Barsi Gate is one of the five gates and the only surviving gate that surrounded the walled city of Hansi. It is considered as a good example of Sultanate architecture. It was built in 1303 AD by Sultan Alaud-din Khilji in 1303 AD and eventually repaired in 1522 AD during the rule of Ibrahim Lodhi. The height of the gate is close to 30 metres and the gate is under the protection of Government of India. The other 4 gates were known as Delhi Gate (East), Hisar Gate (West), Gosain Gate (North-west) and Umra Gate (South west). Looks awesome. Real ancient gate.

It is a historical place one of the only surviving gate of 5 gated walled city, it's height is of around 30 meters which gave a stunning view of this monument. As per records it was built in 1303 AD by Mughal emperor Sultan Aluddin Khilji & in 1502 AD was repaired by Ibrahim Lodhi. Now its main market of the city named as Hansi, Parking here is tough affair as always remains very crowded most of the times.

A beautiful and historic gate. It is one of the 5 gates of Hansi. It leads up to the Asigarh Fort. Do visit and also try Hansi’s famous Peda while you’re there.

Historical Place 😍 One of the five gates of the ancient City of Hansi The walled city of Hansi once had five gates of entry – Delhi Gate (East), Hisar Gate (West), Gosain Gate (North-west), Barsi Gate(South) and Umra Gate (South west). Out of the five gates only Barsi gate survives Over 30 meters in height, the Barsi gate presents a beautiful example of Sultanate architecture.. It was built by Sultan Alaud-din Khilji in 1303 AD as per a Persian inscription on the top. It is a pointed arch gate. Subsequently, it was repaired in 1522 AD during the rule of Ibrahim Lodhi.

This huge gate presents a beautiful example of Sultanate architecture. Out of the five gates of walled ancient city of Hansi, this is the only one that survives as an ancient structure. This ancient gateway was built by Sultan Alaud-din Khilji in 1303 AD as per the Persian inscription. It is a pointed arch gate. Subsequently, it was repaired in 1522 AD during the rule of Ibrahim Lodhi. This gateway, served in the ancient times as the main entrance to Hansi, is over 30 metres high.

It's a historical place but is not maintained from very long. It is one of the four gates which enters to the fort of Prithviraj Chauhan in Hansi. These sites are not maintained from a very long time as perhaps they are located in small city. There is no ticket to ente the gate. It is not famous or known as a tourists place. There is literally no importance given to such a big historical site. In my opinion, the government should maintain it and could show it's importance to the young generation. Unfortunately it is known among locals as a mark to any location not as a historical or significant site.

In ancient times Hansi had five gates, gusai gate, umra gate, Delhi gate, char qutub gate and barsi gate. Only barsi gate is still standing and rest of them have been demolished decades ago because they were too week to stand and could cause casualties. So if you visit Hansi please barsi gate, it's just 200 meter away from bus stand and one kilometre away from railway station.

One of the gates of old Hansi fort. It's a heritage site. Middle of hansi market. Becomes a choke point if traffic is more.

The Entrance Gate of Old Hansi as it was a entrance gate of the Hansi Fort, Which is known as the fort of Prithivi Raj Chauhan.

The gate has been occupied on all sides by shopkeepers, you might just miss it in the rush and heavy traffic. This gate leads up to Asigarh fort which was one of the forts of Indians greatest kings Prithviraj Chauhan.
