In a world of copy&paste Cap’t Loui fails to stand out. I was excited to try their menu and experience a proper seafood boil right in my backyard. I am here to report they failed to meet expectation. The sauce makes and breaks these establishments and boy did they fail. Cap’t Loui only offers two kinds of sauce both their special sauce and lemon pepper wouldn’t recommend either both very plain. The calamari was laughable how are you getting away with disguising rubber bands as calamari? The drinks had no alcohol within them can’t recommend the drinks as well. When considering similar restaurants around the North Shore that advertised as a seafood boil Cap’t Loui falls right in line with the rest but carries a much bigger price tag. Cap’t Loui brings nothing new and exciting to seafood boil just another copy&paste seafood boil restaurant that follows already established norms. Receipt provided below was for just my girlfriend and I save your money and go to one of the 1000 other seafood boil restaurant across our state get the same food for significantly less. Can we remove the shell from the shrimps please!!!! Staff was friendly and attentive saved y’all from a one star.

Food was great but the mild food poisoning wasn't. I ordered the crawlfish, shrimp, and potatoes plus a cocktail (not too strong, definitely includes liquor) The food was delicious, my first seafood broil. Lighting, table, waitress, all pleasant. Didn't have much variety on the menu and the prices are slightly higher than your average seafood place. At the end of the night when I slept, I had waves of pain in my stomach for about an hour, which sucked because I looked forward to eating leftovers the next day but decided to throw all the food out instead! UPDATE: Read more reviews on this place, apparently their known for serving customers a hot plate of, FOOD POISONING!!!! BTW. If you've never had it, I would compare it to almost dying

Overall I recommend and would happily return. Service was good, food was good and portion sizes were surprisingly large from what I've seen in the past for Cajun boil. This is 4 stars instead of 5 because they didn't have as many sauce options (only 2!) as I've seen at other Cajun places, typically there are 4 to 5 options.

Got 3 lbs of broil with the free extra seafood. We got snow crab, shrimp head off, and crayfish +extra free crayfish =~$86. It comes with complimentary corn and potatoes, it was enough food for probably 3 people. The service is amazing! The original sauce is very tasty, potato is blend but you can dip it back in the sauce. They also have a lunch menu for 12-$13.

It is a one star Taverna or Cantina or whatever you want to name it. The service is awful. Yes I am old but saying it in my face it will not get you a tip. The jambalaya was something made with some tomato sauce and rice and chicken breast. Not even close to a real jambalaya. The cup had soup/tomato sauce, overflown. The fish (from fish and chips) is smelling strange, hard to tell the smell but I can hardly touch it. I think the smel is like burned egg spiled on fire And is not cheap for the wrong stuff they feed you. The only decent thing were the fries.

It was our first time at Capt Loui. We started with the drinks: Peach Soon Hari and the Pineapple Cocktail. The Soon Hari has a good amount of alcohol, so it’s best of you drink it slow, and the flavor is awesome. The pineapple cocktail was a real treat! I’d ask them to remove most of the ice ahead, though. That’s the only tiny detail that wasn’t perfect about this experience. We had the Pick Three Boiler Combo -Cajun sauce Mild spice. Honestly it was SO GOOD you didn’t even need the sauces!!! Everything was fresh and juicy. We had the Dungeness Crab, the Crawfish and the Snow Crab. It came with a couple of potatoes and corn on the cob. Everything was DELICIOUS. Now, the sides…!!! We had the Garlic Noodles, which were simple, yet made to perfection and the Lemon Pepper Fries which are literally THE BEST FRIES I’VE EVER HAD, period. Just when I thought it couldn’t get any better, we got the Funnel Cake Fries with vanilla ice-cream and it was AMAZING!!! Clearly, I’m looking forward to go there again!!! (I just discovered they also do Uber Eats, so it’s quite convenient as well!) Ps: The service was incredible, too.

When we’re not cruising for our anniversary, we try a new place for a good seafood boil. Food was absolutely delicious, not as hot like it just came off the stove though. Drinks were great, we tried the Madam Berry & Mr. Nice. We’d definitely come back again!

For a seafood lover like myself, I enjoy finding a place that really does a great boil. Not only do they have an amazing menu in general, but their lunch special is a great deal and perfect for those. Still wanting to have a boil meal! 100% recommend the garlic noodles. They were extremely yummy!! I really enjoyed the shrimp and mussels with the lemon pepper level hot.

So good! Jason was an excellent server - very attentive and pleasant. I got the King Crab and Shrimp boiler combo and the portions were so generous! I highly recommend their house sauce and the garlic noodles for the side.

I’m from Texas where I’ve eaten a variety of different styles of crawfish and seafood. This is by far THE BEST boil I’ve tasted in Mass. The spicy levels are on point. Oysters were on the smaller side but were delicious nonetheless. The crawfish tasted as fresh as it could get. My friend really loved the adult capri suns she ordered 3 of the Mr Rich. I will definitely come back here again!

This is our favorite seafood 🦞 fix. The flavors are so addictive and you will always want to come back for more. Their lunch specials Monday-Friday are such a great deal. Portion lunch specials with a side and the fryer options as well! What I love most is the service. I love the friendly staff and everyone who works well together. Sun is the best! He’s always so cheerful, happy to serve us, and overall it’s that much enjoyable with him! Thank you!

Wonderful food and service! We thought the food was excellent, value was fair, alcoholic drinks were delicious. Great lively atmosphere as well. We all know seafood boil is messy, but they provide tons of cleaning supplies, gloves and bibs to help. Our waiter Sun was attentive, friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we had a good time. My favorite seafood boil location and I’ll definitely be back.

Had a great time here! Hard to find a consistent boil spot but this is it. The base full of spices, seafood very flavorful, and a great staff. 👍🏽

I love the Loui sauce - all of the other seafood boil places unfortunately can't compare. The garlic noodles are really good and the lemon pepper fries are bomb. Servers are super friendly and the restaurant is bright and clean. Pro tip: Get the chicken wings or tenders and cover them in the Loui sauce.

100% worth the half hour drive to get here. For a place so far from the water the seafood is absolutely delicious and wonderfully seasoned! The mild is perfect for those that don't like a lot of spice and the medium had great flavor and heat. I have family down south and when I sent pictures they hounded me for details for when they visit next. Our server Sun was extremely personable and helped explain the ordering system and we never had to look for him. Drinks also get an A+ from their soju to their adult Capri Suns! Definitely recommending this place to all my friends!

The food was 10/10, we had the clam chowder and seafood boil. The clam chowder was nice and thick and the seafood boil was the perfect spice level at medium. The service was lacking, we waited a long time for our server to check on us, but we came at a busy time so that is probably why. Otherwise it was a highlight for our trip to Boston!

Great experience. I took my Aunt from the UK and she had a blast. Food is incredible. Drinks are strong. And we had free dessert

We came for lunch and it was lovely! My first seafood boil and it was great! Staff was super helpful and pleasant. We got checked on multiple staff and it was all around the perfect experience for a first time. Highly recommend:) we had lobster, crabs, mussels, shrimp, corn, potatoes, the lemon pepper fries and the garlic noodles!

Clam bag was delicious, with a deep garlic, oil, and mix of spices. I ordered spice level 'hot' and it held up. I appreciated they added a potato plus corn for free, both were cooked perfectly. They additionally provided gloves. Clam chowder was generous with the clams, had a good balance of salt and spices, with a thin soup base. Garlic noodles had a thick layer of parmesan cheese on top, oil, and garlic chunks. Absolutely worth it.

I've been going to this location for years and was THE place to take people I worked with for lunch. The flavor of the food is still the same, which is still fantastic and just hits the right spot for spicy seafood. This last visit though threw me off and it'll probably be quite some time before I go back. They've been changing the format from self service to table service over the past couple of visits and the attentiveness is not great. The mussels were also a little off from what they used to be and the prices have gone up dramatically. Overall a bummer for a place I adored.
