The worst stay I have ever had. the bathroom is not clean and the rooms are old. It is also located in an area with increased crime.

Great location, but almost everything else is not good. You can hear people outside of the hostel every night( there are bars nearby). We had broken light bulb in our room, hair in bed sheets. Breakfast is not that bad, it's same every day. Rude staff.. I would not go there again.

Situated in the Gothic district of the city, in just a couple of steps from the sea, tube and bus stops, plenty of shops, restaurants & pubs. The location is the ultimate strong side of this place. The rest unfortunately disappointing: old, damaged or broken equipments & facilities, dirty rooms, curtains, floors, kitchen tables & bathrooms. Also, if you prefer an undisturbed and quiet stay I would not recommend this place as it's located right in the middle of the party road of the city.

The place is really alright given it's so cheap. You're right in the center of the old town, close to the beach and public transport. The rooms are clean, but dated, mine had a balcony which I really enjoyed. The staff was very friendly and I could practice my Spanish with them. Bring ear plugs - you are surrounded by bars and restaurants!

The Gothic Quarters where this place is located is brilliant!! You could spend all day getting lost. Lots of quaint restaurants and bars nearby. The hostel itself is not that great.. But can't expect much at that price. Some charging points would be nice, though! The day receptionist, Sara is a sweetheart but at night there is a grump Spanish grandfather who is in charge.

Simply horrific. Avoid! Noisy, dirty, too hot. The shared bathrooms are filthy. No AC in the rooms but they got one in the corridor for their reception! Do not care about their guest comfort. My room was dirty after check in with hair on my bed. Downstairs is street full of bars - impossible to sleep as drunk people are screaming but it's too hot to close the windows.

I’m not one to write reviews but I feel as if it’s my duty to write this one. I advise everyone not to stay here, this place is extremely unsafe and not worth a single penny. We arrived at the Hostel and went straight to reception to check in. Or at least we tried to, the member of staff at the desk seemed very annoyed that we were disturbing him while he was watching his programme and gave us any key to a room without checking our booking, names, passport etc. He did say anything to us just put the key in the door and left us standing there. We went back to the desk as we wasn’t told where the bathroom was and couldn’t find it. When we asked he yelled and swore at us as he was watching a tv show and didn’t like that we were disturbing him. We couldn’t find the bathroom and felt extremely unsafe due to this staff member. We went back to our room and immediately booked another accommodation. It was a hotel this time as we were so shaken up we did not want to take any risks and so we opted for BCN Urban Hotels del Comte which turned out to be cheaper than our original booking at this hostel. We left within 15 minutes or arriving and it was the best decision we ever made. Additionally, the rooms were filthy, not cleaned and hairs from previous guest everywhere. We didn’t even get to see the bathroom but can imagine it being clean. Do yourselves a favour and don’t waste your time or money on this place. Hope this review helps people from making the same mistake we did and booking with them.

Nice hostel. We booked a twin room. It was very clean. Its not the most modern hostel in the world but we didnt really care because we only came there to sleep. Considering the price we had absolutely nothing to complain about. Its in the gotic quarter and its pretty crowded there. Despite this, we had no noise disturbance. I would definitely recomend this hostel!

If you get a room with windows/balcony toward the street, be prepared to not get any sleep until 3-4 AM in the weekends. The rooms are not at all soundproof. That goes for inside as well. Be prepared to listen in on the conversations going on in the hallway and in your neighbouring rooms. The price is reasonable considering how central the location is. The Ramblas (main street) is only a short walk away. The service is excellent. Rooms were cleant every day to our satisfaction. Overall, very happy with the stay. Lots of cozy places to drink and eat right outside.

I have stayed in alot of hostels and this one is the worst, if there is below 1 star I would give it to them! Very rude night shift staff, he is old and doesn't speak English at all! WiFi was not working and there is no AC in the room which was not clean and extremely hot and noisy! There is no handle to the shower so I don't know how we could take one! The inky good thing in this Sh*thole is the location!
