The Hemmingford Arms, a wonderful eccentric welcoming pub. Shock horror, no real ales on today, the cellar cooler is broken, sorry Timmy Taylor. Great happy service from the man who fixes everything (except the cooler). A really good pub, I love it.

Lovely eclecticly decorated pub. Quite homely feel, nice atmosphere, efficient service. Lots of bits and bobs hanging everywhere, posters, signs, a couple of TVs too. Theres a very decent thai restaurant working within it. Lots of tables outside too, all set in the beautifully decorated frontage. Reasonable selection of beers too

We came for the Thai food, which is served afternoon and evening on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, and were not disappointed. The green curry chicken had generous amounts of chicken and vegetables (aubergine, courgettes, bamboo shoots) with satisfying amounts of spice, and the sides (dim sum and satay) were good with really tasty sauces. Will definitely come back to try the other dishes.

Mentioned in the evening standard as a great pub for the six Nations rugby in 2024 we went along after dinner at the Sacre Coeur. A lovely atmosphere, lovely bunch of people, and the ladies behind the bar were super friendly and really efficient. Lovely traditional Feeling pub

Great local pub with good beer and Thai food. The staff are friendly and helpful. We ordered lunch from the Thai restaurant window and the food was tasty, even a bit spicy. Loved it.

Every once in a while you are amazed by what you find. We whent to the Hemingford Arms on Sunday night, not having been there since March last year. What a night good beer good prices Lives music GREAT LIVE MUSIC. This hast be on the short list of great North London pub's. We understand that there will be LIVE music most nights subject to available bookings.

What a fantastic place! Easily spotted from the lovely ivy. The decor inside is very unique. Live music, good beer and excellent Thai food I would recommend to friends :)

We arrived at this place around 10pm with absolutely no expectations, and we're welcomed by a very warm setting and lively love Irish music. The ambience was absolutely fantastic and you will get the full English pub experience here.

Favourite pub in London - great drinks, great atmosphere and the food is good too. On Fridays and Saturdays they have live music from 9pm and it is just wonderful. Everyone gets up and dances - guaranteed to have an amazing time here!

Nice little pub with a great feel inside. Has some great beers. No food served on a Monday night and does Thai food the other nights. Enjoyed it there. We were there on a Monday and were able to sit on a table out side and order a pizza.

Quirky, comfy, interesting and all round nice. Honestly nothing I can fault, beer was good, staff were friendly without being too polished/fake, they even had the football on, but not intrusive (okay, not a ‘big game’. I’ll be back to see what it’s like of an evening. #29 #43

Popped in on the way to dinner; really eclectic interior, top pint of Guinness, the unexpected extra of a whole table with an array of instruments playing music as well as a footie game on (the music was more my thing-so much so we went back in after dinner too!) Ambiance like you're in a great aunts house at a gathering in the best possible way, will definitely be back.

The Hemingford Arms is the best pub ever. The landlady is the best landlady ever. The bar staff are welcoming and knowledgeable. The Thai food is the best and enjoyable. The recommend to come to the pub to have a drink or two and some delicious Thai food

Had Sunday lunch in The Hemingford Arms last Sunday. The Thai green curry and coconut rice was absolutely divine, however the chili chips were out of this world. I would fly back over to London for these alone. We loved the pub and atmosphere so much we returned later that night for the live music which was brilliant. Beautiful food, clean and quirky pub, a large variety of drinks to offer and a lovely warm reception when you walk in the door. This pub is ran brilliantly by the manager. The best pub in London.

So British a pub as can be. Thanks to the professional barmen we got quick access to drinks and a great variety of beers. Obviously popular, the pub was loud and crowded with an absolutely positive atmosphere. Had found places directly at the bar, perfect location, good vibes and live music in the end. Definitely a good place to end a day in good mood, absolutely recommended. Cheers guys!

What an Amazing pub!!!! Flowers everywhere and lots of picnic tables outside, so you can enjoy the sun. The interior is brilliant, lots of quirky knick-knacks everywhere, its like an art gallery you keep seeing cool stuff. Lots of tables and chairs/benches inside. Staff were really friendly & welcoming, good choice of beers and nice to see local ones represented. A really unique pub, loved it, will be back!!! :)

The Hemingford is a special London pub - hence why it’s always busy and booked out. From the amazing ivy on the outside to the fantastic interior this pub will be a treat to your senses. The publicans run a tight ship and offer a wide range of drinks. The addition of the great thai food is always a win. The upstairs is great but nothing beats a summers day on the tables outside. Come one come all !

Absolutely adored this place. Old world pub charm with a twist. Lovely leading lady behind the bar, a few regulars posted and the most unique and gorgeous ornaments and knick knacks around to give it flare. Heard great things about the food so can’t wait to come back and try.

This place is my go-to pub in the area. It's got a good atmosphere for watching sports and the Thai food is a nice touch. They also host live music. If you're looking for a laid-back spot to hang out, this is it.

Im so much thanks for hospitality in my First Day in London, when i visited my firts PUB in this city. My english was terríble so, a bar man spoke me in spanish (i'm from Brazil) and everything was easy. When i will back to London i make question in visiting this place.

Gem of a local establishment: reasonably priced beer, great outdoor area, eclectic mix of locals our visitors. Shows live sport & serves half decent Thai food as an added kicker!

This is a great local with regular live music, great food, pub quiz etc. We also had our wedding reception here. The capacity was 60 which is perfect for our party after Islington town hall ceremony. Everything was easy to sort out, we could set up early in the morning and brought in our own buffet. The pub is already decorated nicely with beautiful foliage on the balcony but we could also move things around and decorate how we like. There was a member of staff looking after us upstairs the whole evening. We hired a karaoke machine and the PA system was also used by our band. The floor has recently been re-enforced so lots of dancing. Everyone had a great time!

What can I say about the Hemingford?! It is so unique, with a chilled ambience. The staff are helpful, friendly and very good at their jobs! Una, the manager runs a well oiled machine and is a pillar. The music is next level and you can sit back, relax and take it all in! A must visit and before you know it, you will be a regular:)

Traditional pub with a nice decoration and some outdoor benches at a not too busy crossing. You can get there also tasty Thai food which I can recommend together with the beer from Brixton brewery.

Fab pub with yummy thai food and lovely pint of Guinness! Staff are sound and there is often live music which only adds to the great vibe. Also the benches outside are lush when the sun is shining
