LOVE LOVE LOVE this place!! We were thrilled we actually got in because it can get busy! The experience was unparalleled and this place deserves the hype. Despite it being highly rated there were tons of locals here because it is so good. Amazing cold tapas that were beautifully arranged and SO fresh and high quality. Wine lines the wall and it is standing room only- all part of the experience! Be sure to stop here!

I don't even know how to start describing this place... AMAZING, EXQUISITE, FANTASTIC!! let's start with the food , food its just spectacular amazing combination of flavors, ingredients. Atmosphere it's fantastic you feel like a local, sharing food, drinks conversation with other people, with the staff. Service is great, be ready to wait in line, like any other good restaurants in the world. Service is great , staff is so patient and knowledgeable on what you should order. The place is on my top 5 restaurants in the world. Can't recommend it enough.

I wanted to come here for 2 years. Every time I booked to come to Barcelona this restaurant was closed. They are only open 4 days a week. This year I decided to come an additional day just to be able to eat here. I brought my boyfriend as a surprise. The execution and level of attention is unprecedented. It is delicious and you can really tell that the staff are there to make sure you enjoy your experience. I grew up eating tinned food. This was truly an experience that I will come back for for years to come.

It's an experience! The tapas was actually a lot better than we expected. Vermouth was excellent, as were the sherries and wines. We ordered so much more than we planned! It is very busy and there is a time-limit, which is just fine. You don't come here for a quiet glass of wine and intimate conversations. It's for grabbing a bite and a sip in a lively and unique environment. Everyone working is amazing and crazy efficient! You won't regret a visit.

진짜 맛있습니다 ... 꼭 오세요 Those are incredible literally. First of all, the quimet quimet beer is totally nice. And the bread is soooo crispy but not solid!! Ingredients are super fresh. PERFECT DISHES EVER. Also who can't like the guy who work there? Thanks Quimet quimet. You made my day:)

Nice little place for Tapas. They have an interesting proposal of no chairs, so you'll either be standing by the bar, the counter or a high table. They have a good menu with a large variety of tapas and montaditos (small sandwiches). Everything that I tried was tasty. The whole bar is surrounded by shelves with wines and spirits. Choose what you like and enjoy. Service was also great, our waiter was friendly and efficient and another lady was constantly cleaning and collecting the empty dishes. Definitely worth a visit.

Incredible experience. Beautiful wine bar, no seats and many many tapas to try. Each one we tried was amazing. Our favourites were the oyster and caviar tapas on bread and the plate of anchovies on medlars: absolutely mind blowing.

Truly incredible, one of my top culinary experiences. I got two tapas (they allow half portion which is incredible if you’re solo traveling!) and 2 montaditos and was surprisingly full - had fully expected to get 6 plates. Great value paid $26 for an amazing meal!

It's a very busy place that serves artfully made tapas, with most of the seafood coming from the can. The setup and cuisine might not be for everybody, as it is a standing bar and you would really expect the place to get busy during the peak hours. Nonetheless, it was a great experience and the food, although not "fresh", was flavorful and great to go with a glass of wine.

Quimet & Quimet in Barcelona is a hidden gem. This small restaurant packs a big punch with its amazing tapas and wine selection. The food is a culinary delight, and the cozy atmosphere adds to the experience. If you visit during the middle of the week at lunchtime, you’ll find it’s not as busy as in the evening. Don’t be surprised if it’s a bit crowded after work hours, but the wait is worth every bite. A must-visit spot for tapas lovers in Barcelona!

Tapas here is of very high quality. The plating is well done and the tapas uses top ingredients from canned seafood. It’s a small local place and the only bad thing is there is a queue to enter. Other than that, the food is simply perfecto

Small, simple, friendly, delicious. This place is must visit when Barcelona. They only serve cold tapas, so to me it is more pre-lunch or pre-dinner, to enjoy some good aperitif accompanied with delicious small plates.

Great experience. The staff is amazing and the food is very interesting. But We don't forget the staff girl who said that Italian wine sucks!! I'm joking, only love for this place, see you next time in bcn 100%

My husband and I stopped in here for a few tapas. We started with the salmon yogurt and honey sandwich and the sea bream in olive oil which also came with peppers. Those were fantastic. Then we tried the mushroom cheese sandwich and the scallop onion and yogurt sandwich - was okay.

Deserves its place on the ‘must go’ lists. An incredible example of why the food of Spain is amongst the best in the world. Simple ingredients combined in surprising ways allowing you to enjoy foods you’ve never tried before or rediscover favorites in a whole new way. I didn’t try to choose food off the menu and just asked the waiter to bring me several dishes. He nailed it. I will be going back regularly.

Best food and wine in a long time. After waiting around 10-15 minutes to get a standing space, we ordered some wine and had the waiter choose our dishes for us. The wine and food was amazing. The tapas were delicious and were perfectly balanced with various flavours. Would give 6 stars if we could. Also extremely well priced. We had three glasses of wine and 5 tapas for 33 euro. Never seen value for money this good!

The food, the people, the vibe perfection. It's a tiny little tapas bar and it's standing only. You have to be quick and order fast and can't be timid or else you'd be waiting long for your food. Everything was good. Definitely check this out when you're in Barcelona.

Oh gosh! What to say? It's a tiny, standing-up-only spot with some of the most creative tapas and flavor combinations I've ever tasted. The two I was most surprised by are the salmon+soft cheese+honey and the loquat+soft cheese+anchovy. The cockles+soft cheese+flaked fish+squash(?) was also really well-made. The tomato+tuna+sea urchin+olive felt particularly traditionally Spanish, whereas the others were more Catalan-feeling/multi-ethnic. It was a terrific experience, and I want to come back because the dishes are so well-constructed!

It's been a while since we've visited Quimet & Quimet. Two years ago we came during summer - when it's closed for the season. This time we came before a cruise and it was open. Because of Covid-19 there was a time limit of 45 minutes (which they extended for us to 60 minutes because we kept ordering). This place is quite the famous spot. It's been on several TV Shows (most prominently probably with Anthony Bourdain as customer). And it's famous for a good reason: You will get the best Tapas you've ever had in this small place. It's been 8 years since our very first visit and it's still as great as the first time. It's a compact place and there are only tables to stand on, no sitting down. Without Covid-19 folks would drink and eat outside in the street, but not right now. Wine selection (also Cava, spirits and dessert wine) is huge and the prices small. The Tapas list is endless. And everything - really everything - we've ordered was amazing. There was not a single item which we didn't like. And the Tapas are so innovative and creative. The most unusual and exciting combinations. But they all work. Pics won't do it justice. Don't let yourself put off by the fact that pretty much everything comes out of cans and jars. The stuff here is top-notch Grade A quality. If there's one Tapas place to choose from in the whole of Spain, it this one here! And the staff/owners are fast! And not just fast: they are friendly and helpful as well, despite the fact that the place is fully packed. Order some classics like the Salmon with truffle honey. But also go for something you might not fall in love with when you read it on the menu. Try it, you might get surprised. I also loved the beef cheek very much. For a dessert, try the red orange flavoured wine! I could go on and on here, describing how great this place is. But why don't you stop by and find out for yourself? We'll be back....soon! Highly recommended.

    I. LOVE. Quimet Quimet! Their food was beyond delicious and their house beer was perfect for my meal as well. I wish I could eat here everyday for lunch and dinner! The guys behind the counter were so warm and friendly; I felt incredibly welcome.

Fun atmosphere (though standing room only) and great service. The menu includes a lot of canned and preserved fish and meat served cold and wasn’t really to my taste. The honey salmon was my favorite dish.
