Located on top of the hill giving a top class view of the Udaipur City. Nothing horror or spooky, disappointing for someone looking for that kind of adventure. Rain water harvesting tank is installed, the water is then passed within the wall to keep the palace cool. Nice Engineering! Entry ticket is around 100 per person but you also got to pay for the vehicle you are travelling in. Road from the gate to palace is curvaceous and not well maintained though scenic. Drive carefully, rented vehicles may grunt uphill. Palace itself is neat and clean. Drinking water only available at one place near the palace gate, more of them are required. Not differently able friendly.

Truly loved the palace, I visited the palace in early monsoon and fell in love with the place. The road to the palace and the view from the top is seriously amazing and worth going. There was a soft drizzle of rain when I visited and it made everything look more beautiful ❤️ I tried banana cake and mixed fruit cake from the restaurant there and found it very delicious. It is costly compared to the market but the quality and flavour of the cake was worth it.

Well the sun was definitely having a moment that evening we visited. It was our most beautiful Udaipur sunset. The drive up also offers scenic views of the valley but the turns are a little sharp. There was a museum inside the fort, but you might as well skip it. But a definitely worth a visit for the sunset & bird's eye views of the city & the lakes! ✨

Best place to visit with family and friends. Top best place to visit in Udaipur is city palace. Tickets for Indian 300rs per person. Inside so beautiful hand painting you can see. It opens at 9:30 am and close at 5:30 pm tickets are closed for palace at 4:00 pm. Speaking and audio guides both are available.

An extraordinarily disappointing experience. The palace is currently undergoing major construction work. I'm not sure why they even bother letting tourists in at the moment. The palace itself is fairly run down. There are maybe ten mediocre wildlife displays and one display about the ruler who commissioned the palace. Definitely not worth the drive up to see. The view of the surrounding mountains is nice but there are not many good viewing points or photo opportunities. Mask wearing is not enforced (and very few people other than myself seemed interested in voluntarily wearing one) and it was quite crowded. Definitely avoid at all costs. Try back in five to ten years when the renovation is complete.

This fort is actually meant to its name, if it's monsoon season. This is beautiful. It is all about view. City looks beautiful from the fort. Nice road from biological park to fort. We have walked all the way and if you love tracking you can walk by the road and enjoy the scenery all around. Evening or early morning is best time to go

It's basically a scenic spot for viewing entire Udaipur from one single spot with superb Sunset view. Quite a few Langoors around so avoid carrying food in your hand or be a bit careful. There is a cafeteria as well but didn't try so can't say much about it. But as point was atop a hill, weather was pleasant in evening (even in March end summer). Entry fees is there with option of public transport to take you atop at additional charges. Entry is just next to zoo gate.

You can get a view of the whole city from here. Has a beautiful sunset so be sure to reach there at least an hour before evening. Different parts of the Palace have different views, the part with the sunset view had all the spots near railings occupied so go and grab it early. You can also get half a view of the sunset from the cafe sitting area (check attached picture). The cafe/restaurant isn't bad, but I will suggest avoiding it. The museum doesn't have much substance, you can skip it if you wish and just watch the sun set.

The place looks nice and there is no rush on weekdays. Best time to visit is evening during sunset. More than the place itself the ride to the place was enjoyable. The turns make the ride enjoyable. The roads near the fort are a bit broken. There is a cafe also inside the place. Uploaded photos for reference

Very beautiful palace situated on top of a hill. City view from this palace is mesmerizing. There is nothing much to see inside the palace. It is called as Monsoon palace because, to watch the monsoon clouds. Ride through he jungle to visit the palace is refreshing. Must recommended in Udaipur.

Amazing View and amazing ride there through the hilly paths. You can rent a bike or car whichever is your preference but the roads are well constructed but one should drive cautiously while climbing up and down 😁. The rental would cost around 500rs for bikes. It was more fun in the roads , up there greeted with great views and heritage. ❤️

Since its located on a small hill, and its surrounded by forest , the view from the top is mesmerizing. Actual palace is pretty small and does not have many stuff to see apart from the scenic view. It has a small Cafe in the premises. There is a zoo downhill near main entrance, though it's nothing special and can be skipped if you are in a hurry. From entrance its about few kilometers uphill journey to reach the castle , though there are public transportation options, I would suggest that you bring your own vehicle.

The palace is a little over rated... everything has a price... For PARKING it was written as 50 rs but during covid, its amended as 350 rs...so if you are looking to save unnecessary expenses, its better if u park outside and enter the palace on foot...i felt the palace parking is absolute waste of money because at the palace parking, its clearly written PARK AT YOUR OWN RISK...then 350 bucks is a waste...Government parkings are available at many locations...20 rs for three hours...search for govt parking, park the vehicle and take an auto...roads around palace are very narrow and vehicles get stuck in long traffic jams... RATE LIST for palace entry...its written 30 rs for entry then museum, boat rides, crystal palace and everything u can think of is highly extravagant... VINTAGE CAR MUSEUM and RESTAURANT are at another location (outside palace gates) Lots of shops available inside the palace...the items are priced according to tourists...double rates than local market...one odd souvenier you may purchase...photographers rent rajasthani dresses for photography...that is one good thing... GARDEN HOTEL menu i have uploaded...hard drinks are served... A one time experience...if u r planning within budget, park in govt facility and take only 30 rs entry fee...u vl explore many things... If u r a lavish traveller...you have many avenues to explore here :)

Best time to visit this place would be monsoon season. I went in Diwali Nov 2023. Weather was good but there was no such view more than udaipur town and hills. In palace there is nothing to do and see. Ticket cost Rs. 155 per person. Travel fare Rs.106 per person & R.59 per child from main gate (both side)

This palace is on a beautiful location at a hilltop. Visitor will enjoy most in the monsoon season as the name goes the Monsoon Palace. As the palace is incomplete in terms of interior . It is not similar to the luxurious city palace. But you will get to see a beautiful sunset from here.

The palace is located on a hill. The ticket counter is at the start of the hill. You can trek up the hill / take a private vehicle/ use public transport from the entry. Best is to use 2 wheelers (you can rent for a day at rs.300) , as its ticket costs only rs. 60. The view from the palace is beautiful. You get to see aravalli hills. Most of the palace was closed and there was nothing much to see inside.

Amazing property, it's the best destination if you want to stay away from the pollution, noise and traffic. Very beautiful property you can click good pictures. The food is awesome and hospitality is up to the mark. We stayed at Taj Lake Palace for 3 days and felt it's sufficient as this is a small and beautiful property and can explore everything within. You can click some amazing pictures. Must visit.

Awesome location for the best photos and scenery one can see. The palace is very beautiful and booking a guide is recommended to understand the history of Kings and Queens. Entry fee is average and guides tariff fee is quite reasonable. One of the best palace in Rajasthan and one must visit it .

Entry fees is lit bit high. If you want visit whole inside & outside city palace than fees according to Per person 330/- but if you visit only outside than you pay 30 /-. But seriously visit whole city palace. This is too beautiful in Udaipur city. Must visit when you visit Udaipur.❣️💫

Missed out on a great sunset point! Left early instead. A great fort with a history. Not to mention a gorgeous view of the city from the top. Something very calming about watching the city gently nestled among mountain ranges. Visit the place with your best of friends! Mind you, we went here in the winter. It gets windy. Make sure to wear appropriate clothing!

Beat time to visit is at morning and evening. There is a entry fee and you can also opt for taxi facility from down hill till palace.

There is small palace on the Mount in Udaipur. Awesome view from here. Pleasant atmosphere. I enjoyed the driving a car. It is little risky to Drive to Sajjangadh. Don't drive your own car your self if you don't have experience. Over all beautiful place to visit

Decent palace with beautiful paintings and sculptures. Takes about 2 hours to go through everything but it is worth the money and effort. Difficult to reach though from the city, lanes are narrow and traffic jams are frequent. Best is to park your car at a distance and walk the last mile.

The Monsoon Palace, also known as the Sajjan Garh Palace, is a hilltop palatial residence in the city of Udaipur, Rajasthan in India, overlooking the Fateh Sagar Lake. It is named Sajjangarh after Maharana Sajjan Singh (1874–1884) of the Mewar Dynasty, who it was built for in 1884. The palace offers a panoramic view of the city's lakes, palaces and surrounding countryside. It was built chiefly to watch the monsoon clouds; hence, appropriately, it is popularly known as Monsoon Palace.

A palace with impressive view of Udaipur City and experiencing sunset makes it memorable. Due to Covid no programs happening here! And in August end, Palace was undergoing Restoration so it makes less likable. Additionally, washrooms at this place wasn't clean! Regarding Resturant that is inside palace sells every item at double price e.g. ₹10 Kinley 500ml bottle sells for ₹50 ₹40 Packed Cold Drink e.g. Sprite Can sells for ₹70 Thus overall experience of this place is not good but journey for this palace is memorable due to spring road and height of the location from ground.

A must see place in Udaipur. The Palace is not much attraction but the ride to the palace is very good and thrilling. You can ride in your own car or can hire a car or two wheeler. Though I feel it is better and safer to go by car than two wheeler as the turns are very sharp and steep. The view from the top is very good. You can see the whole city from there. The sunset is something you should not miss from this point. If you go at the right time you can watch the beautiful sunset.

An amazing sunset experience. Roads upto the palace have steep turns and two wheeler is not Recommended if not a seasoned Driver in hills. Views here are breathtaking. Tickets are to be taken at the threshold of the hill. Plenty of monkeys around. Food is available at the palace restaurant, can be given a miss. WORTH VISITING👍👍👍

Sajjangarh fort in udaipur is a really good place to visit. It has an amazing view and it has a mini museum inside. The entry ticket was around 60 to 65 rupees.Since the palace is 5km inside from the entry gate, taking your own car would cost you 200rs and if u hire a car on sharing basis it would cost 95rs per person.you can get those cars on entry gate itself. Best view is during sunset

Palace is beautiful though not opulent, small eatery also there, not for a quick visit, stay for an hour or so and enjoy the sunset .. vehicle charges are more than the entry fee.. beware of monkeys, don’t feed them. Be sure to go upstairs, view is amazing, u can take pics without anyone in the background.. no smoking signs should be kept outdoors If there is time also visit the wildlife sanctuary next to the palace. If u know the history , u ll fully appreciate the place

This palace is highly commended if you haven't been there at least once. Go for enjoying sunset vibes at evening time. Reach there before 5 and or I could say 4.45. After that they stop giving entry tickets. We enjoyed a puppet show here. After that we played Garba here. Overall sunset scenes are really awesome. Don't miss this palace.

This palace is situated in a stunning hilltop location, offering a great view of Udaipur. We visited during Diwali in November 2023. Visitors will particularly enjoy the monsoon season, fittingly named the Monsoon Palace. Note that the palace's interior is incomplete. Nonetheless, you can witness a breathtaking sunset from this vantage point.

The Monsoon Palace is a beautiful destination in Udaipur, offering stunning views of the city and the Aravalli mountain ranges. However, reaching the palace requires traveling a distance from the bottom of the hill. Unfortunately, some drivers can be reckless, making the journey adventurous and potentially dangerous for travelers. Despite this, the palace is definitely worth visiting. The cool winds within the palace add to its charm.

A great place that gives a bird's eye view of the whole city. However, in the pandemic times, the place is too crowded and no norms of social distancing or use of masks is followed. The road up is hilly and steep and preferably an experienced driver should be sought in advance to avoid mishaps.

  • 5/5 AMIT S. 3 years ago on Google
Palace has a huge terrace like structure where one can enjoy breathtaking view of sunset... The palace is at very high altitude so, one can enjoy full view of Udaipur. There are only statues of wild animals are available in the palace but the place is worth visiting for the view.

The main attraction of the city is this palace. It's a must visit place. The whole site seeing takes around 2-4 hours depending upon how much photos you take :) the view from the top of palace is amazing, you can see the city from there. It's a really huge palace you might not understand how the structure is inside. You can get a guide from outside easily and they can explain each of the rooms and their values to the life of king and his queens. The biggest attraction inside the palace for me was shish mahal, a room with mirrors. It is wonderful. The palace is facing the lake pichola so you get a beautiful view of the lake as well.

Built on the banks of lake Pichola, the city palace in Udaipur is considered to be the largest complex in Udaipur. A huge palace with different places inside the palace itself like Mor Chowk and many more. Guide service is available for more information. Takes close to 3 hours to explore the entire palace. Handicraft shops are also located just outside the main palace.

For Indian citizens Rs 70 is the ticket price and for car parking, it is Rs 220. Road to the Palace is very steep and very curvilinear. Only skilled drivers should drive there. Views from the palace are mesmerizing. Palace is poorly retrofitted. Not a large Palace. You will need 15 minutes to look around.

One of the best sunset point as well as palace for photography , after whole day travelling you can go to visit this place to make your day perfect .. Just to make sure that they have palace, your personal bike/car/bus and digital/professional camera has different charges & ticket counter gets close on 5 PM and there is no any restaurant or anything seller to eat something ... Also some places of palace were under construction ..

Sajjangarh is also known by monsoon palace. it is situated at the top most peak of the nearby hills, the scene, beauty and the place is love. The whole Udaipur is visible from here. If you are lucky you can enjoy the cloud beneath you.

One of the most beautiful places in Udaipur, Breathtaking views. While I was there it rained and the cloud covered the Palace!! One can see the bird's eye view of the two beautiful lakes of Udaipur. They have a nice cafe and some really amazing view points. It's a must visit.

It is a hill top palace. One can take bikes for rent and ride up the hill top for a better experience. Cars are also allowed up. Nothing much about the palace itself except for great views of the city. The palace looks beautiful at nights with all the decorative lightings.

This is the place to be. You will get the complete view of Udaipur from here but the view can't be described in words. You need to feel it here. Presently (Aug-Sept) the weather is also very pleasant and we got the full maza of monsoon🌧️🌧️

  • 4/5 Young I. 2 years ago on Google
Amazing place amazing view but don't take your own car if you are not a experienced driver.

  • 5/5 Vasuki M. 2 years ago on Google
To begin with, the place is located on top of a mountain that's maintained by forest department. So you will have to pay entry fee of 90 rs per person and 275 rs for four wheelers. Then it's a 20 minutes climb up the mountain. You'd then did the palace. You can spend some time by clicking some beautiful pictures of nature and old architecture apart from that there's a small resturant but I did not try anything from there. Overall an amazing place for sunset spot as people rush in during that time to see the sunset. Must visit if you're traveling to udaipur for the first time!

  • 5/5 Jeet G. 2 years ago on Google
One of the best places to visit in Udaipur. Best time is to go around monsoon because of the scenic view one gets from high up. The palace itself doesn't have much uniqueness. It is the view that is worth going for. One has to pay for entry tickets at the main gate and can also buy tickets for a to and fro taxi service for going up and down the hill if required.

  • 4/5 Anuj S. 2 years ago on Google
Beautiful point which is located at high on top of a mountain. You can come by your own vehicle or better take a sharing ride run by the palace administration The charge is Rs.94 pp for to and fro. The palace ticket is Rs 90 pp

  • 4/5 bhavdip p. 2 years ago on Google
Guards here is very bad they only need money from tourists so be aware don't give anything except fees. Fees was 90rs per person and 45rs for two wheelers and 90 rs for car Please bring water bottles there they sell it at 70rs at top. Good palace with beautiful views on hills but in summer there is not much you can enjoy still at sunset you can enjoy the view.

  • 5/5 Bishwajit M. 2 years ago on Google
Here you can experience that the journey is beautiful than the destination. If you are on the bike then then definitely enjoy the road and scenic beauty. Try to go there either in the morning or evening. Must experience the sun rise or sunset there.

There was a soft drizzle of rain when I visited and it made everything look more beautiful ⛅️🫶💯 I tried banana cake and mixed fruit cake from the restaurant there and found it very delicious. It is costly compared to the market but the quality and flavour of the cake was worth it.

  • 4/5 Harshal R. 1 year ago on Google
Beautiful place to get a view of the entire city from the Palace. Built by the king to spend time during the monsoon months. The weather is cooler and windy than the city below. Around 5 kms uphill drive with some real steep slopes and hairpin bends. But the view and feeling on reaching the fort, is worth all the efforts. You can take your private car or rent a taxi from the entry gate.

  • 5/5 Krunal B. 10 months ago on Google

If you want to see the Majestic view of Udaipur then this is a must visit place. As situated on Hilltop you have a beautiful view of whole Udaipur and can have beautiful photos also.. Advise: Please take water bottle from below as there are no stalls on the hilltop. Winds flow with very high speed as it is on a high altitude, just an advise don't sit on corner walls as wind starts flowing at very high speed and there is a steep valley on other side of wall. History: It was built for Rain Water Harvesting and have very large tanks inside it which are obviously closed due to unknown reasons and had a capacity of about 1,95,000 litres of water, By looking at the size of Fort it looks like impossible to collect that much amount of water but people in history were doing it, its amazing and shameful for present people who dsnt understand the importance of every drop of water even after paying money for water in daily basis...

Sajjan Garh Fort or Monsoon Palace, on a hill, is located at the outskirts of Udaipur City and can be easily reached by road. An Entry Fee is charged per person alongwith Vehicle Fee/Parking Fee if one wish to take his/her motor vehicle up to the Fort. Else, one can travel, both ways, uphill to the Fort by Forest Department run pooled vehicles by paying fee per person. Photography is allowed at the Fort. The Fort present a beautiful aerial/panoramic view on all sides of the palace. Many water bodies/lakes of the Udaipur, particularly Fateh Sagar Lake can been seen with naked eyes. The palace is popular among tourists and locals and have reasonable good footfalls. There is also a restaurant, green grass lawns, courtyard and parking space. Do carry some drinking water, if not interested to avail restaurant service, during the trip there. A short depiction of earlier wildlife that is/was surrounding the Palace is presented to the visitors with large paintings of the Rulers are mounted on the walls with description, inside the permitted public accessible areas. One can hire taxi/cab/autorickshaw from Udaipur City to reach there at the palace.... advisable to hire them for return journey ( both going and coming). Otherwise, one may tie-up whole day trip for many places surrounding or inside Udaipur, including this Fort/Palace in the itinerary. Place is good for both family, group and solo trip.

This is a must visit place. You can take any two wheeler like Scooty till the Fort and easily walk to the fort. Entry charges is Rs 155 and parking 60rs. Ultimate view of the city. You can sit and look at the mesmerizing view that the Palace offers. There is a small cafe also for snacks etc.The ride from entry to fort is also enjoyable, as it offers views from different angle. Morning, Evening and rains may offer better views.

Good view of Udaipur from the palace and one of the major tourist attractions. Travelling up the fort you can take your vehicle or a local taxi which has a fixed price. Slopes are quite steep and narrow with multiple hair pin bends and could be a bit difficult, you need to be on smaller gears to drive up the hill. 35-40 mins is sufficient to visit the palace, take pictures before you can head back

  • 5/5 Swt S. 6 months ago on Google
Such a beautiful Palace to visit in monsoon!!! Views are next to the feeling of heaven 😍 There at the top you genuinely feel like you are in clouds!! The way to sajjangarh is pretty more adventurous and beautiful 😍 The entry fees per head is 155/- + the vehicle charge ! And also only 2 persons are allowed on two wheeler 🙏🏻

A palace located on a hilltop. You need to take tickets from the entrance. They'll allow your own vehicles inside, but require an extra ticket for that. There are view points on the way to the palace. Be careful with taking food items as monkeys are there on the top of the hills.
