Very clean and newly developed tourist place for santiniketan lovers. But government should elaborate more about fossils. Till now there is no ticketing system. Completely free. Also near by people can do picnic outside the park.

It is located at Sriniketan Illambazar road, it's stands out as one of highly recommend resort. Staff behaviour very nice and friendly atmosphere. Food quilty good. They keep your privacy and make it a remember weekend holiday. All kinds of transportation facility available here. Sonajhuri hat set more then 2 km from this resort. Bar 🍻facility also here which is amazing. Set 3 km from Ballavpur Wildlife Sanctuary, this laid-back hotel is 4 km from Nandan Art Museum and Gallery, and 5 km from Bolpur Shantiniketan railway station.

We have been here twice. Wonderful experience, the more I appreciate the less it is! Neatly maintained gardens, lawns and surroundings - very clean rooms and restaurant. Peaceful surroundings. The food served was awesome in terms of freshness, quality, taste and quantity. The management is super cooperative and very hospitable. If you are a party buff then this is not a place where you wanna get stuck - however if you enjoy peace, quiet and tranquil environments then I cannot recommend this more! Cost of rooms and food is also justified. There is a badminton court (the management will provide you with the rackets and feathers) and circular track (which I use to run).

The food quality is just disgusting! Overtly priced... And most importantly very unprofessional untrained rude waiters. Not at all recommended for food or stay. Instead way a bit further and u may explore good food and stay...

Nice place to stay near Sonajhuri hat and Khoai. It is situated near Amar Kuthir complex. It has large area with plenty of greenery. A pond is there in middle of the property and there is a fountain in the middle of the pond. Different types of cottages are available. All are airconditioned. Dinning hall is very good. Staffs are very polite and friendly. Ample parking space available. Nice place to spend a weekend there.

To know about trees & other trees who became fossil this place is amazing located in the heart of Illambazar Jungle.

It was a nice experience, fossils were good but those are not well protected, the park is a little far from the main road, transport facilities should improve and also there are no restaurants or shops nearby.

A unique place to visit to see the wood fossils which is one of the four parks situated in whole india.

This place has recently received a lot of attraction due to its unique natural findings, the wood fossils. Tourists should not expect too much here regarding shops and other facilities. The collection of medicinal plants inside is a very good try to enhance the variation of this place but there are few plants are not in place and one or two are wrongly indicated in the name plates.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER !!! I have stayed in Santabitan Tourist Lodge many times, which is 1000 times better than this. This was my first and last time in this Disgusting place !! Room quality was very poor, no maintenance at all, bathroom was extremely dirty, the AC didn't work and the fan was barely moving. But the worst thing was the Customer Service. The manager and the lady at the reception were extremely rude and uncooperative. On the first day, the lady at the reception misbehaved with me. For a simple cup of tea they act as if I have asked for their life. They have a stupid excuse for everything and no solution for anything. All in all none of your requests or requirements will be taken into consider. It is better to bang your head on the wall than have any expectation of them serving the customer. If I could have given a negative rating I would have. Earnestly requesting everyone to not waste there hard earned money on this worthless experience.

I never stayed in Kharimati hotel. So can not discuss here about the stay. But went there multiple times for dinner and snacks over last couple of years. The restaurant serves good quality of food within a reasonable price range. Initially they had only one open area for the outsiders to have lunch and dinner. They ambience is bit shady there. Now they have indoor restaurant also. And that is well lit. The drawbacks are - 1. The open area is now does not have that open view anymore. 2. The restaurant has normal furnitures. 3. Sometimes preparation time takes longer than expected. 4. Though they serves alcohol and not is cheap rate (as per the area), you won't be able to find much options in any of the alcohol segments.

A nice place to stay outside of Shantiniketan. It's in Sriniketan. Rooms are really good, spacious, clean toilet, services are really good, more than 100 rooms, ambition around hotel complex is too good. Car parking available, dining and bar is available.

For relaxing its a very good place, far away from the crowd but I feel rooms are a bit over priced. Food is good and authentic bengali lunch plate is too good.

I went to their restaurant-cum-bar for a beer. The place is terrible because it has excessive white lights and has a huge school classroom type layout with several similar looking tables & chairs set-up in rows. Absolutely no layout, no ambiance or theme based interiors. Gives out cold vibes and totally spoilt the mood to drink. They badly need a professional restaurant interior designer to redo the entire place and definitely reduce the number of tables and chairs.

An amazing resort cum restaurant which serves multicuisine menu to meet the tastebuds of every visitor. Especially known for their authentic and mouthwatering Bengali thali which includes rare recipes like 'muri ghonto', 'aloo posto' and so on. Fish and mutton thali are their best sellers. Apart from the aesthetic ambiance the food quality is also well enough. We had an issue with the mutton since we were too late to reach the place for lunch. Apart from it every dish was up to the mark.

There are only two places where you can drink booze in Bolpur. The first one is this place. The food and the ambience is quite decent, however the waiting time is more if you are sitting in the garden area of this hotel.

Overall a good property in nice location. Food quality is very good, but quantity would have been little more in some cases, for example, quantity of steamed rice is very minimal. Staffs are good in behaviour. But the management is very very poor. Number of staff is a few only. Only 4 boys are serving at restaurant and rooms simultaneously. Foods are not served at room which is also a minus point. But the most notable point is the management doesn’t maintain proper record of the guests and their Cars which is a big and risky issue.

This place is excellent. Surrounded by forest, near Amar Kutir, cordial staff, food quality is good but quantity can be improved. But guests should be careful about not making the bedsheets dirty... They charge huge fine if the bedsheets are damaged or dirty... Otherwise it is an absolute pleasure to stay here...

Excellent resort with all modern amenities in a natural/forest setting, very near Amar Kutir. Has good, large, clean rooms, sprawling gardens and lawns, a central lake with illuminated fountain, a badminton court, an orchid greenhouse, a small library, and ample parking space. Bicycles available for guests to borrow and ride. Secure place with CCTV cameras everywhere in the campus and 24-hour security personnel manning the gates. Complimentary breakfast is superb. Other food items/dishes are also very good in taste as well as quantity. Staff are very polite and helpful. Local folk dance and Baul songs arranged for guests for free during winter evenings. The generally clean toilet could be a bit better maintained though. Overall unique, memorable stay. Will visit again.

It's a govt setup reasonable and economic. Great place for nature lovers. Long joggers trail like five star hotel.Central pond with magical colour changing lights. Basically a resort made with personal interest taken by mamta banerjee the chief minister.

This is undoubtedly the best place to stay in shantiniketan.. as the pictures indicate it gives the essence of shantiniketan. Maintained by the govt of west bengal, the place is surrounded by trees. Located at the amar kutir road, the "laal matir poth" entrance to the hotel itself will gv u good vibes. The rooms are like cottages. There r different types of cottages each named after a novel by rabindranath tagore. There r duplex with four rooms, cottage with 2 rooms, deluxe cottages with single bed room and drawing room. The rooms have ac, geysers, room heaters and are clean. The only problem is the restaurant. U won't get a great variety of food there.. the options for breakfast is very much limited to either luchi aloordom or toast and eggs. For lunch or dinner u need to pre order the food. Snacks r also available for only a particular period of time after which even if u r dead hungry they can't provide u anything but the dinner. But if u can have the food from outside then rangabitan is the best place to be.

Stayed with family in one of the cottages named Kheya, room is overall good, 2 rooms with double air conditioners. Bathroom is small and amenities provided are of poor quality. Needs through repairs. WiFi is provided. Food is pretty costly and not tasty. Cleaning is done regularly. Quiet and calm place. Staffs are courteous and polite.

Very good park and well maintained. Located amidst the jungle in a village near Illambazar in Birbhum district. There are many fossil enhancing educational value to everyone whosoever visits the park with keen interest. The ambience is also very good and enjoyable. Fresh air is aplenty. Really good place brilliant for nature lovers. Most of the rooms are worth it. I have came at least 10 times here and almost no complaints about it. The food quality is really good. Best place to relax and sometimes to enjoy by going out. The location of the tourist complex is amazing. Also Shantiniketan is a great place.

Rooms and facilities were good.. The campus was very well maintained... Food is good.. Their complementary breakfast is not buffet unlike other govt established stays. Also thought bit Understaffed... Irrespective a very gud experience!

Spacious accommodation with all modern amenities. superb campus with a well maintained water body, badminton court and colourful flowers and foliage. Food is delicious and ample variety available. extremely well behaved staff. highly recommended.

Location is top class if someone wants to stay in contact with Nature. Very calm and peaceful, the property is situated inside Ballabhpur forest, 5kms away from Santiniketan. A large plot of land with lots of trees and greenary. A lotus pond surrounded by bungalows for the visitors. Well connected by roads, it is adjacent to Amar Kutir. But it needs serious initiative to enhance services provided to the visitors. A few experienced thoughts can change the whole approach towards that. Food is okay but needs some attention. Some efforts can change the trend of visitors going outside for eating. Maintenance is required regularly.

One of the best experience I have captured in west bengal tourism stays. Eminence is very good and staffs are too good.

Maybe it used to be good before, but at this price it's a waste right now. Only the exterior is beautiful, the rooms are not only unhygienic but also lacks basic amenities like clean bathrooms or floors or bedspreads. We were given extremely small rooms at the backside of the resort, and when we requested for a little bigger, at least clean rooms we were told there is no room available. The very next day the AC stopped working and they had to shift us to another room which was bigger and cleaner, so why harass the guests initially. No room service, food is also not upto the mark. Better to look for other options.

Waiters are very much unprofessional. Liquor is too much expensive. Order processing time is high. Food quality and taste is average as compare to the standard of the resort. Overall experience ~low/average.

One of the worst stay experiences in Shantiniketan. The way they have decorated the outside, if half the effort they would have put inside, it would have been different story. Perfect for drunkards. Eating and drinking in the same place. They should do something about it. Not recommended.

Currently staying in Kharimati Resort. Came here for our wedding anniversary. A double ac room costs 2k per day. As advertised, it should have included amenities like Tv, bathroom and obviously ac. To our surprise, the ac was not working at all. Even after 45 mins it didn't cool the room a bit. The tv too didn't have subscription and wasn't working at all. When we complained, they said people don't watch tv generally so they had cut the subscription. As the ac wasn't cooling at all we asked for change of room but the staff blatantly denied & accussed us of sabotaging the ac. The shower, the bidet wasn't working - all rusted and dirty. Is this how a resort is supposed to work. We have to end up paying 2k for a non ac room. They are masters at deceiving their customers. Don't waste your time n money here.

Was travelling from Asansol to to Berhampur, had heard of this hotel's superb food quality, bt today after eating ,thought I must give a genuine review abt it.. They serve the worst quality food.. Rice was not fresh, not even a single item in the thali was tasty.. chicken was raw, pui chorchori was tasteless, in mango chatni mango was uncooked.. Overall, I'll not recommended anyone to opt this hotel for having a Bengali authentic food.. Never gonna come here next time...

I stayed here for one night with my family, in a delux room. This is situated near Sriniketan.Thee are lot of cottages rent around 2000 plus . The property is spacious with big garden, badminton court and a pond. The garden is beautifully decorated with lot of plants including roses , orchids, etc. One can spend a peaceful weekend far from the noises of the city. The adjoining restaurant is properly equipped offering Indian and. Indochinese foods.

The foods are basic, we ordered few curry items and most of them were tossed in the same gravy. And they don't have much options of hard drinks. Over all experience was ok. Or you can say good.

Located amidst nature.... Far away from the crowd near Amarkutir... The renovated standard rooms were good.. Restaurant had limited options and fixed timings with the dinner closing at 10 p.m. Pros: Plenty of space with a pond, badminton court and a small children's park. The reception staff were helpful. The rooms were good within budget and with complementary breakfast. Cons: Limited menu option in the restaurant. Had a lot of insects. We even saw a snake.

Vast well maintained resort in the middle of the forest with courteous staff. The place is undergoing renovations, in fact the standard rooms where we stayed looks freshly renovated with modern fixtures and decor. Wasn't particularly impressed with the linens and towels; although they were clean, they appeared to have considerably aged.

Considering it being a government lodge, it was absolutely phenomenal. I've stayed in 5 star hotels like Hyatt, ITC and Marriott and compared to those hotels, it's room really fared well. They're new renovated rooms costing 2600 per night. Has modular bathrooms as well. Staff was polite as well. Highly recommended.

I went in 🌧️ day tress are also looks pretty beautiful. Lots of birds also you can see there. Only thing if you are having lunch or dinner please inform them early. The property is still in development. Their food is pretty good. Was given service at 12 in the night. So i would suggest it good overall.

Rooms are good at this price range. I wouldn't say those are excellent, but they are more than enough for two and even up to four people. (Changed to a cleaner and bigger room at the same price range) The restaurant is well above average. Quality of coocking is okay and quantity of each serving is really really good. The bar is also really well stocked ranging from low end to the moderately priced liquor, though the pricing is a bit on the high end for the range. During rush it can be a headache to get noticed if you are alone or a couple sitting at the restaurant. So my advice is to get your foods delivered to your room and order well before you want to eat. Room service is moderate nothing too extreme on either end of the good/bad spectrum. Also before choosing the room please see to it's cleanliness yourself, do not rely on hotel staff for that.

Excellent place for staying during a visit to Shantiniketan. Good housekeeping, excellent food, excellent service and hosting.

It's restaurant service is very very poor and there have no such managment. Food quality is not so good, but the tourist expect good quality food as this is related with Shantiniketan. Only attraction about the metal dishes, except this all are very normal. As a bengali food lover I'm not happy with their food quality and taste. When foreigner shall visit then the quality must needs to be improve.

We had been there to purchase some items from the shopping centre. Items purchased are very good, specially Ghee and pickles. Regarding location, visitors should be allowed to enter into the garden to enjoy it's beauty.

Nothing is right here. Tea can't be served, straightly they refuse and say we can't served tea,only when they think ,only this time they are availabe.Room takes so long to clean after check in j ghontar por ghonta reception e bosiye rakha hoy. Balcony room debe bole normal room dewa hoy. And remind that food never served at room
