This was our first time at the Royal Anchor and we were very pleased. The rooms were immaculate and the service was great. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I went with 2 children and was happy that the pool, beach and food/drinks are all just within a few feet from our room. There was no AC in our room (as stated on the website) but we kept our slider open overnight and the cool breeze from the ocean at night kept our room cool enough. It is within walking distance to the pier, palace playground and the shops but far enough away to enjoy the beach with peace & quiet

Unbelievable local Old Orchard Beach ⛱️ place. Awesome Tiki bar 🍸 with white Adirondack chairs, very classy. Outdoor bands are great especially if you are fortunate enough to see the Don Campbell band. Heated pool and right on the Atlantic Ocean.

Everything was super clean! Our rooms were cleaned every day, they did a great job maneuvering around our 5&6 year olds stuff! The patio was also very clean. The views were beautiful. We also loved the to go breakfasts.

Staff very friendly rooms very clean and comfy! The Royal Anchor was a beautiful place to stay! Next time we will plan our stay when they have the outdoor live music! We will definitely be returning to the Royal Anchor OOB Maine

This was our first trip to New England when I booked in August I found most places couldn't accommodate us for 7 days. Royal Anchor Inn had a room with no balcony so I reserved it. When we arrived they were able to put us in ocean view room with balcony then 3 days later moved us to ocean front! I cannot say enough good things about the property and the owners and staff. The place was immaculate inside and out, the breakfast though continental had a wide selection including coffee all day. The tiki bar had live music 5 afternoons a week and drew a large fun crowd including locals. Nice heated pool plenty of comfortable outside seating including beach chairs at no charge on the private beach. This place is run right!

I can honestly say everyone that works at Royal Anchor ⚓️ was not only helpful but extremely informative,courteous and made us feel at home.The new owners were so welcoming,friendly and such hard workers.I wish them nothing but the best in their new endeavor. Our family plans on having many more memories at the Royal Anchor and Mike the Manager is the best.Thank you all! Already looking forward to next year!

Always amazing, whether it's with friends, family, a partner or children!! Right on the beach with lots of amenities & options for food, drink & activities. The property is always clean, & well maintained, the only recommendation I have is to implement & supply returnable containers for bottles & cans; those who travel from out of State or from out of the country may not realize these bottles & cans are refundable or may even bring some that are not refundable, but the option should be available for return or at least recycling.

If the beds and pillows were more comfortable then this would be the best place to stay. We absolutely loved our stay here but we had to go to Walmart and buy pillows to get some sleep. The view, the pool, the private beach, the tiki bar, and the location was perfect. The hotel was cute and clean.

We had a great stay at The Royal Anchor. The rooms are a great size and the private balconies are an added bonus. The service was excellent from everyone we interacted with. The location is close enough to walk into the center of town but far enough away to be away from all the people. We will be back!

The location of this hotel is fantastic! Right on the beach. The lack of AC is really something. With the fan running and the patio door open all night, it was pretty hot. The bathroom was also tiny and the water pressure was a small trickle.

I have never stayed here but have been a few times to sit by the beach. And listen to the live music. The setting is fantastic, and the bands have always been really good. The parking sucks and there is only one option for food, which is just OK. There is an outside bar, but drinks are pricey, in my opinion.

Stayed on a Monday night. Room was clean and comfortable, enough towels provided. The whole place was VERY quiet in the evening. Easy parking. Beach access & chairs are great and a cool pool/lawn area. Staff were friendly and housekeeping did a great job. There is a water and ice machine right out front. Couple of notes. Cost for parking after check out is $15 for the day, you can use their bathrooms though so it's better than other places. Cost for a guest to park is $25 for the day. Cost per person in the room after two is $15 (our booking only showed the price for two people I guess - so we paid $395/night). Snack bar is convenient - $10 for grilled cheese, nachos w/ tub of dip, $3.50 for ice cream sandwich, $14 for margarita, etc. Will definitely stay here again. Very very clean and quiet compared to other places I have stayed in OOB. 4 stars just due to the cost for the value.

The location of this property is great! They have a beautiful beach patio. I would highly recommend.

Enjoyed our stay! Location was perfect! We loved the condo! Everything was very clean upon arrival with accommodating & welcoming hosts! We couldn't of asked for a better family vacation!

Super clean, family friendly resort in nice quiet location. Been going here since the mid 80’s and hopefully it stays as nice in the future as it always has been.

We enjoyed the tiki bar near the beach numerous times over the summer, great views, clean, friendly staff, good light lunches, and yummy summer drinks!

We went after high season and it was perfectly lovely. Rooms were decent with a great view and direct access to the beach.

You can't go wrong at the Tiki Bar with Don Campbell on stage. Nice Caribbean vibe!

No AC!! In any of the rooms! Nice rooms with private balcony BUT for $320 no AC??! Are you kidding? Go to many of the other motels closer to the pier on East Grand Ave that have AC for less $!

We went up to see one of our favorite people play outside on the deck. Was Don Campbell and company... they were amazing and sang some really cool songs we loved it!!

This hotel was very clean They have a tiki bar and chairs and tables outside with a live band on certain Days! Would definitely stay there again. Beautiful view of the ocean And not too far from the honky tonkey section of old orchard beach

Rooms are lovely, housekeeping is impeccable. Our only concern was how low to the ground the toilet was. Rediculously low. The only one that didn't have difficulty was our 8 year old. However, We love the Royal Anchor so much

Love the tiki bar,,,prices are reasonable, bartenders are friendly, the setting can't be beat.. Music (Don Campbell and band) the best around,, free parking! What's not to love about this place?. Easy swim from Pine Point
