Our favourite lunch place during our whole time in Barcelona! We came here on a Friday lunchtime and loved it so much that we booked for the same time the next day. Our first time we had larger meals, the Vietnamese rolls combo was amazing as was the All Day Breakfast. The Apple & Mint juice was also delicious. The second time we chose some tapas, all of which were amazing (the Konjac rings were something I’d never tried before and I loved them). The staff were also very friendly too, especially Carlos who is one of the owners and served us both times, even giving recommendations of things to do after. Definitely coming back here next time we’re in the city!

I didn’t have a reservation and it was pretty busy but they were super helpful and found me a table. The lasagne was probably the best I’ve ever had, huge portion and the cheese melted so nicely (unlike a lot of vegan cheeses, that are sticky). The price is also fair considering the amount of food you get! As if all of this wasn’t enough to give a place 5 stars, I ran into the members of one of my favourite bands while I was there, so another reason why CactusCat will always have a special place in my heart. First was the courgette soup with seeds. Extremely tasty and accompanied by wonderfully crispy bread. This was followed by fideau. I’d never had it before and was blown away by the flavours and textures. The avocado aioli stirred through the pasta, mushrooms. asparagus and peppers creates a rich, deep flavoured dish, sensational. The waiter was happy to discuss the history of and the chef’s relationship to the dish. I even went out and bought the specific pasta used in an effort to recreate the dish. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed her all day breakfast. A huge plate of goodness, the tamari mushrooms were especially good. For dessert we shared a chocolate muffin. To call it a muffin is selling it short. On top was a large helping of chocolate sauce and the size of the dessert was bigger than most restaurant’s cakes. The fact that it was sugar free makes you wonder why anyone bakes with sugar. When I am next in Barcelona I will be back to try the rest of the menu. A must visit restaurant.

Incredible!! Such a lovely venue. The two people running it were so helpful. The avocado toast was genuinely the best I’ve ever had!! Shame I’m only here for the day or I’d be back to try the rest of the menu! It’s a must visit!

This is one of my (vegan) favorites in Barcelona and come here often. The lasagna and fideua are out of this world and they serve great tapas too (bravas, croquettes, konjak rings). Real comfort food. Very friendly service and a real cozy feeling.
