I hate to reveal this hidden joint, cuz I’m more than sure that pretty soon it’ll become too crowded to enjoy my favorite brunches without advanced booking, but this place definitely deserves some attention of hipsters, wannabe hipsters and those who appreciate laid back atmosphere, good quality food and movie-like Sunday brunches. Eggs with shrimps and avocado, and their incredible pancakes and.. and all the rest is a must!! Bon appétite!

When a restaurant claims it features comfort food, I always have a bit of skepticism towards their product. It's easy to throw together a bunch of fat and carbs into dishes and mask poor quality. That's not the case at DooBop. After walking around Barcelona all morning, my girlfriend and I worked up an appetite, so seeing a place that features 'comfort food' sounded very promising. We started with their fried avocado as an appetizer. The sauce, onions, and breading were a perfect mix of tangy, sweet, and savory. We ordered the smoked salmon BLT and their chicken and waffles for the main course. The chicken and waffles is the best dish I've had in Europe to remind me of home. The breading was perfect, and the chicken was juicy. They know how to prep chicken and fry at the correct temperature to get that perfect mix of crunch and moisture. The syrup and jalapenos gave the dish an awesome sweet and spicy flavor. I'm not used to jalapenos on chicken and waffles, but it gave it a complexity not typically found in this dish. They nailed it. The salmon BLT had fresh salmon, and the bacon's texture was impeccable and not too oily. It gave the sandwich just enough crunch and didn't overpower the flavor of the salmon. For dessert, we had a slice of pecan pie that brought me straight back to Texas. The only thing that would have made it purely Texan would have been a scoop of Blue Bell Ice Cream instead of their fantastic in-house ice cream. The service was fantastic, and we got a nod from the chef in the back for the compliments. It's always nice to see humility coming from the kitchen. I hope they keep it up, and we'll be back the next time we come into Barcelona. Also, we're looking forward to the social media updates on when their gumbo will make a return. As good as the food was, I'll take a train ride into Barcelona just to try it.

The chicken burger was quite good, very nice flavors. On the other hand, one of the employees just seemed like they were tired of working, which can happen too many of us. But everything else was great!

That's my favorite dish and it's not easy to find it in Barcelona . 🍗The cajun fried chicken was awesome and the waffle was perfect too, made it one of the best I had so far. 🍔The burger meat was tasteful and the Bun was sweet. 🌮I liked the taste of the beef tacos, it was a bit spicy but flavourful 🥑The spicy avocado (5th picture) was a fried avocado in coconut cream. Pero la razón principal por la que vine a Doo Boo fue para probar su pollo frito con waffle y jarabe de arce. Ese es mi plato favorito y no es fácil encontrarlo en Barcelona. El pollo frito cajún era increíble y el gofre también era perfecto, lo convirtió en uno de los mejores que he probado hasta ahora. La carne de hamburguesa era agradable y jugosa y el bollo era dulce. Me gustó el sabor de los tacos de carne, era un poco picante pero sabroso. El aguacate picante (quinta foto) era un aguacate frito en crema de coco. This was a surprise. Stepping in to @doobop_bcn I had no idea what to await. And I was well surprised. Great refreshing dishes. The most delicious salads that had this very Hawaiian /Japanese touch. Followed by some real nice Mexican /American wings and waffles with fried shicken. It's a great stand out. The location is very refreshing and modern. We enjoid everything here so let's go and have some more. Comfort food in Barcelona? You got it. Nice atmosphere, good soundtrack and even better food. Dessert was lovely so don't skip it.

Stumbled into this place randomly while walking by about 2 summers ago, and I was so glad I did! The food, service and atmosphere were all amazing. I ordered a classic American dish, and what I got was like a more sophisticated version of what you would get at an American diner. It was one of those great meals you have while traveling that you often think back and wonder when you'll be able to eat there again.

Excellent food, service was very good too. We went with 2 children (7 & 9), and we all loved the food. The Po-Boy sandwich was just amazing!!! Definitely a must-go places!

My friends and I had a wonderful lunch at DooBop. The server was wonderful, friendly and very accommodating. We ordered the Cajun fried chicken, fried chicken tacos, shrimp tacos, chicken and waffles, margaritas, and a elder soda - all were great! We sat outside and there was a wonderful breeze which was icing on the cake. Definitely would return when we're back in town.
