The place is very clean .. workers clean and arrange rooms at least twice a day. The place is very in an excellent location and it is central, close to all tourist places., The internet is weak,There is a bit of noise because the rooms overlook directly on the main street, but nonetheless I would recommend a lot for this place.

We had a wonderful time staying in this hostal with extremely clean rooms! All tourist places were within walking distance. It's one of the safest areas in the city. The staff was super friendly and always willing to share things to do making it a wonderful stay.

Didn't actually get to stay - contracted Covid and as legal requirements for ALL countries is to isolate for a period of between 10 - 14 days, absolutely nothing we could do about contracting the virus or indeed complying with the law, we asked if we could amend the booking for a week later. Was told NO and charged the full amount for the already booked nights, needless to say - we did NOT re-book with an establishment like that.

Stayed for 1 night with private bathroom / en suite. Good sized room, complimentary toiletries, good water pressure in the shower and comfy mattress. Room was clean. I was in the room next to reception and it was a little noisy through the night, and the bed frame was a bit wobbly, but the room was such good value I think it's still worth 5 stars. Staff were extremely helpful

It is in a fairly good location with close access to the metro. The reception desk is open 24 hours which is really nice and was super friendly and helpful! The elevator is pretty old, small, and sketchy that didn't work very well with backpacks but we made due. The room seemed very modern and looked very nice, but unfortunately there was no air conditioning in the room. Overall we enjoyed our stay at this hostel.

Good location, decent prices, rooms are sparse but do the job. I am staying near end of November but room can still get stuffy, the AC is centrally controlled so can't be individually adjusted. Clean place though. Mixed experience with staff; one person at the front desk was super helpful and showed us all the points of interest to visit, while another desk staff was very rude. Overall good experience, would stay again.

The staff were so welcoming and lovely. We stayed two nights and the rooms were spotless. No noise from other rooms. They held our suitcases for as long as we needed and organised taxis for us, explained all the sights and the best ways to get around. Would come back again!

Awful hotel, I’ve never been in the place like this. Broken bathroom and shower, no air conditioning or refrigerator in the rooms. Too old poorly functioning beds and rediculous linens. Very inconvenient to transport heavy baggage with help of very old elevator dated back 18 th century . They will give you five different keys to access your own room, restroom, hallway , shower and the main entrance of the building. The only good thing is hotel’s location and my best advice is run, run, run if you don’t want to be deeply disappointed!!! Wouldn’t pay even 20 $ per night for this place.

Nice hostel according to the price! Room was very clean and tidy, they don’t serve breakfast but there are lots of options around that area! They provide shampoo, conditioner and other amenities. The only inconvenience was the shower because we have to share and sometimes got cold suddenly. Nice staffs at reception very friendly!

We stayed Hostal Martinval for 3 nights. It is a perfect place to explore Barcelona. The location of the hostal is 10-20 min. To each popular location by walk. We almost walk everywhere from there except the airport :) rooms are exactly same with the pictures. It was cleaned every they and the atmosphere was felt as the hygienic room. We really enjoyed our accommodation in Hostal Martinval. The receptionists are very kind and helpful. They you so much for our good experience 💕 🥰🥰

We stayed at this hostal the past few days and loved it! The rooms were nice and clean and had such a nice flaire. Even better was the service!!! A huge thank you goes to the manager, he always helped with anything we needed and it seemed as if he could make everything possible while he even added some tips or tricks. Overall it was an amazing experience and I would recommend it to everyone:)

Just came back from 4 nights here and wanted to say thanks to Marta, Manuel and the team for a great welcome and a very comfortable stay :) The Martinval is really central - within 20 minutes walk of Sagrada Familia to the East and Las Ramblas to the West, with Parc Guelle 30 mins walk North and the beach 30 mins to the South. It's also surrounded by a range of really good bakeries, cafes, restaurants and bars where prices are more reasonable than many we saw. Can't wait until our next visit!

Very good location, they clean our room every day! Hospitality was super!

The facilities are okay in shared space, for example refrigerator, water dispenser, etc.. it is very convenient with restaurants and supermarkets. However, I was very dissatisfied with the basic facilities of the room. The temperature of the bath water, Wi-Fi and soundproofing were bad. The temperature of the bath water in my room is a bit cooler, if other rooms use hot water to take a bath, my room has no hot water. the Wi-Fi signal is very poor, we can not receive any Wi-Fi signal in our room. The soundproofing was not good, I could hear snoring from next door all night. I was very disappointed with the functionality of the basic amenities in the room, although the front desk was very welcoming. The extra star given was that the hot water was fixed on the day we check out.
