot say the same for the rest of the staff. Expect an attitude, no help and snide comments. As someone who understands english and spanish, expect comments in both languages when they think you dont speak it. They will also hurry you out.

The best hostel I stayed in, ever. Modern, clean, amazing location, close to everything. I'd just point two things. The showers is divided by man and woman but it's not very clear, so while I was changing clothes a guy went inside. And the place where we have a shower had a bit nice smell. Apart from these everyone was great!

Nice hostel in a great location but for such a modern concept their dorms come without curtains, there is no shelf at the bed to place your stuff and way too less options to hang or store your belongings. Also bathroom is the entry area of the room... doesn't make sense at all. Room concept is just 100% contraire to everything else.

Very excited about this one! Very friendly, Nice rooms, clean bathrolms and toilet. This was the first time for me in a hostel and I likes the experience! There are lockers in the room, just make sure you have your own lock. There is a nice bar to have a drink and meet new people! Love it!!

Toc Hostel is located at a prime location. The quality of rooms, linen and overall interiors are great. We had a room for 4 people with an open yet enclosed terrace outside the room which was great. Breakfast options could include eggs, which was not there at all... limited options in breakfast especially if you are not a meat-eater and want to go slow on sugar in the morning. Strongly recommend this place as it is located in the main area with lot of good restaurants, shopping options available within walking distance.

Great location, reasonable price, everything was clean and well organized. The common area was nice and had a big projector where people could gather and watch Europa league. Location is very convenient for getting to/from the airport.

Amazing hostel! Rooms, facilities, access, security, it was great! Reception should give us explanation about breakfast bands and towels during the check-in, so that we don't come back, wait and ask again for information and lose time. Breakfast was light by 10am. Only leftovers for late birds.... too bad. The housekeeping started to clean up the room while people were still there. Not so fun.

Really nice hostel. Pool table in the common area and a small swimming pool on the terrace to relax in the sun.

Great staff and service. Good location. Great features like fingerprint key and pool table. A few disappointments as follows : bar opens only at 6PM, some showers need a little fixing, some toilets auto-detect light system buggy. Now follows social features : This place is not a party hostel like other youth hostels, it is very calm and chill, it is not a problem but you better know what to expect. The area is very close to many LGBT places, not a problem neither but don't be surprised, even if it is close to "University" subway, this is not a location for spring-break student like ambiances, it is rather for city-center grade shopping.

The Experience was quite good , The hostel gave luxury and spacious vibe which is quite unique, The breakfast was quite good ig , The woman at the Reception in the morning was very friendly and Kind, but they guy that checked me In was kinda dry but that isnt a big deal. The location is Amazing so is the Room and cleanliness, The fact that i couldnt visit the Pool because it was closed but it wasnt sunny anyways.

The best and most innovative hostel I have ever been to. The commons are great. The breakfast for 6EUR is an excellent value for money. The rooms are very modern and well-organized. The location is super central. THE place to stay in Barcelona.

+ : nice, clean, pool, safe - : u can't have ur drink in the lounge, and same for the terrasse, after midnight u can't stay in the lounge area, it has a family vibe not an hostel vibe, they refuse to change ur towel, u have to pay again the rent for another, they charge 10e deposit for the sheets (people steal sheets?), no curtains in dormitory and upper lockers r very difficult to reach.

Very cool hostel, with an amazing bar where people can play pool, enjoy a nice drink and chill on their sofas. The place is massive and they do sushi all you can eat events every 15 days on Saturdays. Definitely worth a try.

I enjoyed staying here! It’s pretty close to everything! The room itself was big, clean and the interior was cute. As a solo female traveler this hostel was a dream!

Service was very warm and accommodating, private rooms were comfortable with a good view. The in house bar was very convenient and paired nicely with the pool table. Outdoor pool was a bit small, but I imagine it would work well enough during the warmer months. This is a comfortable 4 out of 5.

I’m thankful to TOC hostel&suites for this great experience! Living there was comfortable, cozy and pleasant) I made a reservation in a 8-bed female room with shared bathroom, but i was living with 3-4 neighbors and bathroom was in room in fact :) Tasty breakfast, fresh linen and towels, friendly staff. But, there aren’t curtains on bed, sometimes it was annoying, and it’ll be good to write in the information card that guests should book time for breakfast because of limited seats and quarantine measures (even your room rate includes breakfast paid in advance). Anyway I highly recommend this accommodation!

Excellent location, beautifully designed reception and bar area. The 8 person room is too small, my bed was next to the door it was very noisy, the bathrooms were untidy with lots of empty containers left around and no mats so the floor is wet and unhygienic. Although Modern it wasn't as nice as I thought.

One of the finest hostels iv stayed at. I stayed in TOC Madrid & Barcelona, and both were so clean, good location, nice staff and beautiful.

Location is excellent where everything is close by. Buffet for breakfast is amazing which I highly recommend to include in your reservation instead of eating out which can get a bit pricey. People staying here all good with no worries of theft as there is a capable guardsman on stand-by 24/7. The bar and the swimming pool area is a very nice perk to cool off during the blazing Summer season. The cleaning staff are superb with the kitchen and bathrooms being kept sparkling clean regularly. The receptionists have a good grasp of English so there is no hassle of miscommunication. Most of all, they are kind, friendly and always ready to make your trip as comfortable as possible: even getting out of their way to help getting my phone which I had left in the taxi. There is absolutely no reason as to why you shouldn’t choose this hostel while you are in Barcelona. I commend your top-notch quality of service.

Overall very good experience! Location was excellent, room was clean, bed was comfortable, although a curtain would’ve been nice. Showers were good and clean, but sometimes it would smell and the toilet lights kept turning off because of motion, which was weird, a regular one would’ve been better. Breakfast was good with great variety. Common area was also very nice. Reception was very helpful and friendly! Just the bar keep wouldn’t let us fill our water bottle in the machine after breakfast was over, which I thought was petty, but aside from that I really enjoyed my stay here

One of the best hostels I’ve stayed in. The location is great as you can get to many touristic sights on foot and also the bus stop and the metro are very close. The staff is super friendly, there is a great and modern area to chill and have some food or drinks. The rooms and bathrooms are sparkling clean and you have a huge locker to leave your stuff in (just bring your lock so as not to buy it). And instead of a key you use your fingerprint to open the doors. I’ll definitely stay here again!!!

This was the first hostel I stayed in. It was an amazing environment to be in. The hostel provides perfect places to socialize and meet new people with the pool, terrace, and bar. I would stay here again and would recommend this hostel to people who want to meet people from across the globe. I stayed in a 8 person room and the beds were as expected. Great location as well. My one wish is that they provide curtains on the bunks.

Really nice hostel, with a big lounge area. The pool was nice but really small and shallow so can’t really swim in it. The staff were nice apart from one guy who gave out to my for walking to the swimming pool with no top on. Beds were okay, could do with a curtain. Also a bit expensive for a hostel, I paid over €50 per night. Would give 3.5 stars

My least favourite hostel in Barcelona..and I've tried quite few. You can find cheaper hostels, with better facilities and more friendly staff..! The biggest advantage is the pool..but its quite small and full of jumping people in it anyway... Anytime I was asking at the reception, I had a feeling staff doesn't care and I need to resolve it on my own.. I have no reason to come back if there are far better hostels in Barcelona..

Me and my friends all really enjoyed our stay here, good central location so lots of places in walking distance and easy access to the metro too. The hostel itself was clean and tidy and they have a DJ on Friday and Saturday night. The only downside is the pool wasn't open which was really dissapointing but I think it's broken at the moment

Location is good, not very good but ok. BUT you can't hear music, you can't drink alcohol, so you can't be young. Sorry but i don't recommend it. The hostel could be nice but they messed up. It's not a hostel, it is a hotel. Sad... that they use this name "hostel" to generate more young customers... ... now it's choice
