The place is absolutely serene. Located at just 6 mins walkable distance from khoai haat or sonirbarer haat. Best place for those who look for peaceful ambience. Early morning walks in and around the campus is a fun thing to do. Rooms are well maintained, staffs are good. The hospitality of the owner is praiseworthy. Food is a bit high priced. Yet it's worth it if you are going with your parents or family. A few sample shots for your kind perusal.

The location is good and the rooms are quite average. Coming to the main concern, the caretakers are the rest of the staff are quite rude. They behave like they are doing you a favor by keeping you in their house. And even have the audacity to make snide remarks. My dad casually asked him if we could check out at 12 noon to which the caretaker snarkily replied "your checkout is at 11" When I asked for a match box, one of the staff tells me "I see you going out everyday but why don't you get a match box yourself" Really don't think this is how guests should be spoken to. If you care about having a wholesome feeling in Shantiniketan, then I wouldn't recommend this place.

Compared to the room tariff, the rooms are not up to the mark and not worth it. The food prices, quantity are unreasonable. The quality of the food is inconsistent and bad. 'Guest House' but the service from the staff was not good. The guest house lacked basic amenities like mugs and bottle openers. Not at all recommended.

I had booked 2 rooms on 06/03/2020 for 28/03/2020 by making full advance payment. But unfortunately due to covid-19 regulations everything was cancelled. I presume the guest house was closed for quiet a few months. They had promised to refund the booking amount once they re-open. But after contacting 2-3 times there was no response. I know it's more than 3 years now.. But if possible, please refund. Please provide a number to contact you

Rooms are ok. Service not so good. Food menu and cooking should improve. Very oily. Toilets are clean. Rooms are big. Nice garden. Lazy staff.

U must stay over here all the things are good and I specifically like their garden area it's a peaceful place in affordable price but the food prices are a bit too high but the food is good. Overall I would rate it 9/10 cause they had lizards in the room... Like we saw total 3 different lizards in our room...

We had visited Shantiniketan in the first week of September with a group of 11 adults. The cottages are spacious, neat, and clean. The location of the cottage is just back of the Sonajhuri Haat, five minutes walking distance to haat. The team members are cooperative and specially Mr Jayanata and Mr Ananda. The USP of the property is the vast garden and the fishing pond. The best time to visit is around winter to see the flowers blooming. The food is overpriced.

A quaint homely establishment with all the rustic charm afforded by its seclusion and breathtaking arrangements. The staff and the owner in particular are some of the most co-operative and amicable people you will ever meet. The food and accommodations are quite value for money. Overall a truly commendable choice of accommodation in the area.
