We love Roma. It is my daughter's favorite place on Federal Hill. This was the 3rd time she chose to celebrate her birthday with Roma. One we had to get take out as we were still dealing with the pandemic, but that's the beauty of Roma... delicious prepared Italian dishes that we can also enjoy at home. The service was amazing tending to our every need. Staff is so friendly always make you feel as though you are visiting family. We did a casual lunch with assorted pizzas salad and some of Roma's famous Italian grinders (Marina's favorite). There was more than enough and an assortment to please everyone. Thank you Roma for another wonderful birthday celebration!

Located in the ever so popular area " Federal Hill" , Roma is a great spot to grab a bite to eat. The food is always amazing here as are the people that work here. Sandwiches and prepared foods are unbelievable. They offer plenty of options to choose from , and you will definitely leave happy and full. You won't find a better lunch .

This might be one of my favorite places in the world! We have been going there for 30 years. Every time we go there I get a big smile on my face. The food and selection is fantastic! I feel like I’m in Italy! The atmosphere is very casual. It’s a deli you can eat at. I can never leave without getting a pint of stuffed peppers to go! You will not be disappointed!

Thursday , Dec. 23rd- 2021 . I made a quick stop today around 1130am or so . This place was busting at the seams . It was my first time here . One of my Italian friend told me about this place . I wanted to get some anti-pasto products for Christmas dinner but it was too busy . I opted for some cheese ravioli , macaroons and 1/2 a pint of anti-pasto (just to try it) . I found the place very interesting . They have parking not a big one . On a non-busy day , easy to park around the little market on a day like today tho …..it can take a while . The cash register had an issue . I had to pay with cash .I got myself some decaf and headed to do some last minute Christmas dinner shopping . I love the energy there . I would def go back just for the Italian experience .

This is my favorite Italian deli! It has amazing home made Italian food that you can eat in or take out. It is very budget friendly as well. Roma Ristorante is a can't-miss Rhode Island landmark. The people here are wonderful.

We got the italian sub and the caprese sub. the bread was good and the sandwiches were flavorful. Not a lot of vegetarian options here but what can you expect from a Deli. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and I loved all the options available for food such as pasta sauce or jarred grilled zucchini.

We decided to attend the dinner and Edward’s Twins show here tonight. Big mistake ! The restaurant was well over capacity, food was disgusting, it was nearly impossible to get up and down from your seat, soup spoons with dessert because they had no other utensils , only cold water in a very dirty bathroom, anytime you wanted a drink you had to figure out how to get past people to get to the bar. All for $105 per person ! Big mistake and never again . I would give less than one star if I could . If I was alone I would have left and forfeited the money, but the others in my party wanted to stick it out.

The Steak Pizzaiola Calzone was one the best things I’ve ever eaten. The inside of the shop/restaurant is pure chaos but the food is worth the wait and confusion. There are plenty of Italian goods and sweets to browse while waiting. I was slightly disappointed by the lack of pastries, but the cookies and affogato were enough to appease my sweet tooth.

I'm not going to lie the gelados are unreal especially the strawberry like this flavor is so dead on tastes like fresh juicy strawberries on a hot summer day like superb but true scoops is $9 so not exactly a big value here if you know what I mean two of these is going to run you like 16 to 18 bucks which is a little steep in my opinion but the desserts are also to die for recommend cannolis and their pizza and hot meals are also unbelievable I mean you get what you pay for and when you eat it you understand why you're paying top dollar because it's just worth it I mean it tastes great what can I say but I always cringe a little after I spend some money here I have buyers remorse but I never ever regret it if you know what I mean

Stopped by Roma for the 1st time to try the pizza. Went on a weekday and had an enjoyable experience. They have a nice brick oven and a ton of prepared foods. I went with a meatlovers pizza and washed it down with a Perroni. The pizza was good. Enjoyed the sauce, cheese and toppings. Not a huge fan of meatballs in general on pizza, would omit that next time. Pizza had a little more flop than I like and was a little doughy. One major positive is that they have a parking lot across the street and that's a huge plus because parking can be limited in the area. They are adjusting the hours as well and may be open later than advertised on the weekends. The sweetheart greeter was very helpful.

I been going to roma for years there sandwiches keep getting smaller and more expensive. I ate the most disappointing Italian there. Subway had them beat.

I rarely leave a bad review & hate doing so but this one I wanted to write so the owner Ali could see & address the issue. Had about 5 different dishes here & would say 2 out of the 5 were good. Other 3 seemed to be rushed or pre prepared, the Mac & Cheese smelt like sweaty socks. Yes sweaty socks & tasted pretty awful also. I honestly don’t think this is from inexperience but instead like I said I think it was pre prepared & sat out for awhile

Great foods from Italy/Europe. They also make really good calzones with nice thin crust and real Italian ingredients, not slop. Functions as a coffee shop and mini restaurant as well. Just annoying to get to.

Order take out, chicken parmigiana, penne pasta with meatballs, ricotta cheese penne pasta, French fries and chicken tenders. Unfortunately our order was incomplete to start. The food was cold. The meat balls tasted old and lacked flavor, the texture was off putting. The chicken was okay. One of our pasta dishes seemed very watery compared to other dishes. The only dish that was the most edible was the chicken tenders and fries.

We had their garlic knots and also a cheese pizza. I prefer new haven style pizza but this was almost that good. Garlic knots were awesome though. Service was pretty good. I'd def. go again.

Best kept secret on the hill. I'm ashamed to say it took me nearly 25yrs of living in RI to find an Italian pizza this good. The interesting thing is Roma doesn't advertise the fact that their pizza is made in a wood fired brick oven. I had to scroll back to some of their first posts on FB to figure that out!? They also stop making pizza around 4-5pm! Once we found this place, we are no longer ordering pizza anywhere else. The pizza is HUGE. It's cooked to perfection (most of the time) & it somehow tastes even better the next day. It's magic. They're also super affordable. You have to try them out if you like a "new Haven" style pie, you will not be disappointed.

Whoever the tall white guy is …. I walked in wanting a salad. He completely ignored me .. another person came out and asked me what I wanted. The white guy turned around gives me the biggest attitude and tells me he doesn’t know how to make a Greek salad. Storms off in the back after I just drove in from New York City. This is the place where I come to get food, and I’m treated like this? Do better. 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎 Edit: I talked to the manager and he just laughed the whole time I’m telling him what happened. Then defends the employee saying everyone can have a bad day . Yes, of course. But not at the expense of paying customers… did not offer anything besides to come back and him make me a salad. Why would I go back? especially nothing on the house to make it right.. bad for business!

We’ve been going here for years and really like it - a lot. Everyone is friendly and helpful. No joke. They really go out of their way to accommodate you. The food is fresh. The pizza - our favorite. Subs - generous. Meals - satisfying. The ice latte is delicious. By farrrrr our FAV on Federal Hill. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Stopped here for some pastries after having lunch somewhere else. The girl who helped us was super nice and helpful explaining their options. Both pastries were absolutely delicious and we immediately regretted not getting more before heading back home out of state. We know we stopping by again when we come back.

The best Italian restaurant on Federal Street. This guys take seriously the flavors and recipes from Italy. Authentic sauce, meatball, eggplant Parmesan and everything you want to taste. Bread, pizza, cold subs, hot subs, paninis, Italian coffee and dessert. I totally recommend it. Thank you guys you're amazing.

That this place isn't often mentioned as the best pizza in the city puzzles me. The crust is light, airy, crispy, and the medium sized air pockets throughout give it structure, but also make me believe there is no oil to speak of. The sauce is beautifully tangy and there is just enough cheese. I've not had pizza like this, it's a revelation. It's also handicapped accessible, with an experienced no nonsense staff, and no pretension. They close at 6, but if they were to deliver at night I suspect they would be multi-millionaires. This stuff is good.
