Good, homely food with less oil and masala added to it. We ordered Chicken, fish and egg thali. All the items in the thali were very tasty. If you love tasty and less oily food, this is a must visit.

I heard lot about this place in several food blogs and gloating reviews. But, it ended up as a case of "all that glitters is not gold". The fish thali and chicken thali arrived in large traditional bronze plates. Look-wise, absolutely social media worthy. However, when it came to taste, it was bland across all the dishes. It was amazing how did the place get some rave reviews. Also note that its a bar cum restaurant but the ambiance is not family friendly. While we were having our lunch, a commotion took place between a customer, high on alcohol, with the waiters. It was not nice with few families and kids around. I could see from their faces that they wanted to hurriedly finish off their lunch and get out of the place. If you are traveling with friends, may be this is your place for a quick booze and finger foods. If you are with family, you may avoid. I would have given 1 start had it not been the courteous staffs.

This is a good family hangout place. Lunch is good, try the thaalis rather than ordering solo dishes. The service isn't great and the place is going through renovation right now.

I read a review about this place that "All that glitters is not gold" and after visiting this place,I support that quote.This is a very overhyped place and I think the reason people recommend it is for the atmosphere but not for the food.The veg thali is at 220rs,Fish at 280rs or something like that,Chicken thali for 320rs and mutton for 400rs and for these prices, you will expect a good portion of tasty food but that is not the case,the food tastes bland and nothing special. But I would say that the servers are very nice and polite and the atmosphere is picture worthy. It also has a bar and a outdoor seating area.I would say that you can go if you want good pictures taken and want to enjoy the ambience with your friends but don't go if you are excited to have extraordinary food.

I stayed here with my brothers over a weekend. The hotel is nice. There are lots of open spaces to spend your leisure time. The main Bolpur market is about 3.5km away. If any need arises, take a toto to the market. There is a toto stand just outside. Coming to the hotel itself, rooms were clean. Bedsheets could have been cleaner. There is no intercom in the rooms and you need to get the mobile number of the attendant. But they have a lot to improve in their food and dining service. It takes a lot of time. A lot means a lot. And the food quality is not that great. Only a couple of attendants are serving a lot of guests. We also had our orders mixed up. Room service is not available for lunch and the restaurant is unable to handle the load of guests in peak time.

Don't go. I have been going for past 2 years. It is not family friendly restaurant or good for staying. Its over priced and more importantly they will give you bill of what you have not eat or drink. I had the opportunity to have lunch in this beautiful scenic resort while travelling. The place is really well maintained with great decor and ambience. The service by the resturant people is also great and helpful. The way they serve lunch is also great with ghee and in kasar thala...But if the taste of the food is average .

Scrumptious food, delicious. The aluposto is a must-try. The mutton thali is a famous and attractive meal of this restaurant. The mutton quality was also good. A place you must turn to, after the lal maati aftertaste at Shantiniketan.

Terrible. I have no idea how did this restaurant even feature on Google. Service in shambles, semi cooked meals and avg delivery time is 25 mns in case you aren't interested in routine Thaali's. I had ordered Prawn curry, Veg Pulao, Paneer Butter Masala and Lime Soda. So here's the ordeal we had faced. Prawn curry was undercooked, Veg Pulao had more Garam Masala in it and Lime Soda had no ice. So decide if you want to come here.

Food quality is not good as per the price they are charging. Chicken Bharta & Tikka butter masala was okay. But CHICKEN TANDOORI was horrible - they are charging 360/- Rs + tax. But the quantity is so less, no taste, no salad & green chutney has been provided with the Tandoori chicken. Naan was horrible too. Overall food quality rating - 4/10

Just by chance went to this restaurant to have lunch while returning from Shanti niketan. Found it to be full with people having fixed menu Thali either Mutton,or fish or veg. Just at 320 rs We.got Mutton thaali with 6 accompaniment and amount to your satisfaction. Nice and cosy restaurant under the trees and greenery all around a worth visiting place

I have been a regular visitor at your restaurant and i had arranged an important family dinner at your place yesterday. The arrangement was for 20 people and 4 children. I am writing this email to express my dissatisfaction with the experience we had. when I reached with my family at the restaurant, to my utter disappointment, the table was not reserved for 20 to 25 people and some of my guests had to wait for tables to be free. Furthermore, I had ordered 7 dishes with your famous fish item, but it was very disappointing last night as the taste was bland and fish was not fully cooked. The drinks arrived late when almost everyone finished their main courses. The waiters were not paying attention and we had to call them again and again for certain requirements. I inquired about you twice but unfortunately, you were not present at that time. I wanted to register my complaint to you right away so you may take some corrective measures. However, I want you to please consider this email as a formal complaint against the services I received and I want you to compensate me either fully or partially for the bill that I had paid. I look forward to your prompt response.

The place is okay. But we went around 4 and the food wasn't up to the level which I expected. Maybe they served us fast so the food was bad.

The plus point is you get steaming hot food but a downside is you won't get spicy restaurant type food . It's more like a home cooked meal and for me it's less than home cooked because foods are too light specially in the thalis. You'll get to see huge crowds in weekends and if you get there late then you'll get fewer options to order from the menu
