Very maintained zoo. Recommend golf cart tour to save time. Try to visit early morning before 11 am or between 3 to 5 pm. Most of the animals rest inside the shed built for them or in the woods during afternoon and are hard to locate. You high chance of better sighting during recommended hours.

Wonderful experience... Wild animals.. good infrastructure... Safe and clean.. tiger & white tiger 🐅, lion 🦁, leopard 🐆, bear 🐻, crocodile 🐊, wolf 🐺, fox 🦊, deer 🦌, hippopotamus and many other animals .... Must visit with your kids .. located with wonderful views.. It is a nice place for a visit. Worth visiting if you have kids with you as there are lot of variety of herbivorous animals in the place and some carnivorous too. The place is well maintained and neat. Prefer hiring an electric rickshaw to cover the 1 km distance to the main entrance as walking the same distance might make you tired and you won't enjoy the place as much

We had a very nice visit to Sajjangarh Biological Park on the morning of 31st December. We started around 10am. The adult tickets cost Rs 37 and are obtained from the Park Ticket counter on the opposite gate. One can take a walking tour or one in the mini vans (costs Rs 400). The best part about the park is unlike a zoo animals are given natural open habitats as much as possible. We enjoyed walking through the guided tour in the winter morning and enjoying all the animals. Overall it is a fun ride and good for group with small kids as well. Place is very calm and peaceful.

Experience was good not great. This park needs maintenance which is not provided. So many animals are kept but not maintained. Dont know weather any routine check up Vet. would be done or not. We got lucky so got golf cart. Otherwise maximum are not working. Visit in early morning hours.

I went there with lot of hope so that i can make my child happy because he was bored seeing all forts and palaces. This park is not well maintained and conditions inside is very poor. Only good part is it cost Rs.42 per person.

The most beautiful and stunning view point of Udaipur for Sunset. One can go on the top and witness the sunset which is the most beautiful activity I feel. Make sure you go and make your place before hand on the roof and stick there so that people don't take it.

Its a Pleasant place to visit. Preferable time to visit is evening or early morning, since it is on height and during the day time you can feel a lot of heat. This place is a combination of history and adventure lovers. Just below the Palace, there are 2-3 trekking paths and one can go into nature. Trekking paths are also mentioned inside the palace. View is Spectacular during sunset. Do not expect much from the Palace. It looks more like a ruin but well maintained for tourists. This place is not so far from the city.

Missing here was also a wonderful experience. There are many creatures who are living their lives under the open sky without any imprisonment. These have been well kept in the Biodiversity Park. Sajjangarh Sanctuary is nearby. Which is why it's even safer. Walking here is a challenge in itself.Because it is spread over a very large area. That's why polo carts are available here. Which opens electrically and allows you to tour the entire park. Its price is Rs 472. 4-5 people in it sits easily But in the evening they allow only 3 people.Due to which we had trouble getting lost there. Because there were 6 of us.Over all the experience was good.

Don’t waste your time here… you’ll find few tiger, deer, bear and lion. A big no for senior citizens or people with knee/joints pain. Buggy is available at 472/-. Ticket price is 160. Not seen many people visiting here also..

Conclusion-1.

It was a bad experience to visit this park. There's a big issue. We have to buy tickets first outside or better say in front side of the main place. Then we go in the park by feet. Then there's another counter inside there. If it's winter you don't need to get worried and you can visit the whole park by feet if you're capable of walking almost one kilometer path around the hill top. But if you visit here in summer like what was my case, you can't walk in 42+ degree temperature and would need the electric car available there to walk you through the park letting you take pictures wherever you want. Now this is the issue. They have 8 to 10 cars but only run 3 cars at a time. Only when one car returns, new batch will be given authority to sit in. Car rent is Rs. 472/- and if you are alone or whole family of six members, the rent is fix. Better join with other people like you there to be a group and mutually pay the sum. I waited for one and a half hour to get the car as there were 5 families/groups before me already waiting for the cars. There are many animals in the biological park but I saw a lot more in the Jaipur Zoo. Though seeing them in an open field made for themselves was a good experience. They can roam in a space bigger than zoo cage. Once the car starts, it takes around 25 minutes to finish the round.

The view is amazing, if you bring your vehicle, drive safe. Also there is a transport facility at the entrance to drop at the fort. It would charge around 100-120. Tickets are 150 for Indian citizens and quite high for others.

We did not visit the biological park but 6 km away is the Sajjangarh fort. You can take your bike or car. The entry fee per person is 70 + 120 for bike but the trip on bike up a hill to this fort is worth it. Winding roads are there. Breathtaking view of the mountain range and valleys. Birds eye view of Udaipur City

Somehow most dangerous animals on the earth are gathered here. Most of animals are predators and sometimes they are gazing at humans as prey... If you encountered them in the woods land, you wouldn't have many option to survive. 6 to 8 seats of golf cart are available but if you want to observe animals at your pace, Walking might be better choice. You have to walk approximately 1.5Km to see all animals.

It was very good place for children. It's covered in 3 km area. If you can't walk then their vintage cab facility available but it's chargeable and waiting is very high in peak hours. This park is owning all kinds of wild animals like tiger, lions, hippo, beer, and many more. Apart from this it's having small park where kids can play but it's not well maintained. overall it's an average place to visit for adults but very good place for kids.

It's Amazing Place to visit, This biological park is located around 15 minutes drive from Udaipur Bus stand. If you are animal lover or visiting with kids than you must visit here, So many animals can spot easily. Electric four Wheeler Vehicle is also available on extra charge basis and if you can walk around 2 km than go by walk, actually by walk you'll enjoy more (my personal experience). Car parking space is available with charges. There is a Sajjangarh museum also you should visit.

The park itself is a lot of walking. It will take you over 2 hours to walk the entire park and you may not see too many animals. Also if you are alone as a woman, stick to the main road as it is a large reserve and there are no security personnel around. If you want a long trek and have the time, then do the park. It costs rs 37. But if you don't want to walk or dont have time, it might make sense to take one of the golf carts for rs 450. It's a big spend but worth it. Also near the ticket booth for the park which is off to the extreme right of the road through a Gate, there is a camel ride for just rs 100 which is totally worth it. Sit on the behind seat of the camel as it is more comfortable

Sajjangarh, also known as the Monsoon Palace, is a palace located on top of the Bansdara Peak of the Aravalli hill range in Rajasthan, India. It offers panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and the city of Udaipur. The palace was built in the late 19th century by Maharana Sajjan Singh and was originally intended to be a astronomical center and a monsoon palace. Today, it is a popular tourist attraction known for its architectural beauty and stunning views.

No sense of going to biological park, all the animals were in their respective caves. If you have time and you have visited all the places in udaipur then you can go there. Otherwise i must say you should visit local cultural places or enjoy some coffee at lake side restaurants with lake view.

  • 3/5 Rahul Y. 3 years ago on Google
This is a biodiversity park situated near udaipur on a mountain. Entry ticket is 65 per person indian citizens. There is limited number of places to see because it has 2-3 buildings only. Its a small fort when you compare it with many other famous forts of Rajasthan you will feel not worthy to visit. Due to its altitude the environment will be windy and a feeling of relief is there. hope you enjoy whenever you will go there.

Amazing place. You can see around 21 species of animals at a very cheap price. Crowd is less so you can enjoy. Due to Covid only 2 rides are working. So you will have to walk around 3.5km if you dont get the ride. Fortunately we got the ride charges are 400 per vehicle. Dont forget to carry water bottle, it might be a task to find a dispenser in the middle of the park.

It was the most calming and relaxing place I've been to in years. The various plants , trees flowers and animals put together was truly therapeutic. Although the buggies weren't available and we had to walk around 3 kilometres up and as much down we didn't feel tired at any point of time. Clean and well maintained by the staff the experience was lovely and it felt good to be in nature

Visited in January 2021, very less animals are there in zoo. Lion, tiger and leopard were lonely and without partner. Which was not good for their health and mental wellness. Though they have a lot of space inside cage to roam. I'd suggest officials to add more animals. Make the park happening. Ticket for Indians is 37 rs. Under covid, golf cart was not available officially but illegally it was available for 50 rs. per person. We informed the staff but they said good car is available for officers. I'm damn sure ladies and kids sitting in car were not officers.

Very Good biological park for kids. Have to take a walk of around 2-3km currently since due to covid the golf cars are not running inside. Huge breeds of animals are there like Ostrich, porcupine, tiger, lion, fox, bear, deers, bengal tiger, jaguar etc. Also get some nice views since it is located on the foot of the hills and you get a good view of the city as well. Need atleast 2 hrs to take a stroll inside and click some good pics. Ticket price is Rs.40 per adult.

The zoo is quite huge and it takes around 1hour to stroll around and cover the whole zoo. The entry fee is cheap say around Rs 37 per person. Animals like cheetah, lion, tiger, bear, alligator, ostrich, deer, fox etc are to be found. Zoo is great, but considering my personal opinion, animals shouldn't be caged and rather should be left in their own homes, one could sense the deprived emotions of the animals caged in the zoo, they have a portion of space to linger around and nothing else to do, so it would be humane to not cage any living creature.

Definitely an amazing place to take kids to. The sanctuary is huge that it will be exhausting to cover everything on foot. It is home for some of the wild animals such as lion, tiger, leopard, bear, hynas, etc. So, it will be a treat for kids to view all such wild animals in real.

The zoo has different varieties of animals and birds which have been brought from different parts of world. At present, it houses 60 animals of 21 species including tigers, panthers, lions, ostriches, alligators, rhesus monkeys etc. Within two months of its inauguration, the park has received more than 46,000 visitors in a month, generating a revenue of Rs 14 lakh for the forest department, which is a record in itself. Biopark's mascot is one of the most engaging attraction of biopark. Visitors can click selfies with the mascot by scanning Sajjangarh logo using Sajjangarh AR Application.

One of the major attractions in the City of Lakes, Udaipur is the Sajjangarh Biological Park, which is a zoological garden. It is located in the foothills of the Monsoon Palace (Sajjangarh Palace) and is about 4 km from the city center and 6 km from the city railway station. The park was inaugurated on 12 April 2015 by Prakash Javdekar, Minister of Environment and Forests, Gulab Chand Kataria, MLA Phoolchand Meena, MP Arjun Lal Meena and Minister Rajkumar Rinva. Sprawling in an area of 36 hectares, it is a home to a massive variety of wildlife. The main objective of the park is to make people aware of the flora and fauna of the region and otherwise. To create sympathy towards the wild animals, which are ruthlessly killed for benefits and other reasons. The animals in the park are kept in enclosures and visitors and spot these while on their visit to the park. Further, for taking care of the animals inside the park various measures have been taken and deployed to maintain the health of the fauna present in the Sajjangarh Biological park. There is a Zoo Hospital for taking care of the ill animals. The Biological park at Udaipur prohibits the usage of plastic covers/bags inside the zoo. I am totally against keeping animals in captivity for amusement of humans. They are born to be free and that is how it should be. So just one star. If I had option of 0 stars I would have given it.

Good place to see all kinds of animals. Though the walk is quite long, around 3.5 kms.Golf carts are present but not plenty..so you might or might not get it. Plenty of shade, water and places to sit can be found at frequeny intervals so no worries in that regard

  • 4/5 Karan M. 2 years ago on Google
Amazing, breathtaking view. Fort at heights always amaze people. You can have a panoramic view of Udaipur City from the palace. One thing which was not informed to us was if you don't have any vehicle then it might be a problem for you. You have to look for a cab or rental scooty. Private cabs charge 600-1500 rupees depends on the days and number of people. Also you can visit the wildlife sanctuary in the mid way. Happy exploring :)

This place is the best place in udaipur for sunsets. Try to reach by 4:30 PM at the gate. The gate issues you tickets until 5 PM. From there you drive by bike or car to the top fort. This place seemed like a renovated fort but nevertheless the view was amazing from the top minar. The place was too crowded for my liking but the sunset dint dissappoint. Do keep this place in your list when travelling to udaipur.

Nice, but it's a small fort on top of mountain. Nice sunset views.

The drive through Sajjangarh is great. We visited the monsoon palace mainly - which somehow is always under construction and extremely overcrowded. Go early morning to avoid the crowds. There's a trail midway which is nice if you like walking and is quite scenic to take photographs. Cars and two+wheelers are allowed inside at a nominal charge of 40 rupees. But finding parking at the slope of monsoon palace can be a struggle.

  • 3/5 Vishal P. 2 years ago on Google
Giving 3 star only because of the ride that you will enjoy on your rented two wheeler from outside the fort gate. You have to drive either two wheeler or have to take a taxi from main gate that will drop you to the top of the palace.. will recommend to go by two wheeler as you will experience an adventurous ride..but be safe and drive properly..rest nothing to see in palace..you can have the top most view and can click few photos..that's it..

Beautiful place to enjoy the nature. You can also do an educational trip here. Not very Well maintained.

  • 3/5 Akansha G. 2 years ago on Google
Good place for kids as they get to see animals. However, the washrooms are dirty with no doors on some of them. No basic amenities like soap or hand towels there.

  • 4/5 Nagarajan S. 1 year ago on Google
Not normal zoo type but yes there are few animals you can see if you at right time or else it is about your luck... Its not like open zoo -- cages are there still it huge cages so that most of them time animals stay in shadow part which is very difficult to see. Note : Yes Lion and tiger also ther but we could not spot it. Spending time : By Walking 2 to3 hours and by vehicle it would be 30 mins max.. but i suggest go by walking if you can.

The location is great and clean and well maintained. All the animals are living a best life as the area is huge enough and the park is providing them all the best facilities. The ticket price and the cart price is high, but as this price is contributing to the development and maintenance of the park it is great. If you don't have a time limit then go with the walking options as with the cart you will not be able to enjoy enough

The palace has nothing much housed in it. It is probably the top location which defines it more. It was breezy and cooler as compared to the city. We didn't stay till sunset, although it would have looked awesome

  • 4/5 Gulamabbas B. 11 months ago on Google
One should come by 4 pm and enjoy.. Avoid coming in afternoons..first finish the Monsoon Palace and than go for the park... Very few animals of now and a golf cart is advisable if you are with kids or elders.

One of the best places to visit in Udaipur but keep in mind that you are visiting when the weather is cool or it's raining, because you won't be able to enjoy it to its foolish in summer time. It's around 4.5 km of incline which you can cover by taxi private vehicle or on foot. The taxi cost 106 per person for round trip up and down. And entry ticket is 100 per head. If you are thinking of bringing your own vehicle then you can do it too but then you have to pay entry charges. The Sachin and monsoon palace is highest point in Udaipur. And the view while drive up there is mesmerizing.

Sunset view is best😍😍 Certainly! Sajjangarh, also known as the Monsoon Palace, is a stunning palace located in Udaipur, Rajasthan, India From Sajjangarh's vantage point, the city of Udaipur unveils its enchanting tapestry, where ancient heritage and natural splendor blend in perfect harmony✨ We rent activa and drive it through the fort and it is one of the best experience for our lifes😍😍😍 Sajjangarh, a testament to Rajasthan's architectural brilliance, stands as a sentinel of grace, overlooking the city with a regal poise

Amazing place for children to know more about wildlife. Well maintained and established.

  • 1/5 Sudhanshu S. 9 months ago on Google
Not worth at all full cheating is there, outside at ticket window they told us ticket is for 42 and you can take a golf cart/safari cart like vehicle from inside for which you have to pay separately which is for charges 400+ so we asked how many people can share it they told us 5 we were 3 people we arrange two more but inside they told it depends on ticket if even a single person with single ticket came then also he has to pay full 400+ charge. Not much animals are there even. Total waste, Behavior of persons selling vehicle ticket is also not good they do partiality between outsiders and locals.

It was awesome site to visit. However there is nothing much to see in the castle at the top but the whole route to go there was so beautiful. I visited this place during monsoon and it's the perfect weather to go there. The entry ticket was around 150 per person and 60 rupees for bikes. They also provide a government vehicle which costs 110 per person.

A little pricey for the place, as there is just scenic beauty I enjoyed and there is nothing much. Too much hype but not too great. Visited the place in the morning itself so got to feel the clouds and after 11 am it was crowded and sunny at the top.

So we came up with lot of expectations here but we got totally disappointed with service. First of all we were not getting the buggy after giving money also but the driver was talking very rudely and were not even talking face to face. They told that battery was not charged but they were taking other people. They said that you can walk 2 km to complete whole zoo but the distance was almost double. They are keeping the animals injected or what I don't know because the crocodile was sitting at one place only even the meat was kept near it.The area of jackal was covered half with cage but rest half was not covered. The black deers were at backside that also out of cage.Peacock also had same condition. And some cages were very large but no animals inside.Overall very poor experience and no maintenance and on the way we saw some boards lying on ground because the animals were dead so they removed the boards. All things I have mentioned can be seen in pictures below.
