super super friendly, warm staff, clean, just it's size may be bit too small, small kitchen, small common area, small toilet & shower, small sink... n I m a small guy... though u can't ask for more for a city center hostels and most of all... All that don't matter it's staff is soooo cool, warm & friendly as soon as you step in the door you start chatting with it's staff... you know you will go again for sure if u happen to be in Barcelona again...

Location is good. Staff was fine. The room suggs azz. The price was absurd. I would have rather slept on the sidewalk if I had a locker for my possessions.

Location was good and the staff very friendly. The reason I'm still giving a negative review are twofold: 1. The room - No door(!), but just a curtain separating the room I stayed in from the adjacent room - Advertised as an 8 bed room, but they actually crammed nine beds into the room, which left very little space. -All the power outlets were in one place which unfortunately was right next to my bed, meaning there was constantly someone next to my bed charging their phone. -Only three showers for the entire hostel with one of them only having cold water 2. Refund policy My friend had to cancel a day before and the Refund policy is extremely scummy compared what is common practice in other Spanish hostels. They charge you the full price for the first night and 20% of the price for all remaining nights. In the meantime they rented the bed to someone else and were thus able to effectively double their profits.

Great place to stay in center of Barcelona downtown. Walking distance to all famous places in Barcelona as well as Barcelona beach. Sleep Green is a ECO friendly youth hostel. Stuff were very knowledgeable and friendly. I would definitely stay there again!

The location of the hostel is great, right in the middle of the city and a couple of minutes or less from Placa Catalunya. The staff is super great (special shoutout to Francesca, Ruth and of course Barbara). The rooms are small which kind of expected, but my biggest complain is that rooms have no keys and you can't lock them, which led to an issue with another customer (one day he started coming and going in the room as he pleased without knocking or anything) but that's an exceptional case. I recommend the hostel for the awesome staff.

I was in Barcelona looking for inexpensive but quality and safe, what a nice surprise! This place has so much to offer, don't know where to start. I have nothing but praise and completely enjoyed my stay. The location, rooms and free stuff made everything great. No let downs here! I can't wait to go back for a week or so!

Location was great! Great hostel with a great staff. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean. They have a kitchen so you can cook your own meals. I will definitely stay there again.

Amazing location. Rooms, kitchen and bathroom are clean. The staff were friendly and professional but Barbara, Vitor and Veronica were beyond amazing. Three of them really put a smile on my face everyday. Reception is 00-24. The room was fine. I don't like that there are no plugs to charge your phone right next to the bed, instead there is a central place to charge your devices. The rooms are a bit cold (my subjective feeling) as the temperature in April drops during the night.

It's modest but decent! The location's good, the lockers are large and there's great storage options. The kitchen is very small and several of the toilet and shower doors are broken or hard to open/close, the shower heads are mounted to the wall, you have to press the button roughly every ten seconds and when you want to enter the hostel you have to ring the bell every time though. The walls look like they would let every sound through, but it's actually very quiet. It's not a party hostel and the vibe isn't that social, but if you like a calm environment it's good. 7/10

I had a wonderful stay at Alternative Creative Youth Hostel - the location is literally PERFECT, the service of the team is beyond wonderful and very professional, and the room was just as expected. I was blown away by the service of Amanda, who made me feel welcome from the moment I walked through the door. I also enjoyed excellent service from Victor and Alejandro, and another female employee whose name I am forgetting (sorry!). Following a terrible stay at St Christopher’s Inn, I came to ACYH and it totally turned my vacation around. Thank you, Amanda and team! I’ll be back, for sure.

Perfect location for walking around the center of Barcelona. There's a thrift store next door with, a burger join across the street. The staff were very friendly and upfront. They were helpful both with any issues I had inside the hostel and looking for places outside of it! Being able to pay $6 to use the hostel as a rest stop between walks throughout the day after checking out was incredibly useful and made my short time there much more pleasant. When I come back next year, I hope this quality stays the same.

Great hostel in a right location. Close to the beach... and when you come back they have free wifi, kitchen, as well as linen and other amenities that cover your stay. Staff was also very nice and made it feel like home, in between convenient sight seeings with plenty of tours in the vicinity.

Is it what you would expect for 30-40 euros per night. Everything is clean and the staff is friendly

This place has a room right where reception is. They do not care if its late at night the woman that works here and some guests talk and talk not caring that people pay to sleep here.

No drinking water. You are forced to pay 1:50 Euro for a templed water bottle (not cold available). Otherwise: bathrooms and kitchen water comes hot (so you must buy). Greed has its limits, and free drinking water it's the most basic human right. Disgusting.

The girls in reception are lovely and very helpful. If you stay there for 1 or 2 nights you will be fine staying longer and you will quickly change your mind. The two men (business owners/partners?) are very deceitful. For a longer stay they will tell you one price but in the end they will charge you a different price for each night ! I was charged like this €25,70, €27.70, €29.70, €37.70 their explanation ; 'Oh we charge more on Tuesday (pick a day) ! 'We were full that night!' etc... They would demand payment hoping you will not notice their scam. They are constantly on the edge ; one of them chased me in the internal court yard when I went to look for and found an item of clothing mistakenly put out to dry by the cleaner. (I guess they were scared I might steal the bedsheets!!!). I was put in a girls' dorm but one night they sneaked 2 boys in there ; their explanation ; 'Oh, they were only 17 years old!' They cooked food in the night so the smell engulfs the room! There is no lock on the doors and no girls' only shower. Oh you get free tea and biscuits 24h !!!

The hygeine of this hostel was lacking. The rooms were kind of gross and the bathrooms were like changerooms. Not comfortable. The service wasn't that good. THey gave towels to some people and not others. We also got onlyone sheet for bed while some got comforters. We were 2 young girls put with 4 men so maybe they should categorize room members a little better. Location was a short walk to the metro so that was good.

Very friendly hostel with a laid back atmosphere. Easy to feel at home, and the staff is incredibly helpful! They have a ton of great suggestions for what to do around the city

Great ! My son and I loved it. Small but very welcoming. Quiet. Safe. One of the few hostel which is family friendly. Not the place for party animals. Employees are helpful expecially Nicola and Hamed working night. The owner Alvand is friendly. Reception desk staff monitor entrance 24h and make sure the place is quiet overnight, give a lot of tourist tips and make sure the place is restfull and zen! Ideal location: 24h restaurants close by, Orange store to get sim card few minuts away, 3min walk from Plaça Catalonya (subway, tourism office, tax free service, aerobus departure every 5 min/24h, departure for the hop on hop off bus, the northern end of La Rambla and south end of Passeig the Gracia street with fashion designers store and 2 Gaudi houses). Also the hostel offers 10% discount in some restaurant. The bathroom are cleaned thoroughly daily and they even posted a note to report any issue on this matter to ensure an immediate clean up! Clean rooms and confortable beds with comfy cotton quilt and electric outlet at bedside. AC make it nice to sleep. Fully equipped kitchen with free 24h cookies, variety of teas and coffee. really appreciate when arriving tire and late!. Individual locker in the room with keys (deposit of 20euro in cash). Size fits one cabin luggage size and a little extra space. Common storage room for bigger and extra lluggage under reception clerk supervision is also available. Mixed room of 4-6. Like any other hostel and public places one has to be careful with its belonging as human being are what they are and disrespectful minds are anywhere! Living in dorms and sharing public areas with other guests comes with a reality no one can fully have control over despite great effort and vigilance!

Loved staying here! Instantly felt at home due to the nice staff. We had some nice conversations and even did a little dance with them at one point hahah. Stayed here for 2 nights and I'm actually hoping to come back there. The owner is a nice guy and he treats his colleagues and visitors very well. Also, they apply good ways to ensure the "green" part of the company. Everything from the dorms till the common area is comforting.

10/10 I would recommend this to anyone on a tight budget looking for good, clean and comfortable accommodations near the center of Barcelona. Very very very helpful and friendly staff who will do their best to keep you happy. These guys are seriously awesome! You could just have a friendly chat with them or ask for recommendations or anything! The rooms are good. I stayed in the 4 sharing dorm and got to meet a lot of very interesting people. The lockers are quite safe and if you have the right kind of roommates, it doesn't even matter whether you lock it or not! The number of bathrooms are little less, compared to the number of people living there, but one never has to wait very long. The kitchen is fully functional and has everything you need to survive. The location is terrific. It is just a 5 minute walk from Placa Catalunya, which is where you can get the metro, the airport bus, people offering free walking tours and it is a great place to just chill as well. La Rambla is also just beside this. If I'm ever in Barcelona again, this is where I'm staying.

i had a hard time finding it at first only because it is inside an amazing building that is not typically where hostel is set. near to everywhere. metro, plaza, mini market, supermarket, bike rental, shopping malls, restaurants. great place, clean room and toilette. good internet connection. free tea and cookies 24/7. was given a free locker. a staff helped out to arrange a free walking tour.

Location is perfect! Staff is friendly. Prices are a bit hight in view of what's provided though. I would suggest to offer more separate male/female bedrooms versus mixed

I slept in because I was tired and didn't hear my alarm. They woke me up after the check out time and charged me 6 euros for a late check out. And didn't even give me a warning beforehand. Very bad hospitality....
