The best churros and crema catalana in Barcelona. The tradition is 150 years old. It is not touristy although it is in the heart of Barcelona. Hidden gem and totally recommended.

It’s my second visit here over a few years. Previously as a first time tourist to such places, one would be willing to disregard or pay no attention to service and focus on the feel good experience. So it felt good then, to try their local hot chocolate and dining in a an old school restaurant. Not so pleasant this time round. We felt out of place and waiters paid no mind to us despite trying to get their attention. The female wait staff winced at us when my friend changed her order - another counter staff helped us order with her instead of confirming with us. Another older male wait staff just shrug us off whenever. Still, one can try it and also leave room for other places.

Very nice chocolate and they make their own whipped cream. The pastries did not look good and churros looks from frozen so we didnt try. The chocolate was great

It's a place you can always trust if you want to have breakfast before starting the day or a quick dessert break while passing through La Ramla. It has a history of more than 125 years. Since it has a touristic reputation, finding a table may be a problem during crowded periods. Closed Sunday and Monday, closed between 1:45 pm and 5:00 pm on other days. Even though they are very busy, their staff tries to be very helpful and does not bother. It has an extensive menu. Overall, no matter what you choose, you're likely to be satisfied. I say give it a try.

We came here for breakfast on our first day and we had such a lovely time. All the staff ladies are extremely warm and welcoming, they immediately made us feel comfortable. We came here between 9-10 am and got seated immediately, this is a popular spot so we were glad we got a table right away. Everything we ordered tasted unique, fresh and reasonable. This will be my first stop when I return to Barcelona. The chocolate + cream + churro combination was heavenly.

The hot chocolate is the best that I have ever tried! It pairs wonderfully with churros. Yet the blueberry cheesecake falls short of expectation. It is quite moist and the blueberry is not blended in the cheesecake.

Our friend took us there as part of a small tour in Barcelona, it should be the first churros place in Barcelona and maybe also in Spain. The place itself was nice, old style, a lot of 50+ years old people, we like it. The service was also good, you don't need to wait long. After our first order they brought also the bill with, which was interesting and nice. When we did a second order, they brought the bill again already with an updated number. I liked the idea. We ordered different things also churroses with hot chocolate and also cacaolat. The churros portions were small, only 4 pieces with a lot of sugar on it, the test also was not so good. The hot chocolate portion was so big we had to order the second churros.

Came here for the hot chocolate and was not disappointed! The very huge helping of whipped cream was decadent and delicious. The crema catalana was smooth and crispy. Loved the old school vibe of the place. Reminded me of one of the oldest churro shops in Mexico. Local and traditional.

This is a really local canteen place to have a quick breakfast or snacks! Always have so much love to their chocolate and churros here! The chocolate is soooooo rich, and it almost like a dip texture! Obviously, you can dip your churros in too! It is sweet, and at the same time, the aftertaste is also rich, and you may find it a bit bittersweet!

Had my first churro and chocolate at Granja Viader, the oldest spot for this combo in Barcelona. The warm milk, churro and creama catalan were great. The actual dark chocolate for dipping was not, at least not to my expectations of what a hot chocolate should be. It was thick but tasted and had the consistency of flour. Again, this was my first try and I did not like it. Will try another place and see it it's any better or maybe that's the style here.

Such a traditional and beautiful place, I loved the aesthetic. You can taste the quality of the dairy products, very original flavors and excellent churros. The prices were very good as well.
