Held a film premiere at the Empress Building and the venue was fantastic. Everyone had a great night and the staff were helpful and friendly. They also stepped in at the last minute to save the day, which we will be forever grateful for! So glad that we chose to have the premiere here!

I have never had a night like it. Saw Brian Blessed here and roared with laughter. Decent amount of free parking really close by. Friendly staff and they give great value for what they put on. The folk who run the Empress are obviously passionate about it and managed to arrange a top evening. All I can say is GORDON'S ALIVE!!!

Tables & floor were sticky, Ladies toilets left a lot to be desired. Actual toilet pans were reasonably clean, floor clean in middle but god knows when sides/edges were cleaned. Sinks were grubby & hot water taps on all 3 sinks were impossible to turn on, soap dispensers were empty, so a quick swill in cold water was all. No paper towels, & hand dryers so weak it would have taken 20 mins to dry your hands. Ended up drying my hands on my jumper/ jeans. Not impressed.

Took grandkids for breakfast with the Grinch.l . They loved it . Special thanks to Jemma who went the extra mile to search for our tickets

First time and probably last. Nothing wrong with the venue, or the person who I went to see. But crammed in and unable to sit relaxed with people having to squeeze past to get to their seats, toilet and bar. Oh and given plastic drinks vessels. 😞

Great little venue and you can tell the team really care about making sure the venue serves the community. We saw Brian Blessed there which was great.

Went to watch a show at empress building, such a beautiful place, such history ,the work done on the building must of cost a fortune, if anyone remembers the boxing gym. Our only complaint the sound system is terrible couldn’t understand why all speakers are all together on one wall where we sat we had constant feedback. I’m sure it also cost a fortune but myself and many others attending that night would like to suggest a small tweak and then it would be a perfect 5*.
