I cried the entire time I was there. So painfully beautiful. Especially the sacks of dog shite scattered so artfully around the base.

Placed here on the northern boundary in 1934 from Wrest Park by the extravagant bon vivant and owner of Trent House, Sir Phillip Sassoon. The place has not been maintained well. It is however good for walks, trekking through the forest.

Always worth the climb to sit on the bench at its foot. Will be even better when the Trent House refurbishment is finished.
