Being a big chain this doesn’t always meet the mark. Some staff are really friendly and are well informed in their departments, where as there have been times when you ask a person a question and they are clueless to the answer. Perhaps there are training gaps but that really lets the experience fall below par. The store itself has great spaces with different departments for electronics, fabrics and clothing and home. It’s an ideal space for gifts and you can pretty much find everything you need or want!

Very accessible store with lifts and wide aisles- other stores should take note! The staff are always helpful and pleasant. Highly recommend their stylist service which is free and no obligation to buy.

Pretty good John Lewis with decent clearance offers in the electronics section. Sadly the cafe ('The Place to Eat') is a logistical disaster. Two different queues, a menu at the entrance where everything is 'subject to availability' and the few things on display ('display only' - don't pick up) don't match anything on the menu. So you queue for ages then get asked what you want, with no idea of what is available or the prices of it.

Well, I haven't been here in some time (because the standard of breakfast in The Place to Eat went downhill rapidly after they outsourced the catering...). However, today I got everything I wanted, including one really good bargain in bedding and, while the staffing levels seem to have been reduced slightly, I didn't have to wait long and the staff were their usual super polite, friendly and helpful selves...! Thank you, John Lewis Welwyn!!

Just visited John Lewis for bra fitting. Was served by Anna who was amazing, came away with bras that fit.... I feel a new woman. Can't recommend Anna enough, friendly, professional and knowledgeable. John Lewis has a gem in Anna.

Thanks to the worker near the steps on the 2F floor, he helped me find a place that sells Bose headphones.

recently we went to john lewis's cafe. we wanted to sit on the terrace, because we thought it had a view. but that beautiful view had been destroyed by writing 'garden view'. i must say it was very annoying. when we sat down, the part at eye level was covered with a black label. where is the garden view? (the coffee wasn't bad.) also some of the products sold in john lewiste are very poor quality and unnecessarily expensive. so poor quality that it is noticeable from 5 meters away, what is it to buy from china and sell it at such a high price?

Very large department store with a great selection of both high end and affordable products. Was delighted my puppy was allowed in the store with us and also that they had a great selection of dog products. The staff were very friendly and helpful too.

Exceptional Shopping Experience From the moment I stepped into John Lewis in Welwyn Garden City, I was thoroughly impressed. The store's layout is both inviting and well-organized, making my shopping experience seamless and enjoyable. The range of products available is outstanding, catering to all my needs from home goods to electronics. Each section is well-stocked with high-quality items, and I particularly appreciated the variety of sustainable and eco-friendly options. What truly sets this John Lewis apart, however, is the customer service. The staff are not only knowledgeable and professional but also genuinely friendly and eager to help. They provided expert advice without being pushy, ensuring that I made purchases that were perfect for me. Additionally, the store's cleanliness and adherence to current health and safety guidelines made me feel secure and cared for. The checkout process was swift and efficient, leaving me with a lasting impression of top-notch service. In conclusion, John Lewis Welwyn Garden City is a prime example of excellent retail experience. It's a must-visit for anyone looking for quality products and exceptional service. I'll definitely be returning and would highly recommend it to others.

This feedback is about the Welwyn John Lewis store. I shopped there today with a relative who has been very poorly recently. I was assisted by the fitting room / styling team. They were all absolutely fabulous. They were attentive and interested in us, but thoughtfully balanced that with being very sensitive to my relatives age and condition. They helped us find lots of great clothes that she really liked, but most importantly they made the day absolutely lovely for her. This level of kindness, professionalism, and customer care is what sets J.L apart from other retailers on the high street. Very well done! A really great team and an excellent place to shop and eat.

Such a shame for John Lewis to not put the customer first ; they can say all they want that Sonos speakers are known as a wifi device , but that doesn’t excuse them to harvest all your data and force you to signup the device upon use . A speaker needs your wifi password and email account and needs to know what room you’re using the speaker in before you can connect Bluetooth ? Really ? Can I install antivirus on my speakers since it now could be a hackable device ? Had to phone their customer service because denied refund all the way to the Philippines only for the manager to offer a partial refund on a device that says “ easily play all your audio content using WIFI , Bluetooth and line-in .” It’s not easy when I have to signup my data , download an app just to connect my device via Bluetooth . If there was an option to bypass this tedious setup then fair enough but since you are forced to submit your information on a device that I should be in control of before I can use it , is not an “ easy device “ .

Went shopping in Welwyn Garden City John Lewis which has a great selection of goods. I always buy my electrical goods at JL as they offer 2 years warranty. We then visited The Place To Eat for some great coffee and cake which was clean and tidy.

Dropped in for some coffee and cake. One of the coffee machines was out of order which meant a fairly long queue but staff were friendly and efficient. The outside area was lovely in the sun and I can recommend the carrot cake.
