The Faltering Fullback, a wonderful pub on Ennis road, Highbury way. The building and all the terraces are just amazing. The beer and the service are both outstanding. Was the fullback playing rugby 🏉 or football ⚽? I don't know and I hope they play both. The place is a wonderful maze of discovery and smiles. A huge asset for both the local community and doubtless the many visitors especially on match days. A priceless place!!

Such an HORRIBLE experience, we came from far away because a friend of mine recommended as they are "dog friendly", but once inside a security approach aggressively to us saying "you cannot stay here with that dog" when inside already saw two other dogs, why other dogs are allowed but mine not? Because is a bit bigger than the others? I felt very discriminated, because in the website say they are dog friendly, but is just A LIE, they are dog friendly when is convenient for them and when they want. One of the security offered me to take a plastic glass to drink outside, are you for real? Under the rain?!!! Even have been mentioned that the owner has two dogs, if you have dogs you should emphasize more with dog owners. Please do the favour to update the website as you are NOT DOG FRIENDLY. I will never come back, if I could I would rate 0 stars. Now I'm enjoying a nice service in somewhere else that is dog friendly for real.

Very nice outside area with multiple levels. Heaters available in Winter. Some of the outside tables have more privacy as you can't see them from all directions. Decend selection of tap beers.

Cosy sports pub with a surprisingly authentic Thai food offering 😍 menu is limited but well executed 😌

Reasonably priced pints and fantastic thai food! I was also impressed by the layout of the beer garden, great way to maximise space and despite looking quite intimidating, is actually super easy to navigate!

Had only ever come here for drinks but after hearing so many good things about the food here, I had to try it! It was surprisingly good and the portions were great too. We ordered the prawn pad Thai (a good benchmark), and green curry. Both were really scrumptious but I have to say, the curry was my favourite!!! It was super creamy and had a really nice kick to it.

Nice pub with good food! The terrace was super busy and we had to sit inside, luckily we got a table at the front of the pub which was a great decoration and light. We had some dinner there, the pad see eew was really nice but the stir fry could have had a little more quantity to be honest. They nicely have candles light up during the evening which was very nice. Good atmosphere however this was my first pub experience since lockdowns and I felt a little unconfortable when someone who clearly had too much too drink was freely going around other clients table (such as ours) chatting too close with strangers, touching, etc... I sadly might keep avoiding pubs until I feel more comfortable with strangers approaching and touching me.

Great Irish pub, with a good atmosphere, delicious Thai food, and nice live music. Definitely, worth it to go, I hope they don't increase the price for the main courses, as now they are perfect.

This tree house of a gem of a watering hole is truly great. Something for everyone, from the quieter entry/ground floor area, to the back of the ground floor tucked away with live music and an area for a banquet, to the outside area and levels above that make it feel like you're up in the canopy. I didn't try the food so can't comment there but there were plenty of snacks for our liking. The security was refreshingly decent and highly professional too.

This is a great pub within a short walk of the tube. It has a great entertaining space and decent outdoor seating. I went to watch an Irish rugby match, the atmosphere was electric, however marked down due to how so busy it got. There was a queuing system before I arrived, but once the game started, it felt a little claustrophobic, this is my opinion and if you are good with crowds, this wouldn't be a bother for you. I ate before the game started, the food was incredible and very quick for a busy pub. It was value for money in a venue in this location. The bar was small, but the staff were really friendly and I was served quickly, but once the game started, couldn't get to the bar as I placed myself too deep into the crowd, but I saw a steady stream of people getting drinks, so seems the service remained grand. Security were nice and maintained a good atmosphere. All in all I would go back

Nach England gekommen, um einen tollen Pub zu besuchen = mit The Faltering Fullback einen tollen Pub gefunden! Auch wenn ich am Ende ein italienisches Bier wohl hatte 😅

Don't get me wrong this was a really interesting pub with all its maze like staircases leading to secret drinking spots in all different shapes and size. A local told us gotta be a the best Guinness in London... definitely not, the Guinness we got did not taste right, tasted really watered down. Didn't hit the spot. Plus not even in a Guinness glass. Bit of a let down.

Came here with a large group of friends on a Thursday night and was thrilled to find lots of seating both indoor and outdoor! A great selection of drinks at a reasonable price, and according to an experienced friend, the second best Guinness he’s ever had outside Ireland. We will definitely be back 🙏

Interesting pub/bar also serving Thai food. Feels eclectic as a place - different areas inside and outside. You can choose from a more cosy, pub feel one side of ground floor or a larger space with picnic bench style tables. Outside there are three narrow mazzanine-type floors which make for a really interesting outside seating area. There is a fair selection of drinks (not much choice in terms of gins) but definitely enough choices to suit everyone. The food was served quickly and was perfectly decent, nothing special, but nice enough. I would visit again.

Amazing roof garden that is a bit of a tardis with its multiple levels and lots of seating - great place to come for summer drink in the Finsbury Park area.

Gorgeous pub Great atmosphere in the front and back. The Guinness is top notch, taste is decent and it’s the best shtick I’ve had from a pint in London Mucho respect for stocking scampi fries too. Touch of class

Wonderful pub with many interesting and diverse aspects. Firstly, as a traditional boozer, it's got a nice bar area with a decent range of beer on tap. It's got a large dining area with a great and affordable Thai kitchen that makes quick and delicious food. This dining area has a number of screens showing live sports. Possibly the most unique aspect is the multi level, decked outdoor drinking area. Great on a sunny evening!

Lovely pub with a wide variety of seating locations outside, including a private hideaway at the top level. Great beer too!

What a surprise this pub is. Feelings like the rear garden is built on a mountain with its different levels and terraces. Table service is easy to use if you have a smart mobile. Love the crowd and the vibes. Just brilliant and a must visit if you've never been to visit before and Well worth plenty of more visits once you've experienced it once!

Great atmosphere, fantastic staff and an amazing garden. Walked into a proper looking boozer and got lost in it. It was like an adventure. Great music venue which doubles as a restaurant /sports bar and a mind expanding surprise out side. Good cellar man could polish the real ales, food looked and smelled Great. My Prad Thai was slightly starchy but I still enjoyed it.. Hence only four stars..

It's probably my favourite pub in London! It's very quirky (just like me). Amazing and lovely tiered garden. Nice ales and friendly staff.

Great atmosphere, cool garden and of all things good Thai food! Plus great place to watch the sport

Pretty decent little boozer, although little is a poor choice of words - the inside is actually rather big - with multiple rooms where sport is often played (Mainly a rugby bar) and a lovely winding balcony beer garden area if you want some air. Drinks were generally quick to order from the bar but there is also the option of table service via a QR code. Can't speak on the food in general as I didn't eat anything aside from nicking a friend's chip, but that one chip was pleasingly crispy with a lovely fluffiness inside. Would recommend grabbing a bowl if peckish. Really nice way to spend the afternoon especially if the weather is decent.

We have been visiting for about 2 years every now and then. The place is massive. There are some small tables for a bit more private chat. Then there's a large hall with plenty of seats that's perfect for watching sports. The most unique about Faltering Fullback is their set of little terraces with multiple levels surrounded by lots of different plants. This lovely beer garden really is the reason we sometimes decide to come here even though they don't serve any cocktails. The pub also doesn't allow dogs. These are two reasons we don't come as often. Staff are always polite and friendly. Prices are normal, and bathrooms are taken care of. Looking forward trying their food one day. In summary, this is a great pub in Finsbury Park to bring or recommend to friends.

It’s a classic for a reason, and you won’t find another pub like it. Was here on a match day which IS jam packed so avoid that if you can’t handle weaving around. Remarkably quick bar staff especially for how busy it was. Love exploring the place by taking different routes around the rambling, multi-storied outside area. Can’t wait to come back in the summer and people watch.

This is such a lovely picturesque pub with a frontage swathed in flowers. Quite full when we were there because Arsenal were at home. Good beer and a great atmosphere with a nice mix of punters. Did have some mean looking bouncers though - although I suspect they're just there to calm down over enthusiastic football fans on match days

The place is amazing inside, but the different label terraza-garden is just so cute and magical. We enjoy a really nice evening there. They also serve food.

Had my first English Pub game day experience during the World Cup 2022 during the England USA game. Was told it’s an Arsenal pub so I freaking enjoyed it. Was on my feet all 100 minutes

The decor is quirky, and they have a beautiful garden inside. I finally tried their Thai food, and it was surprisingly delicious, especially the creamy green curry which had a nice spicy kick to it! 🌶️🍛 It's a cozy spot with reasonably priced drinks, and the layout of the beer garden is smartly designed. Plus, the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming, making it a fantastic place to hang out whether you're into rugby or football or just want a great pub experience. 🏉⚽🍻
