Visited November 2019 for four nights. Good value for money, good location just a very short distance to Las Ramblas. Few seconds walk to an excellent food marked hall. Order tea/coffee/soft drinks etc from reception and they will bring to your room, just €1 per drink (payable on check-out) Kettle and cups in room but you'll have to bring your own coffee etc. Rooms cleaned/beds/towels changed daily. We had en suit room with small balcony with table and two chairs. Safe inside wardrobe. Would stay here again.

Great hostal, modern with really nice rooms and clean bathrooms. Big doors and a balcony. It's in an exciting area of Barcelona and the staff are wonderful. Nothing more is needed to have a great time in this wonderful city.

I got a private room for one night, with shared bathroom right across the room. The location is perfect, near la rambla - so you get the best of everything. The bathroom was clean and comfortable, nothing else. For the price and the room, it’s a nice deal.

We were guests for 2 nights and are super happy with the stay - very clean rooms, friendly staff, good location and comfort in the rooms. Also cheap beverages in the hostal. The Hostal is next to a big market (touristic) so it can be a little bit loud outside, but not really a Problem. However, there are a few things that could be improved - first is the key system - when you leave you hand in the key (which I don't think is bad at first) - however, you don't need to leave a deposit, so we got a wrong key once by mistake. I don't think that's such a good solution; it would be better if you just got a small token or something - if you lost it, that would be the case and you could still identify yourself. Secondly, the laminate in the corridors - quite noisy and there are no seals between the doors - we hardly noticed it, but I think it could be solved better with a different floor covering. Otherwise, I can definitely recommend the hostal for its price-performance ratio!

La Palmera Hostal located right in the heart of Barcelona it’s near to many touristy objects and attractions. Need to Plaça de Barcelona, Catalunya, only Walking distance to Museu Frederic Mares and Cathedral de Barcelona, the famous amous La Rambla street and park, so many restaurants chains and coffeeshops, supermarkets etc w And bonus it’s just right in the corner before you can find the Mercat de La Bouqueria. The receptionists are very helpful, informative and friendly.

Good location and simple room (exactly what I needed). But I’m literally laying here in bed right now at 11:00 pm and I can hear the conversation next door verbatim. I can also hear any and all conversations at the check in desk since I’m right next to it so be forewarned that you either need earplugs or need to be so tired that you can sleep through what you’ll hear through the walls.

Stayed in a twin room with a private shower. Clean. Great location next to the Mercado and Gothic Quarter. Nice staff at desk.

They were extremely rude and didn't allow anyone to come into the room which was extremely inconvenient and the price you are staying at a hostel you could get a regular hotel. It's Definlty not worth the price and staff is rude...not accommodating

Good location - right by the market and lots of beautiful squares for exploring and eating! People working there were all very friendly! We particularly enjoyed the coffee the reception provided ☺️

Decent hostel in Barcelona centre. Friendly staff and comfy rooms, although walls between rooms were quite thin. Shower was lovely, and rooms had a sink which was handy. For the price, very good

Some rooms have view to La Bouqeria Market wich can be a little bit noisy some times in the day...

Great location, great hostel, great employees. Only downside is that you can hear the other people in the other rooms, but that is no issue to us. The airconditioning is great in summer, the location is in the heart of BCN, and the staff is extremely helpful and kind. Would recommend this hostel to anyone visiting Barcelona.

Great small hostel. Stayed in a private room, which was comfy and very clean. Shared bathrooms were also kept clean. Very helpful staff and great location. Also felt very secure, with a 24hr reception. Would use again if ever in the city.

I had a great stay at La Palmera! Fantastic location for a really great price, room was very clean and light, and the balcony was an added bonus!! No problems with the shared bathroom, was always clean and never had to queue (although the shower was a little difficult to use). No noise from the street even at weekends, but I could sometimes hear people in the neighbouring room. Finally a massive thank you to the staff, who were super friendly and helpful! Would definitely stay here again if I'm in Barcelona.

Super clean and friendly hostel. Checkin was super easy and staff were really friendly. Our double room, which had a shower in the room and a shared toilet was simple but very comfortable, with a little balcony. Shower in the room was very much appreciated! Room was very clean and the air conditioning worked perfectly. On checkout we could leave our bags while we strolled around the city. Not only that, but my girlfriend's parents were flying into Barcelona that day and so we asked if they could also store their bags. They were kind enough to allow this which was massively appreciated and saved us a lot of hassle. Really recommend this place for those wanting a quiet, easy, peaceful place to stay in Barcelona.

This place was perfect from beginning to end. They let us do an early check in to our room so we could leave our bags and start exploring the city. It’s always super clean and the rooms are very clean as well. Ample space for a temporary visit. On the last day they let us keep our bags their until our flight later that day so we could take full advantage of the time their. Definitely recommend for solo and group/couple travels! Located perfectly off a couple streets from la Rambla and attractions.

Me and my boyfriend were in the double private room in front of the reception. Overall good position, right relation quality price and nice staff!

Very good location, clean and quiet inside, small balcony included, good shower rooms, private sink inside rooms - 10/10 would recommend
