The rooms are nice and clean. Like most hotels, there’s a little desk and a place to hang your shirts. The only things I missed were a simple water cooker & coffee maker and (since it’s so close to the beach) maybe some extra options to dry a towel in the room. But those really aren’t dealbreakers for me. I stayed here for a few days in March and then 14 days in August. The hotel sits in the middle of a great neighborhood and is surrounded by plenty of restaurants, supermarkets etc. It’s a ten minute walk from the beach and about five minutes to the metro stop Llacuna. The staff is friendly and helpful and there is always someone at the front desk. Will come back here again.

very clean apartments. Good staff. Breakfast for 4 points. The location is super! To the sea 10-15 minutes, to the center 15-25 minutes. Everything is close. The rooms are very basic and there is no hair dryer. Only soap. There is air conditioning in the room. Very satisfied. Super option for overnight stay

No toothbrushes?! However, no teeth are really required for Scrambled egg soup at breakfast. 10mins walk from a hundred places with miles better service. I hated it. Hostel experience for hotel price. Screw capitalism, could have slept on the beach tbh

Service was great, can't complain. Easy check in process, daily room cleaning was good and friendly staff. The room is basic, but if you read the room descriptions you know you aren't getting an extensive range of facilities. Basic room with a small dresser desk, mirror and some hangers. Bathroom was fine too (sink, shower and toilet + small and large towel). AC worked well.

The location is great! Right in poublenou but not on the busy street. The staff was friendly and helped me rebook without charging extra. The breakfast is designed for English people and rather small I'd say. Beans, eggs, sausages and some yoghurt. The room is simple and my drain didn't work all the well and I found some black hair on the door and the towel. But the staff was really nice and helpful. And as someone else noted it, the hallways are a bit smelly :)

nice hotel, with friendly staff, rooms are clean and tidy. The only complaint is that there is no mobile shower, the static one is too impractical. and also, the rooms were a bit cold, , because according to government law, the temperature in the rooms must not exceed 22 degrees....

5 stars considering the price. Has everything you need, nice, clean room with bathroom. Breakfast is great, all you can eat buffet, well worth the price considering what you get for the same amount in local bars. Would definitely recommend and will be back for sure.

Great place to stay in Barcelona. It’s near Metro station in a nice district. The room was very clean, there was everything we needed. Also the staff is friendly and helpful. I love Travelodge hotels for standard design, so you always know what to expect.

Basic but cheap so overall good value for money. The only major downside was the lifts. Two very small lifts that were used by all patrons and the cleaners. Given the hotel has 9 floors it was regularly full well before it got to floor 9 (it seemed people were pressing up and down buttons then riding it up then back down). Really annoying given there were no stairs to walk down. I had to start factoring in 15 minutes to get from breakfast back to my room and then leaving the hotel after being late for meetings the first couple of days. The breakfast is good value for money and the staff were friendly enough. Location wise it's a short walk to the beach and about 20 minutes to the Gothic quarter and 30 to the conference centre

The staff are absolutely wonderful, they are helpful, accommodating, and very friendly. The rooms are a nice size and clean. Ignore the comments about the corridor size, they are fine and the doors at the end block any noise from the elevators. The windows offer good sound protection, I can't hear any outside noise. There is no mini bar but the staff were very accommodating with my medication that needs refrigeration. The breakfast is very good and vending machines well stocked. And the location is perfect, close to the metro and the beach. I'll be staying here again in the future.

Rooms were quite cheap quality, but I think you get what you pay for as it's the cheapest cost in the area. But bathroom, I couldn't shut the door fully and the shower was a bit fiddly. The aircon was good at least, and the bed was passable, although the double was just two singles pushed together which left a gap in the middle. Location is great, about a 5 minute walk to the metro which gets you everywhere. And there are nice cafes round the corner for breakfast, 10 minute walk to the beach one way and 10 minutes to shopping centre the other way. Staff are friendly and were helpful with any issues, most speak good English although not all.

Value and service have gone down! I stayed here two years ago because it was close to the beach. So i decided to stay again. The quality has gone down. I know it’s not a five star hotel but some basic things are just not there. I dont normally write reviews so writing this is an extra effort for me but I want to do so because i had a bad experience 1: The floor and the room smelled like dog urine. Even if it was cleaned the next day, it still smelled like dog urine. Even if i opened the windows. 2. Hot water for shower not working at all. Aside from the fact that you dont know if the tap water is drinkable. 3. There is an airconditioning unit. Which worked the last time i was there. Now, the unit is just a heater. In a hot 25-28 degree weather it’s a bit difficult esp if the window doesnt open properly due to security/safety issues. In addition the room lacked the basic things like a floor towel, etc. yes i dont expect a four star hotel/amenities but the cleaner never bothered to replenish. You also have to pay extra for wifi, and for water. 4. Breakfast attendant also very rude. Even just on asking the room number. 5. Worst of all, the reception staff. They are either rude, not attentive or not able to help. I asked for late check out and the first thing they say is an extra charge. Which is fine by me. When I was checking out, i asked help from the male hotel manager on directions to the main train station - so i can tell my Uber driver. I didnt want to take the tube to the train station as I had some things to carry. But the male manager was rude and kept on insisting that i take the train instead of uber. I appreciate they must know the local ways but the way it was explained back was rude and patronizing. I used to enjoy this hotel when i went two years ago before covid. But their service and the quality has just gone down. I very rarely post reviews - as I couldn’t bother. But this was just too disappointing. Considering i paid 180 euros for one night here (as it was easter), that js not worth at all. You’re better off in another hotel in Poblenou.

Room is spacious enough and warm, we didn't need to turn on the heating whole stay, it was even to hot, so we kept window open often. That was in the middle of December. Shower is without removable head and hose, hence it's not so comfortable to use. Bed mattress isn't very good for two, as if other turns over you feel that as jumping in the bed and it always wakes you up. Walls aren't soundproof, so if the neighbors door is closed automatically you can feel that as shaking bed. Parking is advertised as 15€ per night, but they don't post anywhere that's it's the price if you don't move the car. If you move it even once during your whole stay the pricing switches to usual public pricing of 3€ per hour. Keep that in mind. Thankfully the receptionist was good and friendly enough and made our parking card to work with unlimited enter/exit with same 15€ per night. However we had to pay in advance for all nights, but instead of 75€ for 5 nights I've paid 94.30€. Receptionist told me it's a tax, but I couldn't find such info on the invoice. Also keep in mind they don't provide kettle, so you don't have any tea or coffee in your room.

Worst hotel I've ever stayed at. Ac didn't work. It must've been 35 degrees both night and day. The hallway was also 35 degrees and smelled from sweat. The cleaners cleaned in this heat and it smelled like a soccer shoe. Construction work outside the window from 8-22 so forget opening the window. Breakfast not included. Didn't taste so good anyway. Absolutely outrageous cost to live here. 300 euro per night. That's luxury hotel prices. Don't stay here book somewhere else.

Perfect location for a great summer holiday. Very friendly staff. Cleaning every day. They are offering many things, such as towels for shower, for hands, soap and you can ask for a kettle on the front desk. We followed one of the reviews and chose the top floor and it was nice. Happy to be your 3000th reviewer. Wish you all the best! See you later.

Clean, but so basic they don't have complimentary shampoo, a hair dryer or even extra blankets. Overpriced at 101e a night! Reception staff looked bored. Breakfast was good but that was an extra 9e

The staff are unwelcoming and the management unethical. This hotel charged my credit card 3 times (a total of over 600 euros) for one night in the space of a week. When I contacted them, they ignored their fault and told me they had nothing to reproach themselves for (even though I had provided them with my bank statement with all the transactions). On arrival, they told me there was nothing they could do. I had to contact booking (which turned out to be ineffective), threaten them and then appeal to my bank to get them to admit their mistake. It took 10 days and several dozen emails for them to acknowledge that they had overcharged me by more than 400 euros. I'm still waiting for the refund on my account. They made no commercial gesture and they are very shameless. SHOCKING. RUN AWAY.

Very well located! Was right next to the beach and close to multiple restaurants! The staff was super friendly and spoke really good English. Room is barebone but clean!

Consistent. I've stayed here many times. I like the neighborhood. It's a modern hotel. Someone is always at the front desk. The rooms are plain but big. Plenty of room to unpack. Large bed. Bathroom with a real shower. Beer, water, coffee available in the lobby. Large choice for breakfast. Local workers come in for coffee early morning 5 a.m. because no where else is open

This hotel is you can even call it that was awful. The staff was inconsiderate and blatantly unfriendly which made for a bad experience. The room looked more like a jail with no shelves or storage, just blank walls with a tiny tv and terrible unclean beds. Would never come back to this appalling place.

So many things that I didn't like about this hotel 1. Pathetic spring beds, they were highly uncomfortable. 2. The room was decent, but the bed was really small even for 2 people. 3. They say that early check-in and check-out is possible, but I didn't see them making an effort for the same. I reached the hotel at 10am and I requested for early check-in. Even though a lot of people checked out in front of me, they didn't give me early check-in. 4. The bathroom shower is very bad. 5. Highly overpriced and no facilities

3.5 - overall good stay for a few nights if comfortable with walking long distances. Pros: -clean rooms - great breakfast Cons: - No free wifi other than in the lobby - no shampoo etc in bathrooms - is a bit far to walk - the beach is closeish at around 15 minutes but other tourist parts of Barcelona around 20-30 minutes to walk to. Seems ok but after walking around all day exploring is a long walk back.

I was on business. Less than basic, in the room you do not get nothing even the basic drier. Looks like they're doing you a favor me people are supposed to serve you. Avoid it even you need a basic, no frills, hotel.

+ Good location. Near the beach. Cozy street with restaurants very close. + Good bed. Also the room has a workplace. + Polite staff. + Very nice lobby. + Having breakfast opportunity. + Daily cleaning. - The room has no hairdryer, no blanket, no kettle. You may ask for them at reception, but it's very strange imho. - It's so humid in the room. It's impossible to make clothes dry. - No safebox. - Building process in front of your window, so it's very loudly since like 8am.

Nothing compared to a Travelodge in USA. Service was great. Location was fantastic! They had a bar and breakfast. Vending machines and parking as well. Great views too.

  • 2/5 MarininAndrey 6 months ago on Google
The location of the hotel is perfect for beach-and-sea rest but it is pretty far away from all sightseenigs. The service is ok and friendly. The breakfast is perfect. However, the room was very poor. The conditioner doesn't work, they fix it in a day. The conditioner itself was full of dust I am allergic to. The window opener was broken. The view was ruined by the construction scaffolders.

We would like to thank to Dear Cruz so much for helping us. She is so helpful to make us happy. The hotel is also perfect and it is close to city centre and public transportation. Will come again for sure :)

Very basic rooms. You have to leave 10euro deposit for each item that you request. Parking isn’t great. First come first served, however each time you leave the hotel, you have to pay again, it’s not 15€ as stated

The affordable price and excellent location of this hotel made my Barcelona visit a budget-friendly success. Convenient access to all the city's sites. Highly recommended for budget travelers.

Let's start from the service. I won't blame all as in the morning I had an amazing service but i had a check-in at 1am the receptionist was not polite at all + pretending not listen my question. Basically, here is your key see you bye. The beds are terrible they move and make sound every movement you do. Also, the dinner was included but it is not true as to be able to eat needs a minimum amount of people. Conclusion, not recommended!

Me and my friends really enjoyed the stay in the hotel. We didn’t expect much for this price and we got clean room and really good service, especially from Bernany who was very professional, nice and helpful. Location of the hotel also really good, I would definitely recommend it to anybody visiting Barcelona.

If you’re looking for a nice and clean place just to sleep while touristing in BCN, this is the place to be. Found a very good deal on booking.com and stayed there for 2 nights. Excellent location, only 5min from metro, walking distance to the beach and you’ll find a range of restaurants just around the corner. The hotel bar stays open until 00:30.

First , don't forget, we talk about a low budget Hotel ! Very friendly Staff. Breakfirst is fine, but bacon and eggs are the whost. The egg like pudding and for the bacon i can'd find words. Rooms okay for this price. Nice and clean !!! Only for info : soft beds , no hairdryer, no coffee on room. But a dryer have the reception for you, coffee are in the lobby . Not soo fine, but only just not nice to look at. The floor in some rooms broken. My room floor is worn. bathroom has black joints

Handy for one night. Loods of young people, so there is a chance you will not get your sleep. But costumer service is good, they will probably give you another room.

I booked this hotel As I stayed in a awful one last time I visited Barcelona 2 years ago. Stayed 3 nights very close to the beach, metro station & a bus stop nearby. I booked direct so I got Wi-Fi in the room which was super fast, at no extra cost. requested a kettle at the time of booking only got one the next day only because I asked for it on arrival for my breakfast porridge, wasn’t paying €10 for breakfast. No cup or tea/coffee provided what was I supposed to do with just a kettle, tiny small bed which was comfortable good size room, staff not overly friendly kept on shouting put mask on. Coved restrictions a bit OTT. My bed was made up 3 times on my second day which is completely pointless the poor cleaners, no need for it. Very basic room bathroom wall stuck handwash & shower gel TV with a few boring Spanish channels. Barcelona is very expensive Also paid extra €5 at checkin.

  • 5/5 Annabelle H. 1 year ago on Google
Great location access to two metro stations so easy to get around the city! Tons of bars and restaurants in walking distance so plenty of night life! Basic clean room! Breakfast was OK wasn't the best but was included in overall cost. No hairdryers in the room and could only rent one using cash! This was an issue as I only had a bank card and they wouldn't take a deposit from that. You'd think when we paid over £500 and money for city tax etc they'd trust you with a cheap hairdryer for a few hours! I offered £10 in UK money as that's the only cash I had and they wouldn't accept it! Don't see the issue if it's refundable anyway. Other than that overall OK place to stay and walking distance to the beach

  • 5/5 jwg1997 1 year ago on Google
Nice simple double room nothing to special but just what you need. 10 minute walk from the beach. Loads of food places about and staff at front desk where friendly and also managed to book in early would recommend and will definitely come again

  • 4/5 Nadine P. 1 year ago on Google
The price is reasonable and therefore, the hotel was perfectly fine, although the hot water didn't work from time to time. Breakfast was good except for the coffee, but the hotel is very easily accessible by metro and in walking distance to a beautiful beach!

  • 5/5 GABRIEL A. 10 months ago on Google
The service is amazing!!! The Ladies at the Reception are super professional, polite and helpful. The hotel comparing to price and location is totally fair. Simple, cozy and smells really good. 😊

  • 4/5 e k. 1 year ago on Google
Good basic hotel. Clean rooms, ac works great and four blocks away from the beach. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel and a taxis stand across the street. I didn’t have their breakfast. There are loads of restaurants near by that offer breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is no kettle/coffee machine, safe or mini refrigerator in the room.

  • 1/5 Cristina T. 1 year ago on Google
Negative: Room didn't have a cupboard, mattress seemed to be mouldy, the room smelled as mould. Too much humidity. Positive: Room cleaned daily + towels changed, friendly receptionists. Good breakfast. Good location for the beach close to shops, restaurants and main attractions.

  • 3/5 GARETH S. 1 year ago on Google
The hotel is a Travelodge so my expectations were limited and rightly so. No fridge no tea or coffee making facilities (the office booked it not me) ! There are building works, I think they are extending, or a neighbour is but noisy if you overlook the site like I did ! Long waits for the lift (elevators) at some times of the day as there are only 2 and the cleaning staff have to use them also. Staff are great and especially Christian on reception and Rosa on the bar. Public transport in Barcelona is excellent with incredible coverage to all areas, very reliable and reasonably priced.

  • 2/5 Priti V. 1 year ago on Google
The staff is very good and help but we literally started to have suffocation in the room. They have AC but I am not sure if it works properly. And we were suffocating because the window of the room was closed and sealed. So we had sweat all night and suffocation. But the staff is very good and helpful. May be this problem could have been solved if we would have asked the staff, however we had to stay for 1 night only, so we chose not to bother them. They also provide locker facility and its a good alternative for hostel. Just be careful if you plan to stay for longer here.

  • 3/5 Kristopher K. 1 year ago on Google
The service at check in was fantastic. Martin was very helpful and kind. A pleasure to talk to. The facility was no frills. The rooms were very basic. I think the only things that weren't nailed down were the beds, hangers and a chair. They did include towels. The hotel seemed to be full of children, which was a bit chaotic. They do not offer free WiFi in the rooms, only in the lobby. The breakfast buffet was simple but decent. The location was not great but ok. There wasn't much in the area at night. But we could walk to the beach within 15 minutes.

I loved this accommodation so much! For the price and the location it’s such a steal, i advise every student/ people who want to travel on a budget to go to this place. The front desk was so helpful and always friendly with all the questions we had! We got a room on the 3rd floor and it was clean when we arrived and then cleaning lady definitely kept it tight and good every single day. It’s only a 6 min walk from the llacuna station and it’s so easy to access the center of the city. Also a good one is that it’s literally a 2-5 min walk to the beach and the beach is calm and filled with locals because a lot of tourists don’t really visit this part of the beach so fun times ahead ~~~

This hotel Poblenou makes a great base for exploring Barcelona. The staff were friendly & very helpful, there was a good selection of food options for breakfast & the rooms though basic were comfortable. The location in Poblenou is what really makes this an excellent option as a visitor though as the neighbourhood has all the shops, bars, cafes, restsurants & even a market that the tourist could ever need without loosing its essentially local character. Throw in being right next the beach & with easy & fast metro access to the city centre and it is the perfect holiday base
