I hadn't been in 2 years and I was disappointed to find out they reduced the decorations! They took off all the cool mushrooms they once had and the cool ceiling. They now have an open air garden which is nice, but it no longer has the magic it once had with the previous owner. I went for a birthday cake and the velvet cake is pretty good. The staff was not the friendliest.

A friend invited me to Alice Garden after seeing an Instagram post about how magical the decorations supposedly are in their interior garden. Arriving there, they said that every Thursday evening, between 19:00-21:00 they organise a concert and a food buffet in the interior garden, for which we can pay an entrance fee of 10€. The idea sounded really good so we entered. First disappointment was the missing decorations in the garden; I don’t know how they are in the interior lounge, but outside it was nothing like marketed, more like found-on-the-street-furniture randomly placed and some old trash stored in the corners. This wouldn’t have been a big problem, but the waiters were just ignoring us most of the time and refuse to give us a menu each for the reason that they are short on menus (one page). So we decided to wait for the buffet, until realising it has become the next big disappointment because they were bringing just about 9 baby-sized portions at a time for more than 60 persons present in the garden and “releasing the drop” every 10 minutes in non reusable containers instead of an actual buffet. Because we were sitting in the back of the garden, after more than one hour of patience we managed to “catch” 2 bowls containing the 5-6 pieces of fusilli pasta which we ate with a toothpick, but unfortunately it was kinda tasting like rotten vegetables, so we became to scared to “hunt” another buffet delight, so we decided to order a dish from the menu, for a more fresh perspective and experience. After about four failed attempts of ordering ghost plates that came back with the answer “we don’t have that one” (again, from the one page menu), we had some very overpriced 1-square-centimetre-piece-of-salmon toasts that did not worth the waiting time. The only thing that was worth the bad service and food, and the reason we stayed there until 21:00 was the little concert, a girl singing electric piano and voice absolutely beautiful 😍. After the singer finished the show, we had to go and almost insist to pay, because no attendant wants to interact with you there.

Very cute themed restaurant. We were told upon entering that the inside was for coffee + dessert but if we wanted brunch, we’d have to go outside. We didn’t get coffee but if we did, I wouldn’t know if you have to order and pay for coffee then bring it out into the garden yourself and then order and pay for brunch once you get outside… I can just imagine how awesome the outdoor space would look at night with the lights on! We went at 1pm and it wasn’t busy. We ordered the smoked salmon bagel - loads of cream cheese and avocado and rocket and was very good. We also ordered the avocado and feta toast where they did not skimp out with the ingredients. It was a very good portion and tasty. Neither included a side and so it felt a little bit expensive but at the same time, we were full so can’t really complain about that. Overall, a generous portion, not the best but still very good food and cool atmosphere!

It was a place that I loved very much. I didn’t like the new look, which has changed quite a bit now. Desserts are also far from their old ways.

My friends booked a table at Alice Garden for my baby shower at 1pm today. After more than half hour waiting for to cook to arrive so that we could finally have brunch, we left and went to Zenith and this restaurant did save the day. Extremely disappointed, as the pictures are outdated, the decor is boring and not looking anything like the pictures on Google Maps. For anyone considering this place, save time and go to enjoy the brilliant range of brunch food and appreciate the friendliness of the staff at Zenith.

This is my favourite place in Barcelona. I love to sit here in the sun and calm down after a long day with some friends. The garden is idyllic for that and really a secret. I particularly recommend coming for brunch or aperitifs. You will feel warmly welcomed by the easy-going personnel. Perfect for taking a break in the city.

Coming from Barcelona and trying to take my friends to some place nice to eat, this was a really weird but pretty cool suprise. They place is super fairytale-like but the food is yummy (although sometimes a little messy looking (the quiche, for example, was monster sized and looked a little funny, although it was very tasty)) and the desserts are veeery good. Staff was also helpful and sweet, albeit a little shy :')

Perfect place with kids - amazing decor in Alice in Wonderland style. The food is delicious - brunch style with quiche, eggs and ever delish burgers. Very good natural juice for the kids, and beer & wine for parents. The kids area is great. Its safe and there is a little corner under the stairs where they can hide and play. I strongly recommend it. Only minus completly independant from the actual place was the young hipsters using the kids area as a cool teleworking space and asking us the keep the kids voice down because they had to work.

The place is really beautiful, one of my absolute favourites in the city. The garden at the back is stunning, specially at night with all the lights. They also organise all kinds of events (live music, flea markets, fashion shows, etc.). The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is that they only have one or two waiters for most of the day (although they are super nice!), so the service can be a bit slow (understandably) and you have to pay at the entrance. Other than that, it's really GREAT.

The secret garden is really awesome. The scorching hot day made it hard to enjoy sitting outside, but it was worth it. Next time I come to Barcelona, I’ll make sure to visit in the evening, I’m sure a drink or two will make it feel I really went down the rabbit hole 🐇

This is a wonderful place where you can sit and have a great time. Whenever I am there , there usually is music from the 80s. On Friday nights you see couple there, different groups, social meetings. The thing with Alice’s Secret garden are the prices. You may pay for four items around 20 euros. There is a garden deep inside the building, imposible to see from the outside. Thus the ‘secret’ garden. But again, the prices in that section are high. You may get a beer for 6 euros or so. And above all, inside the bar the volume of the music is a little above average. This means that you and your friends will have difficulties hearing one another when chatting. Overall, it is a pleasurable experience. You get wooden furniture, soft seats, beautiful design.

There is basically no service, it is self service, not even sure why they have waiters/waitresses. We got cakes, pistachio and Lotus, both tasted very good. The chocolate cake of pistachio one was very nicely flavoured, making it more of a chocolate cake with pistachio flavour rather than a pistachio cake. Lotus cake was nicely flavoured, the texture of the cake was a bit hard, but not stale.

Walk into Alice in the wonderland film setting. Amazing garden. Good food. That day the choice of cakes was limited unfortunately. I'm personally not too fond of self service- go to the bar, order, pay... A must visit place as it's really unique.

Beautiful place with a secret garden just few minutes away from Placa de Catalunya. Walking in from the street it may appears like a normal bar/cafe (you see plenty of them in Barcelona) but if you go trough the building until the backyard you will discover their amazing outdoor garden. Everything is inspired by the movie “Alice in Wonderland”, the atmosphere is a sort of magical feeling that you’re not in Barcelona anymore. We went there with no reservation but the bar is really big, there are several tables outside and inside as well. Visit this cafe is really recommended!

It's such a cute place to just get out of the busyness of the city. Cute little garden and lovely cake, cocktails, and snacks. Also, it's a great place to do some work inside as it's much quieter and really cosy.

I have nothing but compliments about the restaurant. I was able to book for my birthday and I felt at home. A cozy atmosphere, beautifully decorated, attentive and friendly staff, great drinks and fair prices.

What a beautiful bar! The terrace is magical, it's very big so there are always seats which is rare in Barcelona. I love the music they play, it is Motown & Soul which you never find in Barcelona, it is very relaxing and uplifting at the same time. Inside is very cosy and a warm atmosphere. I have never eaten but I also come here for a coffee or a few drinks. I visited last night on a Thursday evening and they had a live singer perform, it was great! Barcelona is really missing this, for live music it is hard to find apart from Irish bar so thank you!
