Avoid at all costs. We found tons of bed bugs in multiple rooms, when we mentioned it to the man at reception he offered to move us to another room but the rooms are all connected so it would not have helped. We packed all our stuff and checked out, sitting in the cafe downstairs while we figured out where to sleep, but the receptionist kicked us out because we weren’t allowed to use the facilities after checking out, meaning 5 young women were on the street at 4am with nowhere to go. The rooms themselves had no natural light, thin walls, the bathroom was so dirty and the shower wasn’t worth using. The location by the beach was good but does not make up for the lack of cleanliness, rudeness of the staff, and bed bugs running rampant.

young receptionist, she should change jobs, she treats guest service as a compulsion and is rude. We are not animals, let us be labeled like pigs ... do not use the words good morning, goodbye, looks at guests with contempt. I advise you to change jobs to avoid further frustration.

The hostel's proximity to the beach is the best selling feature and it seems like the owners know this. No upgraded amenities. You hear everything from adjacent rooms. There is nothing to encourage engagement amongst travelers. I help to organize a meet up in the cafe lobby and we were told to leave cause the night guy had to clean. There I met travelers who were checking out early to find another hostel. I had a room with no windows. The hostel turns off the AC to conserve money, so at night it was very hot. Nothing about the way the hostel is managed seems to be customer centric. Customers are asked to adjust to fit what's convenient for the hostel. For example, the hostel was exterminating (I think). They gave no notice and a guy just used a key to come in my room. He didnt even say anything as he walked by me. I said "hello", why are you here. Someone could have been naked. There are a couple of workers from the Cafe run by the hostel who were awesome.

If you read this, don’t come here! Worst hostel experience of my life and I have seen a few. The one good thing: you are right next to the beach. Thats it. Super small rooms, everything is crammed together. Besides the Restaurant there is no common area. You can hear ANYTHING that is going on in the other rooms. Bathroom is dirty and there is no toilet seat. There are no curtains and most wall sockets/lights dont work. The absolute worst part: 2 am in the middle of the night somebody shakes me awake „WHO ARE YOU“ „WHATS YOUR BOOKING NUMBER“ The manager woke me up in the middle of the night, no respect or anything. Something got messed up in the system but why not wait till the morning? Next morning they tell me i need to pack my stuff and change rooms. Done, they come back „no, it‘s fine“ and all for nothing. Planned to stay 7 nights but Im checking out tomorrow. Didnt get my money back. Will never come back. Avoid this place.

I would really like to warn you of this place. -There are huge Insects (4-6cm) in the showers -The toilets are missing the part where you sit on -There is mold everywhere -The doors don’t open properly -There is hair everywhere, no matter where you look -The rooms are bright as day in the night, thanks to a street light being right behind the part of the window that is unconcealed. Thanks to that I had the blissful experience of sleeping 3 hours 🌈 before a long day of travelling. I would strongly advise you to go somewhere else, you just feel constantly disgusted. +it’s just a bad hostel generally. No common areas, no kitchen, no nothing.

Worst hostel ever. Staff was rude when we checked in. The room was dirty, with no windows or air conditioning and mold on the only vent. There were holes in the walls and mold in the bathroom. The toilet seat was not fixed to the toilet, we found cockroaches in the shower and when we told the employee at reception, he already knew there were cockroaches in that room! They charged us 340€ for one night for that dump! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

I have stayed in numerous hostels, and by far this was my worst experience ever. We had to leave a night early and book a last minute hotel. Here’s a breakdown: Pros: - Nice location Cons: - Extremely unfriendly staff, don’t say a word to you ever. When you walk to the front desk, they don’t even look at you. Very unhelpful. - Disgusting. When I arrived my bed was genuinely covered in hair and dirt/sand. I have a video of the state of the hair and dirt on the bed on arrival I wish I could post here, but can’t sadly. Also some very obvious mysterious stains all over the bed cover. Bugs everywhere, in shower and around beds. Also the rooms stank so badly on arrival and throughout the stay, it gave me a headache. - Broken door. The keycard scanner to our door did not work at all, and would often take up to 30 tries until it finally opened - Terrible rooms. So small two people can’t walk past each other. The beds are cheap and very uncomfortable. Getting on the top bunk is extremely difficult. The walls have rows of large circles leading to the neighboring rooms for some reason, so you hear them crystal clear and if they have lights on it lights up your whole room. - Make you wear a big bright paper wristband your whole stay so that “The staff know your a guest”, but no one ever checked once since they don’t even look up from their desk when you enter the hostel. - They turn the bars lights off at night to “save money” so it’s always dark. It’s the only “common room” but you can’t hangout there since it’s pitch dark. The rooms are too uncomfortable and small to hangout it. Only good for sleeping in, and even for that it’s not good. A terrible experience overall, avoid at all costs. Not worth the location. Also forced us to pay security deposits with card and not cash, have not yet got my deposit back and don’t think I will.

Excellent location! The place was good enough for a hostel. Beds were ok, toilets were not super clean but it’s understandable since 8 people were sharing that toilet. The only problem there was a girl who works as the manager (or it looked like). She was extremely rude with guests and employees. I stayed there 5 nights and every day she had bad attitude wit everybody, yelling and answering in a not polite way. Sadly, because of her I can only give 3 stars to this place, the rest of the staff were nice , helpful and relax.

I’ve been in a lot of hostels. This is definitely the worst. Dirty old rooms without air. Toilet without the top so you barely sit down. And the most shocking thing was that the guy from reception came to our room and took our bottle of vodka like in a high school dormitory. Never ever

Keep away from this scammers!! I demand immediate action! I booked a room through Hostelworld, but when I arrived, the beds were completely undone and covered in filth. To make matters worse, the hostel refused to refund me after I complained about these unacceptable conditions in both the room and the toilets. It's clear they're profiting from users trying to cancel, as they have a policy of not offering refunds, regardless of the state of their facilities. This is outrageous and must be rectified and authorities notified. I insist that the local authorities be notified immediately to address this gross misconduct!

Worst place I ever stayed. Dirty, no windows, cockroach inside the bathroom, the flash broke 2 time in 4 days. The girl receptionist she was always rude, when we arrived it took us more than half an hour for the check in and in our check out she didn’t even know how to give us refund for the keys that we paid in the check in so we left without getting our money back plus she ignored us while we were waiting for a solution and she start doing something else instead. There was no management to help or to complain any of the days we stayed there. Definitely I’ll never go back and don’t recommend this place to anyone.

Decent stay for one night on the coast of Barcelona. I work remotely and was hoping for a common space as advertised but it has been turned into storage. The wifi worked well from the room and cafe areas.

Worst hostel ever, very uncomfortable beds, small crowded rooms, very hot inside. Is there an aircon? Also few insects hovering around. I had an issue with the night front desk attendant. I arrived after dinner and asked to extend one night. He told me that he was too busy and could not help me, insisting that I have to do it in the next morning. This staff member was very rude and unpolite, not able to work with the public or in a team. Not happy in saying no to a guest, he complained to me that the blond lady who works in the afternoon did several mistakes, that's why he could not help and asked me (a guest) to complain about her (his coworker) with the manager. I was shocked. After that, I was overcharged one night. The manager, who could not finish a full sentence in English, next morning knew I was not going to stay and promissed a refund. It never happened. After 5 days I called the hostel, sent several emails but no answer. I heard from other guests that it's common that they hold your deposit, be careful. It's a very expensive hostel with poor staffing and dodgy practices!

Be aware of occasional cockroaches in the bathroom and loud people, as the walls are thin as a paper. Despite that, great location. But after all, I think it’s worth to pay a little bit more and find a better place

In this place they take time to respond to messages with the appropriate information, and they are also not clear in giving the information. Everything, absolutely everything, they want to charge separately, if you don't care they charge you for breathing within their space, and they charge you according to the number of breaths per minute as well

Very unclean, uncomfortable and noisy hostel. Rooms we’re dirty only 1 toilet in a room of 8. Bathrooms were not cleaned properly and covered in hair and dirt, after asking I came back at the end of the day and it was still not done. On check you are made to wear a wrist band as if going to an event, for your whole stay so the hostel workers can tell your a guest… Felt very weird and unprofessional.

"I booked a youth hostel that displayed tempting photos, but the reality was quite different! The rooms were old-fashioned, the toilets were dirty, and we even found a cockroach! Moreover, the opening device didn't work, which forced us to ask for the staff's help every time we returned to the hostel. And let's not talk about the windowless room, with insufficient sound insulation and an opening to the other rooms on the upper floor... I strongly advise against it!

The most terrible people who work there. Yesterday at 8-9:p.m., I checked in, and there was a girl at the reception she was just rude and unfriendly. Not professional at all. She just let me wait, was playing and kidding around with her colleagues. Just did Not want yo work. SUCH ACTITUDE NOT ACCEPTABLE AT A GUEST HOUSE I ASKED HER YOUR TREAT YOUR CLIENTS LIKE THIS? THENBSHE SHUD UP. Oh dear god, never ever again am I gonna come here.

I give 1 star only for the location . The hospitality is terrific , very unpleasant staff. Rooms are dirty and u can literally listen the snoring from other rooms. Very uncomfortable. And the food and cafeteria is disgusting. Not recommended at all.

Located perfectly in Barceloneta right at the beach. Given that It is a hostel everything okay so far and well organized. Good for a few relative cheap days at the beach when you need no luxury and the room only to sleep

I was unable to check-in at night, the front door had a sign saying closed, no one answered the phone and the back door has no sign. No refund either. Good location if you can stay.

I give it three stars for the location. Its just at the beach! For the rest its one if the most terrible hostels I have ever been to. Everything about this hostel is terrible. I guess they know people come there for the location so they don't bother to provide more than the location.

Arriving early the busy Andres was super friendly and helpful! I met great people here and felt safe. Just walk outside and you are at the beach, as well as many restaurants to choose from. I highly recommend this stay especially for the price!

Great location. Especially if you like to live by the beach. You can see lots of different places, old historic buildings, parks, shopping centres, restaurants, at a walking distance too. Convenient for public transport as well. Good cooperative staff. The only downside I felt was the Atmosphere was not too friendly. When you live in a hostel, you could meet new people and make new friends, interact with other people. People were a bit too complacent for tiny things like lights in the room, or if you are talking to someone in your room or someone next door, as you could be heard even in the other rooms too. Maybe it also depends on the type of people living with you at that time.

My experience has been horrible I have not been able to sleep at all because the AIR CONDITIONING DOES NOT work.

  • 1/5 Sophie D. 2 years ago on Google
Honestly, the only good thing about it was the location, some off the staff are not the friendliest, asked if there was anything gluten free and she told me ‘I don’t know?’ And I told her if I eat gluten I’ll end up sick and she responded with ‘don’t eat then’. Very unhelpful. Also the rooms were not great, squeaky beds, the top bunk bed was like an obstacle course to get off, I’m only 5’8 and I was not comfortable, feet touching the wall. Also when we arrived back at night our room key wouldn’t open the door and one girl needed the toilet badly. So she went to use the PUBLIC toilet in reception while the man sorted the key and she got properly shouted at. Had around 2 hours sleep due to the fact it’s SO noisy, you can hear people talking and music from outside. The walls are like paper and you can hear people on the other side of the walls conversations.

I wanted to order a coffee at the coffee shop in this hostel. I've been waiting in the takeout line for a very long time, but they didn't receive my order. When I went to the counter line after long waiting, they told me to go to the take-out line and wait again. (They know how long I was waiting at the takeout line.) After all I didn’t order at this coffee shop. I felt that they didn't take orders on purpose because I was Asian, and I felt very uncomfortable because I thought it was racism.

This hostel was one of my favourite places to stay in Barcelona. The beach was literally just outside, and shower/bathroom facilities were always clean.

  • 1/5 Héloïse M. 1 year ago on Google
There was a cuckroach in the bathroom. And no windows inside the room. The commun kitchen is small, and there is no commun area to really meet people and socialize. Still great location, and enjoyable free drink in the morning in the bar downside.

This is the worst experience I’ve ever had with a hostel. They cancelled my reservation on the check in day, even though it was confirmed for over an year, and made no effort at all to help me finding a new place. The staff was really rude and unprofessional. If you can, look for another place because this one is not worth your money.

The worst hostel I see around the world. Very dirty. Very unfriendly. Very taf management. Also is very far from the city.

  • 2/5 Mark C. 1 year ago on Google
The only good thing about this place is the location. I was there for 1 night and couldn't sleep until 4am because of all the snoring and a guy near me smelled like an ash tray. The "quiet hours" are supposed to be after 10pm but there were multiple people coming in after 1 am and they didn't exactly try to be quiet. The receptionists look like they hate their life and/or their job and aren't very friendly. If you plan on staying for multiple days you might want to get the refundable booking just in case you hate it as much as I did.

Good location, friendly staff, noisy rooms. Rather cheap and perfect location. Bring earplugs and you will be fine! Bathrooms are bare minimum, you get a shower where you have to push a button to keep the water flowing.

  • 1/5 Pascal C. 1 year ago on Google
Avoid at all costs unless you can't afford anything else. Positive: Right at the beach (for whomever that's important) Negative: - the rooms smell really bad of cigarette smoke - rooms are tiny for 6 people - one toilet / shower per room, not clean - you have to sign a paper promising to be quiet from 22h onwards, but people in the hostel sing, listen to loud music, yell, knock on doors, all after 22h and the person in charge doesn't say anything - there's a doorbell at night which is very loud and rings about every 10min - staff is unfriendly
