Beautiful surroundings and great for long walks. There are a few ponds around with these lovely ducks, very relaxing and therapeutic to just sit on a bench and watch them swim around. I have a small dog so always extra cautious to sit further back and not scare them. Lovely area, definitely recommend going for walks around this area.

Free parking, other dog walkers friendly, the woods are very muddy if it is wet!

Nice grassy area for a picnic and a woody area for a stroll. Cute wildflowers, not too many bugs(Apr 16), not too many people. Nearby high street had lots of takeout options for an easy picnic. Clearings in the wood for a shady picnic

This is a very pleasing and varied green space on the edge of suburbia. There's plenty of woodland to enjoy along with a few nicely open grassy places. It's generally pretty quiet but does get a bit muddy in the winter.

This is the kind of place one comes to, to test their endurance and see how far in to the Common they can go. Right now with the golden hue of Autumn the place looks glorious but the real test comes trying to navigate the place with rain thundering down and every step being a test of nerves not to slip and break your neck. I was lucky to get out intact.

I visited Monken Hadley Common in August 2022 when walking the London Loop route around London. This was a surprisingly large peaceful area with lots of woodlands, some hills, and open spaces.

Interesting area, good for walking, be careful with dogs, busy roads. King George V playing fields are well worth a look.

Really nice woodland. It's great for kids, especially after heavy rain: you can play in the shallow rivers that ensue (bring wellies!). I recommend walking through Monken Hadley, too, as it's a really nice little village.
