It was so good here that I ate here twice in my 2 day visit in Barcelona. To me it's like homecooking. The waitress was very attentive, friendly and smiley. Without asking she gave me an extra lemon for my squid when she saw me squeezing out the last drops of my original one. The prices are not inflated like the other restaurants in the area. The vibe is casual but friendly. The location hidden but accessible. The locals hang here. It really is a hidden gem. The interior is warm and inviting, vintage style which I love. Their menu is only in Spanish with no pictures and the waitresses do not speak English which poses a problem to foreigners but it is an authentic experience. So on my second visit I prepared myself with pictures that I screenshot from the reviews of others and pointed to them to the waitress. So much easier. My first meal was the lunch menu. Reasonable at 14 euros something with entree, main and dessert. The salad was fresh with an amazing dressing. The stew was melt in your mouth. The dessert tasted delicious and not too sweet. On my second visit, for a brunch, I tried the tapas. I ordered the fried squid (soft and bouncy) and the potato tortilla served with slices of bread slathered with the juice of the tomato and sprinkled with just enough salt to enhance the flavour. I particularly loved the tortilla. Goodness I was in heaven. It was perfecto! Fluffy and you could taste the earthy potatoes. The expresso was also nice and strong not watery which some places do. Highly recommened to all! I would give more stars if I could. Must visit before leaving Barcelona.

I had an enjoyable menu del dia here! First course came with a gazpacho and buckwheat cream parmesan pasta. Personally not a fan of gazpacho so i cant comment on that but i did enjoy having a healthy and homely buckwheat pasta. For the second course, we ordered a sea bass and chicken/pork schnitzel. The sea bass was nicely grilled but there was too much bones! so it made it difficult to eat. The schnitzel on the other hand had cheese oozing out of it so it was definitely enjoyable. Dessert choices were decent, nothing spectacular. Nonetheless would recommend you to try this place! Turns out that there is a different menu del dia every day so that you won’t be bored of eating here!

This restaurant is quite old and preferred by locals, too. They have quite small restaurant but service is fast and waiters are just great. We ordered Tapas menu which included 10 different tapas plates and half liters of wine or beer but it is really large menu and it is 17,95 EUR.We could not finish all 🙄Foods are very delicious and therefore we went there following day again.I would definitely recommend to have real tapas tasting and with good wine. Ps.you may need to reserve a table on friday6and Saturday evenings..

Good for lunch. Traditional Spanish restaurant with fair price. The entrecôte is great 😁 and other food, too. Card only in katalan 😁. Fair price. You should reserve.

Happy to be squeezed in despite not having a reservation. This place has changed a lot since we last visited over 2 years ago. Much smaller now but still as lovely. The food was as amazing as ever, with a beautiful sausage salad for myself and a stuffed courgette for the wife, followed up with us both plumping for chicken on top of escalivada. Our LO's had penne with ragu which went down very well.

Busy little cozy diner. Good value for money. We had 5 tapas and a set lunch plus drinks. We enjoyed the calamares a la Andaluza ( fried calamari) and choricitos a la Sidra ( little sausages). The daily lunch menu was excellent with gabanzos salteados a la catalana ( chickpeas with sausage) and milanesa de ternera con patatas ( veal with fries). Flan for dessert which was perfect in sweetness!

We came to Elisabets because of the great reviews and wanted to try some good local food. We had to wait since we didn't have a reservation and everything was already booked but the food didn't disappoint and overall it was a great experience. I would definitely go back.

Perfect little hole-in-the-wall spot to grab breakfast or lunch. It's definitely where all the locals go so everything on the menu was incredible. We ate to our hearts content before heading out for some exploring. Worth a stop in!

Love!!! Rainy Friday morning , my last full day in Barcelona. Was looking for a breakfast place close to my Airbnb and gave this place a shot ! Zero regrets. Owners/host very kind and friendly . No English menu! And that is A-Ok. I got the Montanes bocadillo and the croquettes tapas. Place started filling up with literally all locals. I really enjoyed my experience! Cafe con leche, montanes, and croquettes out the door at €10.80!

Service and food are okay, not super. The waiter served food in slow pace and could not attend to me immediately. When I asked for my food to be packed, they missed to give out the sauce which was reason better food taste. The good catch is that it is cheap! I think I spent around 12eur for patatas, calamares, sardines and beer :)

Found this place on TripAdvisor hoping to avoid tourist trap restaurants in Barcelona. The place has a really quirky feel and is decorated with vintage electronic equipment on the walls! It does have a bit of a musty smell at first, but it passes! You know it's a local place (which is what we wanted) when they don't have an English menu, but the waiter patiently explained it in English for us. The food was very good, and reasonably priced. I would recommend this place if you want to avoid tourist trap food!

Came here on a Thursday night. It was not crowded at all. Ordered different tapas and cava. Everything was delicious and the service was stellar. If you come, spend some time interacting with the workers there. They were super kind and offered great recommendations. The price was a little on the high end for the portions, but the quality was fresh. Really enjoyed our time!

The food is a good representative of a local cuisine. There are just better places with more intense, flavour-packed food. Also if you do not speak Spanish or Catalan you might have some interesting experience of exploring the menu.

Amazing place. It is the best meal we had in whole Barcelona, honestly. Food is so tasty and you can feel it is made woth love. It is the kind of homemade kitchen that brings you back to family memeories and authenticity. It is a must to reserve otherwise it is hard to find place. I would to come back more oftner and try the daily dished they prepare. Thank you !
