Do not stay here, this is the worst place to stay. AC vent was full of dirt, shower was broken, the phone never worked and the room was full of smoking smell, even though they claimed that all the rooms are non-smoking which is a lie. The front lady and manager did nothing to change the room upon request and did not show any concern at all. So don't fall for pictures and fake reviews and go somewhere else.

Absolute Tourist trap. The rooms are tiny, poorly appointed and the service is close to non existent. For 2 our of 3 nights the room was not made up despite my personal request at 9am at the front desk on the second day we returned mid-afternoon only to see that the room was yet again not made up. Instead of an apology we were told by the front desk that this was OUR mistake. This place costs a lot and has a good location. There are plenty of choices in this part of town and I would certainly not return, not even if the stay was for free.

    1. Location is very good. 2. We regretted booking this hotel the minute we walked into the room. Big mistake not reading google review and trusting booking.com 4. Room is small and very basic and don't even expect a tea/coffee set. 5. Advise would be to avoid this place if possible, you can find similar place for cheaper or much better room for same price.

I don’t recommend this hotel. Reception desk staff is lying. After the booking they sent me the message confirming baby bed availability. After arrival, they said that they don’t have baby bed for me for the first night. Today is a second night. I don’t have baby bed in my room. Reception desk employee says that they didn’t promise baby bed. We have only 140cm wide bed in our room to sleep two adults with a baby. If you like lying staff, this is the place for you.

This review is for the restaurant not the Hotel The restaurant is a completely tourist trap, We were invited by their staff to eat dinner at their place when we were walking beside them, it was 11:15pm and we decided to stay, as soon as we sited they started to take the empty tables and chairs away and getting ready to close, at the time they brought the food we were sited in the middle of the boulevard with nothing around us, the food was mediocre, the sangria as well, they did not told us the price of the drinks until they brought the bill unrequested while we were eating, basically saying “you need to leave”. After we finished the food at 11:45 , another waiter came to us and asked us to pour our drinks in a plastic glass and leave because they are closed. Overall awful experience I would not recommend it to anyone, bad service bad food and too pricey

What was great: free dispenser of cold water with which you could fill a bottle in the lobby and on the floor. In the room refrigerator with a free surprise - bottles of drinks. In addition, a bottle of water specially for filling from the dispenser. Welcome candy. And further during the stay already found us a gift of oil and vermut. It's very nice when during your stay already in the room you get further - even if only small - bonuses. As for the rest: The rooms are clean. The air conditioner works. The hotel is located on the main street (Rambla), but when you close the window it is really quiet - you can sleep without a problem. Towels new every day. Beautiful atmospheric lobby. Very close to the metro and the main tourist market. To the sea 25 minutes walk but by metro you can also embrace. The only thing that was wrong - but this is really a nuance - is how the bed was sheeted: you had to really struggle to get out the next layers put on the sides (to be able to cover yourself). After all 5/5!

Friendly service, great view of busy street from room xx3. Nice shower pressure, however we did have an issue with a slow sink drain which did not get fixed during our stay. Enjoyed the breakfast. Would recommend this hotel and the location.

Nice style, especially at the lobby. The rooms differ in amendments. Our room had no facilities for cool or hot drinks and that can be a problem when the weather gets warm. The 3 bed room is very tight. The beds are comfortable and clean. The area is not very quiet at night, but that is the price for staying at la Rambla. The worst part is breakfast. Coffees and hot beverages from automatic machines. Very few options of juices, fresh fruit and vegetables. Croissants and backery not bad, but, overall, you can have a much better breakfast somewhere around.

The front desk staff is 5 stars all the way. The room was smaller than anticipated, the shower was so small and I’m a small person- the 1/3 glass partition makes it impossible to not get the bathroom floor very wet. Housekeeping entered room with a do not disturb sign up one day. Use extreme CAUTION with water temperature- scalded my head when I bumped the water faucet one day. Also we mistook the breakfast buffet for included - it is NOT worth 15 euros per person but is convenient. Much more entertaining to find a pastry & coffee out for considerably less. Great location to the Metro, the Marina and so much more. Beds were comfortable. All this said, the price without breakfast was decent and we might consider a future stay - just knowing what to expect. Don’t travel to EU expecting US standards. Lobby was pretty. Rooms too small to go to relax unless for a nap or sleeping.

Excellent hotel in the heart of Barcelona. Gorgeous lobby with huge, clean rooms and comfy beds. We stumbled upon this place last-minute after our booked accommodation elsewhere fell though. The receptionist who checked us in was so lovely and accommodating and the room was reasonably priced for the area too!

Good location in the heart of the action is its best asset. The hotel is old with a beautiful lobby. The rooms are small and most without a refrigerator. Very noisy. The rooms facing the street with small balconies probably as expected but the inner ones are noisy too with thin walls allowing even regular conversations being heard all night. Beds are firm. Good hot water. Staff is friendly Breakfast is good but no disabled entrance available to the dining room Breakdown of the heating and cooling system are common We tried in our stay 4 different rooms and they all had problems. I believe better alternatives are present for a similar price

Very central location, plenty of shops within walking distance as well as the metro station about 10 mins away, room was lovely, just what we needed, had a cute little balcony too, I ordered room service and it was so good, hotel lobby was very pretty and I thought it was super fancy for what was a 3 star hotel, would book again

Location was very good. BUT everything else was really not worth the price. The toilet was very moldy air, not ventilated at all. The toilet door broken in a few places. The walls very dirty. The irony was that the unwelcoming hotel staf demanded 50€ extra deposit for the (already) half broken room. No fridge (mini bar) in the room. At the check in I had to wait for over 30 min and I had a little baby with me. It wasn't even busy. All in all not a welcoming hotel and I dont recomend it.

Stayed here for 4nights. Room big and spacious.Antique furniture which we liked. Clean towels and beds made daily. Only downside was no kettle had to ask for one so we could have a drink whilst in our room. Lots of noise from outside and guests in next room. Staff very attentive and helpful. Need to watch your handbag whilst out of the hotel.

This hotel's prime location offers easy access to all parts of the city, making it a perfect base for exploration. While our room was cozy and compact, it was impeccably clean, and the practicality of the entire establishment, from check-in to attentive staff, ensured a hassle-free stay. Overall, it's a great choice for those seeking convenience and comfort in the heart of the city.

One of the best hotels we have stayed in - excellent! Beautiful entrance, peaceful and calming after hustle and bustle of La Ramba. Fantastic location. Breakfast was excellent too. Would recommend 100%.

I recently stayed at a hotel Orient Atiram that left me quite disappointed with my experience. The rooms fell short of the expectations set by the photos displayed online – they appeared spacious and modern, yet in reality, they were quite dated and lacking in proper maintenance. One of the most frustrating aspects was the window in our room, which did not seal shut properly. This resulted in a constant barrage of noise from the road outside, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep or even relax during the day. To make matters worse, the hotel staff offered us an upgrade when booking but when we arrived we were shocked to find that it was not actually the upgraded room as promised. This lack of follow-through on their part was truly disappointing and left us feeling misled. Additionally, the state of the shower was another letdown. The bathroom fixtures were visibly old, and the shower area was plagued with mold and so small I could not even bend down in the shower, the overall experience far from pleasant and hygienic. All in all, my stay at this hotel was marred by these shortcomings. It's unfortunate that the actual experience didn't align with the expectations they had set. I hope the management takes these issues seriously and makes the necessary improvements to provide a better and more accurate experience for future guests.

    - Rooms and amenities were 2 star grade masquerading as “minimalist” aesthetic. - Concierge staff, particularly the man with a British accent, was curt and not particularly helpful in multiple scenarios. - Location wise, right in the heart of bustling, historic, tourist dense Gothic Quarter, that can get loud at night; would not recommend if looking for peaceful time. - Mainly booked for convenient central location with tons of nearby food/drink/entertainment/transportation.

My room was clean, very plain with only a desk with a large tv on it so nowhere to put stuff, no luggage stands or fridge as I had a child with me, all luggage and bags on the floor. The walls are thin so you can hear your neighbours talking and other things so no really sleep. Location is the best thing about the hotel.

Ideal location, staff very friendly. Had booked a disabled room but it had an electrical fault. My disabled daughter was given another room but it was very awkward for her. We were unable to eat in the breakfast room as there were steps, we were put in a back function room with storage.

Nice hotel, friendly staff, the room was clean, maids came in daily to make bed and clean. Breakfast was ok could do with more variety of hot food. The location is great too

Only thing I could fault was why put a kettle in the room but no tea and coffee facilities. Would have been prepared to pay for them, but only premier rooms got them, so why the kettle? Other than that fabulous.

We are very happy with our choice because hotel is excellent. Hotel building is very authentic from outside, reception as well. Our room was excellent located - to the quite side. So, room was very simple not matched with nice reception style. no complain about cleanness. What we have missed are glasses. Staff in reception very helpful and nice, especially Ieva. She helped us with advices how to get into places, recommended places where to eat. Highly recommend!

Old hotel with small rooms but with all the necessary conveniences Nice large lobby entrance Location is excellent on the Rambla. The rooms facing the Rambla are too noisy to sleep well although the balconies are great for watching the action below Excellent breakfast Service overall is very good No parking. There is a restaurant service but I did not try it

The location was the best thing about this hotel. Located right on the Ramblas and close proximity to many of the sights I visited. That's about all the positives I can say. It rained the first 2 days we stayed at the hotel and our room smelled of mold. The breakfast was one of the saddest spreads I've seen on any vacation. It was included in our package but we chose to have breakfast elsewhere. I asked for an iron and ironing board and was informed that they do not provide them but they provided a paid ironing service on premises.

Beautiful stylish lobby and entrance. Rooms are less impressive. I wouldn't recommend the breakfast as there are mostly sweets, just few vegetables to choose. Great location just few meters walk from the metro station.

This hotel is deceiving. The outside and the lobby are beautiful. The rooms on the other hand—are not great. The bed is extremely hard, the shower went from hot to cold, pressure to no pressure, the hair dryer stopped working, and there were screaming people in the hallways at 4am. There are way better places to stay in the surrounding areas for the same price. Do your research.

Old hotel, fantastic location. The rooms are small, you can feel the humidity in the closet. We left things in the suitcase because the furniture stinks. The beds are very comfortable. The breakfast is solid. The shortcomings are compensated by the excellent location.

Very clean room, and the location was amazing. The staff were super helpful and recommended some great places to check out. Also gave us a little history on the hotel. The lobby is distressed chic and has a great vibe, such a great spot. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Will definitely be coming back to stay.

Booked a Deluxe Ramblas room. It was not very deluxe. Small.... with 2 single beds pushed together to make a queen size. Air-conditioning was horrible and the room was stuffy the entire 5 nights. Housekeeping consistently removed the key in the switch that controlled all power in tge room. so you could not leave the room and expect anything to charge....or the refrigerator to remain cold. Breakfast was great! Probably would not stay there again. Would look for a more modern hotel.

Everything was wonderful EXCEPT for the heating. It was TOO HOT. Air con not switched on till May and not able to adjust heating in individual rooms till then!!!! Not possible to sleep. Couldn't open windows As our room looked out on La ramblas so very noisy all night

Probably one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve ever had. It started at check-in where we had specifically called to make sure that they assigned us a room with one bed but when checking in they gave us one with two. We went back down and they gave us another room still with two beds and finally found a room with one bed which was a downgrade from what we had booked…fine, no problem… The room was at the end of the hotel, with no view and a terrible bathroom where you couldn’t even fit two people. And they forgot to tell us they didn’t have an iron in the room and was told when we asked that we had to bring our items downstairs only early in the morning for pressing. Something that should have been mentioned to us before! The worst part of this, is that I had forgotten a dress for a wedding, that was custom made, I had hung in the wardrobe along with a jean jacket and a white shirt (the only things I hung out). After an hour and a half of check out I had contacted the hotel to let them know of those items and they said to call back later. After we touched down and left the airport I called again and they said that it’s Sunday and perhaps no one had logged in anything as it’s usually a “lazy day” and said to call back the next day. I did so and I was told that none of the items I spoke of were found. I was livid and wrote an email to ask the hotel to investigate. And after many back and forth emails (and phone calls that were never replied to) the hotel, or whoever I was dealing with on the other end of those emails, said that the only person that entered the room was housekeeping and on the camera footage they were the only ones that went in to the room and apparently didn’t find anything… All of this to say that they even went as far to say that I probably didn’t forget anything and that I was mistaken….they were unprofessional and dismissed everything…. I would not recommend anyone to go there, especially as it is not safe to keep anything there! I have now lost all of my things and was basically told that I was lying about having forgotten anything in the wardrobe to begin with

I have seen many negative reviews of this fine colonial era hotel. Yes, modern facilities have had to be retro fitted, however the spacious room and super-kingsize bed were a treat. Friendly staff, even managed to check in an hour early, what's not to like? And contrary to many reviews, there is absolutely nothing wrong with the aircon. Sound proofing also commendable.

Great location! Would recommend based on that! In general quite a good hotel- only missed an iron in the room. Would not recommend their breakfast though - very poor choice and quality is low.

Do not stay at this place! Rooms were a nightmare, showers are unusable. And the soap dispensers are "locked" lol. The sink soap dispenser did not work. Many many better places around for this price.

very beautiful hotel, especially the building itself! consider that the location can be noisy depending on where your room is. a lot of choices of breakfast and nice bar as well! 🥐 🥣 🍷
