A small resort set right in the middle of Sonajhuri. The place is okay, but if you go by the price they charge for the rooms, it is definitely overrated. The rooms are extremely small. There is barely any place for moving around in the room. Although they do have all the amenities like TV, AC, geyser, due to the lack of space, the stay wasn't really comfortable. The attached balconies with each room is a really nice touch. The food at their restaurant is really good. We had breakfast on both days, lunch on the second day and dinner on the first day. Apart from the dinner the quality of food was up to the mark on each occasion. Overall, it was a modest stay.

Location is perfect and food is very delicious. The place is just inside Sonajhuri forest , a few seconds distance from Sonajhuri Haat. But the rooms in the first floor are too small, congested and of low maintainance. I would suggest to book the upper floor rooms as they are of better quality specially if You Come with a Family.Needs proper maintainance and cleansiness. But You can get the facility of evening baul folk songs giving proper Shantiniketan vibes.

"A home away from your home"... You would love to stay. Best place to stay at sonajhuri. Just beside the hat. Awesome food. Ask for 1st floor rooms.

Visited here last month.... Now I am writing after checking out... 1. Rooms are not worth its price. 2. They dont even provide almirah in room. 3. Food quality is good. 4. Services are not upto the mark. (I asked for tea 5-6 times but they did not bother to serve.) 5. On the day of check out I requested them to serve breakfast at 8 AM (We had train to catch), to which they agreed at first but behaved rudely when requested to be quick at around 8.30 AM. (I suppose 8 AM is not too early for breakfast.) The management of Roshnai should understand the following; 1. People prefer Roshnai after Shakunta and Ram Shyam, hence, they try should provide better services than them so that guests check-out happily and spread their appreciation by word of mouth. 2. Let them not pretend like hungry sharks (in terms of extracting money from customers) on the weekends... I know everyone does that, but any exception from such practice can be USP for the other. So to conclude, I would like to say that its just an ordinary hotel at a good location with dynamic pricing policy (People pays premium just for the location). Services are ordinary as well.

Let me start with the location of this resort. It's situated just at the place where the famous Saturday-Sunday Khoyai Haat takes place. So expect this place to be crowded and happening. If you want to stay in peace and a little seclusion, this is not the right place. The resort is not very big one but it's neat and cozy atmosphere made it interesting as a living place for tourists. Room size is standard with standard amenities. Room service is good and prompt even at the peak days! Try to book the first floor rooms instead of ground floor. To be mentioned specially is - their food! We have tasted non-veg mutton thali on the first day and it made all the impression! With all other veg items which tasted really good,the mutton was incomparably good! In buffet breakfast, the menu was limited but quality was very good. We have tasted noodles, roti and paneer too which was yummy! We didn't need to go anywhere to search for good food. Moreover, the tea in earthen pot was great! A good place to stay with family and friends within budget.

A small little resort near Sanibarer Hat for budget travelers. Rooms are small for a standard hotel. Cleanliness needs to be improved. Especially, the wash rooms are literally tiny. But, the food is awesome. They serve Veg Thali for ₹ 120/-, and it includes everything that you may ask for in a traditional Bengali Thali. Haven't tried their meat dishes, but appears to be of good quality. Resort staff are very helpful and always serve with a smile. One observation that may stop me from visiting this place again is their lack of guest verification. Apparently, if you book online, they'll allow you to stay even without proper identity verification. During our stay, there was a group of young men & women were staying there. And, during the first evening, we saw a lot of ruckus between them. Finally, we had to tell the hotel staff to control the group so that we get a little peace. It came to our notice then that the identity of the group people were not verified during check-in.

Good place to stay with family and friends. Nicely maintained and well behaved staff. Advantage is that we'll known hat is just few steps away from this place. Maximum tourist places are near to resort. You will get toto for ride. Food is also good.

The place is undoubtedly very beautiful, it feels lovely to be in nature's lap. Rooms n the whole indoor and outdoor decor has been done like village . But there r few drawbacks. The staff is well behaved but not very prompt in action, the whole place becomes active after 8am.,which becomes a disadvantage on the comeback day if train is scheduled in the noon or if u have a toddler with u, or for site seeing if u need to go out early..in all these cases they r late for breakfast/lunch..n that's a big problem. Other than that ideal place to take a break far from the maddening crowd of the cities. Would like to visit again n stay there.

Very Nice environment and food quality.. Taste of food is amazing.. not too rich food but amazing, the food tastes like home-cooked one. Hygenic as well.. Plate Decoration seemed really beautiful to me. Definitely would recommend everyone.. I would visit again for sure.
