Today this morning I had a appointment at 8.45M the nurse she called me at 9.05am . She didn't even introduce her name to me . Went to room 26 in second floor . After 5 mins my appointment is finished . I came for treatment but never been that quick , she made me feel so bad I left with my tears on … I came many times before to the clinic to do treatments … but I never felt bad with myself like today . She was so so harsh with me I never felt that pain , and I have done treatment before in the clinic. This time made me feel so sad . I have to go home after and I suppose to go to work . I just feel so down and deep sad what I went through today .

One of the best sexual health clinics in the UK. Despite consistently being one of the busiest clinics they offer a stellar service by appointment. Booking: over the past few years the online booking system has been overhauled and improved, reducing the need to use the phone lines which are now less busy than before (although still quite busy). Recently there are longer delays for routine appointments but it is improving. Appointments: the wait times have consistently improved over the past few years. I often arrive, have a consultation/treatment/prescription and leave within 30-45 minutes. Services: consultations and nurse appointments are speedy but never feel rushed. I can only speak from my own experience as someone who regularly visits a sexual health clinic and is very familiar with the service - I appreciate that it runs at a fast pace, making the service more efficient for me and reducing the waiting times. Staff: always helpful, kind, and courteous. Some may be smiley and some not, but it makes no difference to the high quality service. Not every member of staff is highly knowledgeable but each are competent for the service they are designated to provide and confirm with a more senior member of staff when unsure. That's the best I can expect. Home test kits: can easily be picked up from the ground floor reception. I always pick one up on the way for my next test from home!

The on line booking system has been snafu for years - and I really do mean years. It's impossible to use and just throws up error codes. The only way to get and appointment is by phoning up and spending ages in a queue. The nurses are great there, hence not a one star review, but in this day and age there's no excuse for having an utterly useless web based booking system.

The receptionist I spoke on the phone 23/08/22 very very RUDE!!!. Unhelpful, unprofessional, and really should not have his job to be quite honest. 56 Dean street used to be one of the best clinics in London, becoming one of the worst, especially for the staff they hired! you can die that they don't care! Very disappointed

I had my implant removed by Sam today, who was extremely kind, courteous, and professional. She made me feel so comfortable and safe, especially with her gentle manner and knowledge of queerness/queer experiences! Thank you so much Sam!

Booked my coil/IUD fitting here. I was in pain but the nurses took such good care of me and put me at ease. The downside was there was a 6 week wait to get an appointment, but can’t complain. I was happy with the experience.

Had appointment today at 3pm. Was given swab kit to self test…but no instructions on how to swab and no mirror for throat swab in toilets. Felt like it was a waste of time and money on transport for this “test” Staff are truly lovely but what’s the point of going for a test if 1) there’s no instructions 2) no one to go to for help once you leave the nurse…

Worst Care Provider, BEWARE. The Practice Manager is argumentative and hostile when dealing with patients. The office is disorganised and doesn't follow the standard of care. I'd caution patients, particularly minorities to seek care at a more professional inclusive practice.

In-person service is wonderful, however, making an appointment over the phone, requires a lot of patience and perseverance, i cant find a reason why they don't answer the phone.

So lucky to have this clinic in the heart of London. The appointment system has been updated and is very easy to use. The staff are incredibly professional and kind. There was an technical problem ( not their fault) yesterday morning which meant they couldn’t open but the reception staff called and rebooked me in the afternoon - so impressed.

I was impressed about the service! Excellent costumer service. I did wait a little longer than expected but the doctors and nurses were so professional and lovely. They made me feel extremely comfortable and answered all my questions. I left the clinic happy and all my issues sorted.

Tried to book an appointment, couldn't book it as they’re busy. Gary however on the phone was extremely rude and unprofessional. They need better training there.

Extremely professional yet really pleasant with great customer service. Not your average SH clinic. Michael R. was absolutely great, reassuring and lovely making the whole experience pleasant.

Had my first IUD placement today and the appointment could not have gone better (despite the pain). This is all thanks to the kind, professional and knowledgeable staff, who helped to ease my nerves by ensuring I was well informed throughout the process with such care and positivity. I’ve also visited the clinic once before and had a great experience then as well. Many thanks to this team for doing what they do, and would highly recommend this clinic.

I've been using trans since June 2022. I had been waiting for Charing Cross to see me. Everyone who works at trans plus is super helpful. I'm now on the waiting list for bottom surgery. Skye who runs the peer support group is the best!!!!!

LOVE THIS PLACE. I had terrible experience with contraception with the NHS for a while - tried the pill, implant, and IUD at St Jeffries and it went horribly wrong. I was hesitant, but read many good reviews and they were correct. The loveliest staff, it's super clean, and they were fast and made me feel so at ease for a coil implant. I highly recommend Becky and Sam who were just the loveliest. Thank you both!

I’ve lived in Bristol, Birmingham and now Outer London. Hands down the best clinic especially if you are 21 and under (you don’t need an appointment - correct Oct 2022)

I had such a positive experience at the Dean Street Clinic for IUD insertion (5 years ago) and replacement (this week). I had Sam both times and she was so kind and supportive during the entire appointment, and answered all of my questions so I felt very at ease. The numbing spray was really effective and I felt no pain at all! It was also a lovely touch to have the movie playing as a distraction and made everything very light and comforting. I can't thank Sam enough for the amazing work that she does - I had zero issues with my IUD during the last 5 years. Also thank you to Becky who helped to get the appointment booked with Sam so that I could receive the nerve-blocker, and the whole Dean Street team for providing this vital service.

Dr Jess was SO amazing. Gave me better painkillers, and was generally kinder, friendlier, more available and much more sympathetic than my own GP who just palmed me off to A&E and hasn't bothered to follow up since!! (Four stars only for 56DS because the walk-in service needs more funding/improvement in making appointments etc)

I must say that I visited this so called clinic today and I felt as if I was being questioned to why I was there. The experience from the mixed race receptionist was extremely rude asking me what is it for out in the open in front of 3 people behind me. I would not recommend going here considering they do not understand proper communication and human decency when dealing with people who come there asking for help in getting tested!. I have never felt so embarrassed and publicly ashamed in my life I will be making a formal complaint towards the treatment I have experienced.

I found this clinic online and I picked this one because of the amazing review it had. I can confirm that the staff is extremely lovely and friendly. I got visited by Courtney and Luca who made me feel at home and reassured about everything! Thank you very much

This is a god-send! We are so lucky to have this in London. It can be really awkward and difficult getting help on sexual health matters but here they make everything so simple and everyone is so kind and caring. Especially for under 21’s, making an appointment for the first time can be daunting so the walk-in service relieves that pressure and you’re taken care of well. It’s a great place and don’t be scared to get help here!

Walked in without an appointment for an IUD on the week of the junior doctor strike, so didn’t expect to be seen quickly, but I only waited an hour - the staff were accommodating, kind, and answered all my questions patiently. Despite it being a very painful procedure, I felt very comforted and looked after - thank you!
