I had a very comfortable 6-day stay at Kristi Guest House in Feb 2022. The location is great for commute. Bang on Shyambati. My room had a spacious balcony overlooking the main road, and though a bit noisy during the day, it did not matter to me as I was out during the major part of the day. The room was cosy, the bathroom spacious, and the staff helpful. I did not each much there, but basic Indian food is good. Plus, I got a discount for my extended stay. As a single woman traveller I found it safe and convenient. Would go back again.

On 29th Oct’2022, I went to Shantiniketan with my mother for a mini weekend trip. After my google, goibibo etc research, I came to know about this stay. Finally had a one day stay at Kristi Guest House. Here goes my detailed review- LOCATION- Located 4Km away from Bolpur railway station, in between Chatim tala (University campus gate) and Sonajhuri forest. In the morning one can easily visit the university campus by walking from  the hotel. STAFFS- Mr. Swapan Kumar Ghosh is the manager of Kristi guest house. A very decent, humble, soft spoken and welcoming person. The other support staffs are equally good. ROOMS- I booked the Standard AC double bed room (Room no.101) in ground floor for 1450/- including GST and Complimentary breakfast. (Geyser facility). I booked directly through the contact number given on their website. I was already informed that this room is very small. But I did not have any problem as most of the time I will be out. So I opted for it. This room charge is followed by room that charges 1900/- with facilities remaining the same. The high range rooms have personal balcony. And there is also one suite type room. FOOD- I had dinner from their kitchen. They have an extensive menu with justifying price. We ordered chicken kasha and roti which was very tasty. For complimentary breakfast they gave us a choice. We ordered luchi torkari which was again very tasty. In short, we had a perfect stay over here. And highly recommended based on accessibility and location wise.

Was a nice experience to be there. The location of the guest house is proper. Their rooms are clean and well arranged. Most importantly, the service was very good. Food quality could be a bit better. Manager is very Helpful. Overall good experience !

This was our second visit to Kristi guest house and we are always happy to stay at this place whenever we visit Bolpur. Rooms are quite good , spacious and the staff are always at prompt service. Overall it's a good place for couple as well as family visit .

Room service was good. Food quality is also very good. Overall nice experience but the rooms are not worth of the price. The fare is high as per the rooms.

This was our first time in Shantiniketan. We came here with senior citizens. Kristi guest house is very good in terms of cleanliness and hospitality. Also the tourist spots are at close proximities. Recommended. :)

If you are looking for a stay from where you can easily access Sonajhuri Haat, Visva Bharati University and local Market , then Kristi Guest House is a great option. It is budget friendly guest house with spacious room and specially friendly behaviour of the staffs. I would request management to provide few more toiletries .

Praiseworthy stay at Santiniketan in Kristi Guest House . It is well connected with the main tourist attractions nearby . Good hospitality, delicious foods , staff behaviour and good management are the key point of this guest house . Tour Mongers automatic choice will be this . .

Our stay in this hotel was great. Very clean rooms, service is good, they have in-house restaurant and the food tastes really good, also reasonable pricing. The location is nearer to the tourist spots but a bit far from Bolpur railway station. Overall, a very nice experience.

The room we stayed was a 4bed Duluxe room sufficient and fine for 5 people. The floors and Bathroom was also clean. We received kind behaviour from them. Did not lack facilities. But Only the food was a step beside, but the accomodations and staying was really good. Hopefully, we will visit again!

The hotel is totally value for money. Stuffs are very welcoming and helpful. Service and food quality is up to the mark.The only issue we faced is that bed was not well maintained and very noisy, apart from that we really appreciate the place.

Very Nice budget friendly hotel in shantiniketan. Nice location and all visiting places are very near from the hotel. Food quality is very good. The behaviour of the manager Abhijit is very fine.

Spend two nights here! Such a wonderful experience. Rooms are clean and well maintained Bathrooms are also clean. Rooms available according to the budget. All stuffs are well mannered. Location of this guest house is in shaymbati area and very near to the sonajhuri hat and also near from biswabharati University. Place is quite no unnecessary sound here...very calm place and fully secured. Last but not the least food quality is awesome. Super tasty food and healthy also. Room rent is slightly high but according to the service it is good I think. Totally appreciated with the service provided.😄

It was a great experience to stay there. Staffs are so kind and their behaviour was really good. The rooms were very clean and hygienic. They maintain it really well.

Rooms and services was nice.. But please eat foods from outside.. Or else you have to cost your arm and leg... In the hotel menu one plate alu bhaja was 50 rupees and tea was near about 30

We didn't stay here .Just went once for having lunch .We took veg thali worth Rs 120 , And my god that was some great food .It was lip smacking .They provided rice , Dal , pickle , salad , papad , 2 type of vegetable gravy ,Begun Bhaja and Tok doi in that thali .And every item was very tasty .Will definitely visit again . 😅♥️

Pros - 1. Location wise it is very good. Situated at prime location. 2. Rooms are neat and clean. 3. Staff behaviour is good. Cons - 1. Food quality is average. 2. Exact same menu were served for our two days lunch. However, Chinese items were better. 3. AC rooms are not that spacious compared to the price.

I was there for one day(18/02/23). From manager to all other people everyone is very professional and give us the best room for 4 people. There is a small set up of room service and restaurant. They serve delicious food. Great Service Keep it up. 💯

A nice place to stay in Shantinikatan. Road side rooms are very nice. Behavior of the staff members are cordial. Range between Rs.1500 to Rs.2500.

A nicely located fine guest house to stay and stroll around Santiniketan is very convenient, Shyambati canal and Shyambati bazaar at the door either side, Sonajhuri haat within 3-4 minutes walking, Biswabharati, Kopai river, Prantik, Kankalitala, all are nearby. Staffs are well-mannered, food quality good, cleaned rooms. Personally, I like this place to stay.

It was a nice stay at KGH. Room was clean, balcony was great. The foods were excellent along with room service. Mr. Swaroop was very cooperative.

This was our first Shantiniketan visit over an extended weekend of Independence Day. Quite naturally, if you don't book an accomodation in advance it's difficult to get a decent stay during the public holidays. Kristi Guest House was the only option we had in the vincity of Shantiniketan in Prantik's Shyambati area. It was a nice cosy lodge with pocket friendly tariffs with AC facility. However, the rooms we got were claustrophobic without any proper windows. You can upgrade to better rooms with higher tariff charges. Overall, it's a good place if you have plans to stay and explore the Shantiniketan area. It also lies somewhat in the middle of Shantiniketan and Sonajhuri, the top spots for the tourists visits.

My experience is not so good, the room was too small there is no chair in the room to sit. We were charged Rs 1250/night, but the facilities available were not up to the mark My room number was 202 AC . Please avoid the room.

Rooms are not airey. Facility not good as expected. Provided only a toilet soap as toilet kit. Took long time to serve lunch. Same lunch rice was served during dinner without worming. Location is good.

Kristi Guest House is situated at the perfect location. The deer Park is a 2min walk and the guest house is located in Shyambati bazar. The rooms are clean, big and we chose the one with a huge balcony. The staff is hospitable and the food also suits your bengali appetite. The owner had arranged toto(auto) for us to roam around shantiniketan in reasonable prices. Would definitely stay here the next time.

It is good hotel to stay comfortably. Every stuffs' behaviour is extremely cooperative. They all are sincere to help the boarder in every way. Manager Swarup Da ,Babu ,Tapas and others' involvement are so friendly that we enjoying every time the homely atmosphere in this esteemed place. Located at shyambati, just 20-25 mins toto ride from bolpur shantiniketan railway station. Its a decent hotel where you also can dine in. What we liked -The service was excellent. -Staffs are extremely friendly and helpful. - The food . Quality and quantity wise is very good. -Location is also good as there is a toto stand just 30 meter distance fron the guest house. - Rooms were clean. What we didn't like -The bathroom was not so well maintained. -Room rates are little high ,though managable.
