TLDR; don’t stay here if you want to sleep. I booked a private room here thinking it’d be a little more fun than a hotel and we’d save a few euro. After the first night, I realized I should have bit the bullet and just gotten a local 3-star hotel room. 1. The hostel is SO NOISY. Every footstep placed, word spoken, and door closed sounds like it’s in your room. When the room next to us closed their door it literally vibrated our bed. We were woken up every hour, if not more often, starting at 4:30am. 2. The beds are supremely uncomfortable. Very firm. One of our was creaky and would wake the other up if we turned in the night. Everything else is… fine. Staff wasn’t chipper at all, cleanliness is up to par, not too much public space, but some. Free dinner over free breakfast isn’t convenient, IMO, but I’m not a breakfast guy so no complaints here. Maybe if you’re traveling solo it’d be a benefit. Contrary to the other reviews, the location isn’t all that great. 20 minute walk to Gracia, 20 minute walk to the Gothic Quarter. It’d be better to book in either one of those neighborhoods. Bike rentals were great, though.

I enjoyed my stay in bed & bike hostel very much. I stayed in the hostel for a little over a week, for work, and for low-key exploring the city. The hostel provided a good homebase, with plenty of space to focus on work, a large kitchen the cook my own dinners (they also host free dinners every day apart from Sundays), and the most friendly staff was ready to help 24/7. Very safe and clean hostel, and convenient location to start your Barcelona experience from.

Great Hostel. I travel alone and stayed here for 3 nights. Clean rooms and facilities. Open kitchen and chillout-area. Free bike tour is also great (7€ for renting the bike though) The evening program every day is also a nice way of connecting with the other travelers. Nice staff. Would stay here again any time!

16 bed room. 3 showers and 3 toilets. Which is honestly better than many other hostels which only have 1 shower. Well kept and lobby is great for hanging out. Staff are nice and you can rent a bike for a day for 7€ which is super convenient for getting around the city.

Overall a decent stay. Clean and somewhat comfortable (found the bed a bit too hard). The free dinner was an absolute joke (mini hot dogs with cheese) so we went elsewhere. Lockers are far too small for belongings.

Staff could be more friendly. Anti-social vibe. 45 Euro per night is too much for a hostel, you should pay 3 euro to rent a towel, and 8 euro to use the laundry.

This was my first time staying in a Hostel and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. It is so clean and smells lovely when you enter the reception. The beds and pillows were fairly comfy and the kitchen facilities were great! I honestly find the fact they provide a free meal each evening amazing! As a group of young girls travelling on a budget, it helped us so much and the meals were lovely - it also helps to create a more social or atmosphere by bringing everyone together in the evening as opposed to providing breakfast instead. The Hostel on a whole has a perfect, friendly and down to earth vibe to it - it is the perfect balance between a party hostel and a non-party hostel which I found had a homely atmosphere. The staff were all lovely and very helpful, thank you to Diego for our amazing bike tour and to Lorenzo for our meals! I also highly recommend anyone staying at the hostel to take advantage of the free bike tour, it was the perfect addition to our trip. The location of the hostel is also perfect, which is close to metro-stations for access to any part of the city. Overall I highly recommend anyone to stay at this hostel, thank you Bed & Bike for making our trip to Barcelona amazing!!

Extremely friendly staff. Place is in the center ( 10 mins walk from Sagrada Familia ) so its the perfect choice to spend the night. Not expensive , great place for breakfast-lunch-dinner , staff was really helpful when we asked them to recommend us something to see - eat and also , they have the option to rent bikes from them! Rooms are clean , with lockers inside. ( lockers are not so big but they are enough for a backpack and some small things ) Very important note is , that even though it was almost full of people , place was not noisy at all. Recommended!

Super lovely hostel with a great atmosphere and helpful staff. I was cycling through with my bicycle and they were very helpful in letting me store it inside with their hire bicycles. They also had a delicious communal evening meal which was donation based. Next time I travel to Barcelona this will be the first place I check for availability. Muchas gracias!

It might not be the most confortable hostel in town but the atmosphere here is super cool and the staff very friendly. The common areas are great and there are a lot of social activities organized (bicycle tours, dinners, parties,…). Ideal for solo travelers and very good location.

Great common room at bed and bike. We stayed in private room and was super clean, same goes with the shared bathroom, it was clean always. Beds in room weren’t the comfiest in the world but overall Bed and Bike is a good spot.

bed & bike hostel is the first and the best hostel i have ever stayed. the room is pretty clean, and they clean the washroom often so it is usually dry and clean. the atmosphere in the hostel is very lively & chill, which i enjoyed very much! free bike tour & free dinner every day. dont forget to sign up for it if youre interested staying. - the bike guides, Agus, Alix, and Lucina are very friendly. through the bike tour they took us to attractions around barcelona, they even introduce us of the history, and the "fun facts"! haha - their bikes are of very good quality. definitely worthy spending one day biking around. - the dinner that hosted by Lucina was amazing. if youre interested in trying spainish local food, dont miss the free dinner, do sign up a bit before dinner. like the bike trip, its a great opportunity to get to know your hostel mates, maybe even becoming travel pals! (i had spainish risotto & pan con tomate, that was really good!) & ill definitely come back again, ill see you sofia!! Xx anyway, thank you for the best host guys💕

It's very easy to get to know new people as every single person is open to conversation here. There are also daily community events. it's possible to cook here and there's entertainment in the common area. VERY FUN!! The bikes are cheep and great for enjoying the good weather and easily getting to your next destination. The service is 24/7 and very nice and helpful. The rooms can be a bit loud or hot but if you basically only sleep there its exactly what you need. can recommend for everyone who likes company and lives a vivid lifestyle. great opportunities.

Great position, great staff, you get to know all the info you need about the city, bikes are great to explore the city, rooms, rooms are ok, clean. They organise daily bike toots and dinners for wery cheap or evean free. The kitchen and the lobby are big open space, great to relax or to meet someone! Recomand!

Good location, but the staff is unfriendly, and my bed was gross (weird stains running down walls and stained pillow). One of the staff got really upset that I was waiting in the common area before my check-in time and kicked me out, after they had already said it was ok when I asked?

This was an amazing experience. It's clean, complete, nice. Everything was arranged properly in kitchen, in room. The location was also too good. Staffs are also good.

Completely awesome place. Location is great and even by foot or with bike everything is near. Beds, kitchen and bathroom was clean, for hostel above average. But the best thing were people working there. Thanks to free group dinners and their hospitality I felt like home. I love to try new places but when returning to Spain I'll go there again.

Really good hostel for meeting solo travellers, it has nice events and a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The hostel could be better if the rooftop terrace was open and if they had more helmets available for cyclists. The staff here are very friendly and helpful.

Great location, easy to walk everywhere. Tetuan station is nearby but can reach everywhere on foot, except Park Guell. Safe and quiet neighbourhood with many grocery stores and restaurants on the same street. Room is clean and beds are comfortable enough for a hostel. Staff are present 24 hours and are quite friendly when approached. There is a well equipped kitchen and recreation area.

Clean, lots of room, friendly staff, on top of offering free activities, like a sangria night or pizza night. Can’t give a 5 star just because of the cost to rent a bike I can understand the deposit but having a cost on top of that seems a bit much. It is only 7 euros so your not breaking the bank, but I did travel with a limit. All in all I would stay here again. Booked through hostel world.

Absolutely loved staying here. Met loads of lovely people and had a blast. Helpful and friendly staff. Clean, tidy and walking distance to most places. I didn't do the bike tour but I will next time I go! Kitchen was always clean although I didn't use that for more than storing a banana. The shared meal was a vegan paella and it was a great atmosphere.

It was my first stay in a hostel and I must mention that it was a great start. The place was clean, staff was good and friendly. In addition to the dorm rooms, there is a common area with a kitchen where you can interact with other people. What you get there- Bed with blanket and sheets, storage drawer with key. To get the key, you need to deposit 10 euros (which you will get back after you return the key during checkout). The kitchen has utensils and stove. You can keep your eatables in the common area. You will be instructed to label your stuffs for identification. They organize events every evening. You can check at the reception for this information. You can rent the bike and go on a self-tour around the city. From the location point of view, the place is centrally located and well connected. There are numerous shops around. There is also a small café nearby.

An amazing hostel! This was my first hostel experience and it was really really good, I had so much fun staying there. It has a great vibe inside, I met a lot of like-minded travellers and enjoyed my time there. I would definitely recommend choosing this Hostel for your stay. Also, the staff there are amazing! Luis and Ricardo are very helpful and fun to be around, highly recommend going.

For a Hostel this place is really comfortable and if you’re working from your computer is pretty chill. Loved the vibe and I felt like home. There’s free coffee and tea so you can save on that side. The rooms are pretty big so you won’t feel like you’re head to head with the other guests.

Cool ambience+ great service. Dorms are a bit small, but not bad at all. Cleanliness is good

This is an outstanding hostel. Being able to roll out of bed and get sorted with a nice bike from reception at a reasonable price was such a game changer for my experience in Barcelona, especially with the free bike tour! It made the city so much more accessible. That alone would just about clinch a five start rating from me, but this place really checks all the boxes: great location, super cool and friendly staff, clean, comfortable, all the amenities you need, and coolest of all, a delightful free dinner instead of breakfast, which is so much more sociable! (and it's actually delicious homemade food instead of toast and jam so consider throwing in a couple euros if you can spare it!)

A perfect hostel, all the staff were so chill, amazing bike tour and everything was so clean. It has everything you need and the staff always went further to do help us even when we were being difficult. If I'm ever in Barcelona I will return to bed & bike!

Very cosy! Clean kitchen and friendly staff. We could bring our own bikes inside. Perfect for bike packers. Free bike sightseeing tours in the morning!

Short summary: this hostel is the best, would recommend to everyone! Unabridged version: Out of the three hostels I stayed in during my Barcelona trip, Bed and bike hostel felt special. It achieves a perfect middle ground of sociable, without being a party hostel where people just come to get smashed every night. The open plan design and general vibe make it easy to chat to meet travellers in the kitchen and during the free family dinners. All the facilities are clean and tidy, the kitchen is one of the best I've ever used in a hostel and it's in an excellent location. The staff working/volunteering in the hostel made it an especially memorable visit (Gonza, Augustina, Tanya), such friendly and energetic people. And Alix's bike tour was the best, super knowledgeable and enthusiastic! Muchas gracias a tod@s hasta la próxima ❤️

Bed and bike hostel is for me one of the best hostels i ever tried, i never felt as confortable as in that hostel, i spent 3 weeks in a 4 beds room with private toilet. The hostel is perfectly clean, there is a cleaning lady who cleans the room every day, the employees there are just incredible, comprehensive, they are adorable 🥰 there is a kitchen perfectly equipped you have your own space where to put your food and groceries. Free cafe free the. A big living room with TV where you can chill, there is free dinner every day, free tour bicycle, billiards, computer, they have also a washing machine if you need for 10 euros i think. They have everything 👌 and the cherry on the cake the location is just perfect just 5 min from tetuan metro station, you can go walking to segrada familia, to plaza catalunya to rambla even to the beach 😍 so if you think to book there or no ? Just do it you are not going to regret it ❤️

Nice hostel. It has a great common room with plenty of couches and tables. It isn’t really a party hostel, but thanks to the setup (and free daily dinners) it’s easy to meet people if you’re in the mood. Private rooms are simple but fine. Didn’t see the dorms. Location worked well for me.

It was my first time traveling on my own, and I couldn't had a better place to end up. The people who are working or volunteering there are very friendly and help you with all of your questions, there are free dinners you can join, and you can start your stay with a free biketour trough the city. Everything is taken care of and it a clean place with family vibe going on. Very nice to stay and I would recommend it to everyone!
