They did nothing to keep me safe until I called the police myself. The younger receptionists working in the day times were more understanding and tried harder to keep me safe but still they told me there was not much they could do. Additionally, I was harassed by another man in the bunk above me who kept asking to see my face and wouldn’t leave me alone. If you have to stay here as a woman, only stay in a female room. I know that it is not the hostels fault for the assault but the fact that my safety was not their priority afterwards is so poor on their part. I travelled europe for 3 months and this was the first hostel men bothered me at. Given it was two seperate men, steer clear ladies.

By far the worst hostel I’ve ever stayed in. The room was dark and dirty, the facilities were unhygienic and clearly not cleaned regularly. My group were promised (in writing) that we would all be allowed to stay together in a room and yet when a member of my group attempted to check in, they insisted that she stay in a different room with 13 strangers. Stayed here for an entire week in a 14 bed dorm and allthough it is very basic, I was very pleased with the location (precisely in the middle of everything interesting, next to a metro stop, so very well connected to the rest of th city), the cleanness of the sanitary and communal spaces, the overall feel of the hostel and also with the very friendly and helpfull staff. But beware, don't go and stay here if you don't like the vibrant atmosphere of the neighbourhood, if you are a very private person (you don't have much privacy, inspite of the curtains you can close around your bed) or if you can't sleep with earplugs. For the rest: very much recommended for the solo traveler that wants to experience the life in Barcelona.

Eat somewhere else or bring your own food as they have fridges. Would i stay there again? Yes

Convenient, right by a great tour service which helped us get the lay out of the land. Beds had blackout curtains around each one and there are lockers in each room as well as outside of them. There's outlets however the ones for the top bunks are too high up as well as the lights. Bottom bunks are ideal because of their light inside the blackout curtains so it isn't so disruptive. However the floors were incredibly creaky which made hard to sleep when people came in the room and the showers have no shelves. WiFi was consistent.

I missed my train so I booked this hostel last minute just for one night. If there were rooms available I would have booked a female dorm. Staff was very kind to me at check in but I went up to the room, this is at about 17:30 and it was dark and smelled terrible and crammed with sweaty boys. I left immediately. Facilities and rooftop is quite nice tho, if I werent traveling alone or if maybe I came in later after a night out this would have been okay for the night but was not suitable for me. This was really good hostel, we slept at the first floor so there was some noises coming from the street. There was not oven but little fridge and microwave and the kitchen was really clean! Nice athmosphere and nice people!

En Luggage was stolen from a locker that was locked with a lock I bought at the hostel. They have a policy to show your room card at the door before you enter and have a cctv security system, but nobody knew anything about what happened. Nobody heard or has seen anything. The man at the door told me it was his college that was working at the time, so he didn´t know what went wrong. He just gave me the address for the police station and that´s it. Don´t trust the lockers, don´t trust the people that work here!!

I stayed here for a few days and want to share my experience. The good things first: The hostel is fairly clean and gets cleaned regulary. Its located right in the hearth of the city with a metro station right around the corner. There is a small kitchen with a fridge and a microwave. There is a laundry service and also a terrace. Now on to the not so great things. This is the loudest hostel i have been to. The beds are creaking constantly and you can hear the pipes everytime someone flushes. Plus people can check in anytime, so sometimes your bunkbed is shaking at 2am because someone new just arrived. Plus the rooms dont get fresh air because you cant open the window but you will still hear everything that is going on, on the streets. Additionally there are no real opportunities to get to know people. The foyer is just for eating and waiting. Also there is no alcohol allowed and no hostel events to get to know other travelers. Every little service costs extra. A rental towel will run you 3€ and isnt included in the pretty high price of around 30-40€ per night. So yeah, stay here for one or two nights for the location but dont plan to sleep here for longer than 3 nights.
