I was a little worried reading the menu but the flavors were excellent. Definitely some unique food mixes. Service excellent, atmosphere pleasant. Chairs not comfortable. Could use dollop of whip cream on chocolate pie.

I would give the bartender less stars if I could. I come here all of the time and i have never had an issue. Today, however I ordered a pisco sour and it came out looking like a pink refresher from Starbucks. As a frequent drinker of pisco sours, it wasn’t right. I politely asked the bartender to remake it and she very rudely came over and said she knew how to make it and clapped * what* do* you* want* while yelling it so the entire restaurant could hear. I felt so mortified and wished I could have crawled under the table.

The mini crab claws was a perfect start to this meal. Swimming in garlic butter, just bite sized wonderment. Only thing is I wish there was 50~ more. Drinks were good and fair price for wine. We enjoyed two bottles. We had the mushroom garden pizza and while it was really good I would not get it again, everything looked good they were bringing out to tables. The peanut butter pie dessert was a show stopper finish to the night. I blame that pie for making us feel lucky because we went straight from here to the casinos. Great restaurant and food.

Hog & Hominy has a great ambiance and really good food. The pizzas are some of the best I’ve had. You need to try the Thunderbird! Forty Twice! pizza. The apps are good too! The cocktails were a slight bit of a let down, but might just be an off round on that. I’d definitely go again!

Went here to celebrate a birthday recently and it was very good! The service was great and the food was different and yummy! I’m glad that I went and got to share a few pizzas to try the different flavors, but I don’t think this will be a regular stop for me.

First time having halibut and I think it was perfect. Not dry, and the chef achieved a nice crispy sear on both sides of the filet. The sauce was awesome and the veggies were fresh. I hope I get to come back someday!

food was ok the burger and fries was very good. Prices are ok. Parking can be tough although they do have valet parking. The peanut butter pie was much better than the lemon.

Great food! I have never had better biscuits in my life. We came for brunch on Mother’s Day and the staff was very accommodating. The mimosas were great and the service was awesome. Multiple employees stopped by to check on us and made sure that our experience was exceptional.

When living in Dallas, I would book work trips and drive the 8 hours just to go here. The food is fresh and delicious, the drinks are creative and made from scratch. Go for happy hour, go for the sweetbreads, go for pizza... it doesn't matter what you go there for, you will enjoy your time.

Excellent pizza, exotic cocktails, a touch of French-Canadian, a dash of Southern. Can't go wrong at this eccentric Italian neighborhood eatery. A must try in Memphis. Will have to try their other restaurants as well.

What could I say about hog & hominy that hasn't already been shared? To my knowledge, this is a legendary spot tucked away just off of poplar avenue. I will say, the rumors I had been told we're definitely true! We arrived late on a Sunday morning for an incredibly satisfying brunch. Our server was attentive to us and very polite to answer our various questions. A pleasant floor-host by the name of Zack who approached us towards the end of our meal was very charming, and appreciated our feedback. Our banter was very enjoyable. Clearly a man who Loved his Job. My one complaint- the breakfast entree we ordered came to us cold. However, we still very much enjoyed it's subtle flavors. To the owners - you have something special here, and clearly put some love into this business. I wish good fortune to your continued business 🙏

Been a few times and always receive A1 service. The food is good, seasoned and I can't really find many issues. Some of the flavors can be different at times but you can't be afraid to branch out and try alternative recipes. If you want traditional then the pizza is always a great choice. The burger is outstanding though. I'd put it up against burger spot in the area.

Outstanding experience. My wife and I went for lunch. The hostess was friendly and seated us right away. Our server was attentive as well as personable. I ordered the John T burger and my wife got the braised shoulder. My burger was very good and the home made fries were excellent. My wife enjoyed her meal as well. Afterwards we ordered the chess pie with goat cheese gelato. I thought it was outstanding. The atmosphere is a bit quirky but that only adds to the charm. Highly recommend. We will be back soon for the dinner menu.

My favorite place in Memphis. Amazing. Everything on the menu is fresh, unique and delicious. I order something new every time, because the menu could never adequately describe the flavor the food. The menu might say"hotdog," but that will be the best hotdog you could ever imagine. And still, the ingredients are all fresh and deceivingly simple. This place is the gourmet cafe of my dreams. If I could afford it, I'd eat here every day.

I can't think of a restaurant I love more than Hog & Hominy! The bartenders are great and are always creating a new interesting cocktail. You can not go wrong with the Red Eye pizza and any of their seasonal preparations of biscuit gnocchi.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND - Went here for a date and probably the best date spot in Memphis! Classy but not uptight. Warm and intimate interior. Food was amazing! Everyone was super nice and attentive. Honestly felt very taken care of by the staff. I believe our servers name was Fred who was amazing! They even had vallet which was neat (remember to tip your servers and vallet!). All around wonderful experience and hoping to return soon.

We had a great dining experience at Hog and Hominy on night 2 of its reopening weekend. Everything was top notch. Beautiful new dining space, attentive and quick service, and delicious food/ drinks. The staff seemed well managed and prepared for the packed house. Nothing was lacking for us tonight! We look forward to enjoying many more meals here in the future. (Picture of my favorite pizza, Red Eye)

Loved it before and after the renovation. Our most recent visit, the staff was great. Our waiter was very patient and accommodating as I recently became vegan and he helped with menu options and adjustments to fit my needs. In the end, the Chef was left to decide for me on how to tailor my dish just for my dietary needs. His creation was perfect and I ate one of the BEST vegan friendly pizzas I've ever had. Will definitely go back

So pleased that this restaurant had reopened. My wife and I have visited several times since the reopening. Perfect place to celebrate, for special dates, and for simple nights out. The cocktail menu is great; the Chandler Bing has been my go-to. Pizza and poutine round out our dinner, although the dessert menu is wonderful as well.

  • 1/5 Deborah W. 2 years ago on Google
If you can give an establishment a rating of 0 this one would definitely get it from me. I couldn't believe an appetizer with the price of $28 and it wouldn't even feed one person and the prices on the rest of the menu with outrageous. We don't mind paying a great price if the food is wonderful but I have to say it wasn't. Even tho the crab claws were fantastic but you get a small bowl as an appetizer for $28. I would never recommend this restaurant. I feel they're trying to be an high-end restaurant and they aren't.

We are so happy this place is back. There is nothing like it! The staff is always SUPER accommodating. The atmosphere is great. But most of all the FOOD is to die for! This place is always always always good.

  • 5/5 Paige H. 2 years ago on Google
Love the new space! It is a little loud but I love the vibe - feels like I’m in L.A. or Miami. The crab claws are fantastic and the burger (with Mayo instead of mustard) tastes like an awesome, upscale Big Mac. The bartenders are awesome and very knowledgeable especially KB. Will be back often.

The new building may look different; however, they are still the same restaurant. Sweetbreads were amazing and the staff delivers top notch service. We had a reservation but went early and were able to have a drink at the fantastic bar before seated. I will definitely be a regular.

We stopped in for an early Sunday dinner and everything was wonderful! The new Spring 2023 dinner menu has some amazing options! Roast Oysters & Crab Claws were delicious as well as the Roman Gnocchi! The Fever Dream cocktail was subtle, light and well balanced deliciousness! Pizza... Perfection and our server, Heather, was personable and attentive while giving us plenty of privacy on the patio. Great job to everyone involved! We will be back!

Went here for a double date on a Thursday night. Made a reservation and got right in! Our waitress Payton was awesome! She was super knowledgeable and helpful! The food was phenomenal. Only thing that could have been better was parking, but we made do. Great atmosphere as well!

  • 4/5 Andrew D. 1 year ago on Google
Good food and vibes with friendly staff ready to provide awesome customer service. While the food was good I felt the menu was a bit pricy. I understand quality ingredients are costly. From the poutine I had I counted 5 cheese curds which seemed like a small amount. I may have been given a smaller portion as the table next to me had much more gravy and cheese. Either way give it a try and decide for yourself.

  • 4/5 jenette m. 11 months ago on Google
Well, the atmosphere and service were great . The menu is eccentric, but I kept it simple, burgers and fries. FYI, the burgers have plenty of sautéed onion. A canned coke is $4. I did like fries. They have valet parking if needed.

  • 5/5 Nathan C. 10 months ago on Google
Poutine with pork-neck gravy, fresh mozzarella curds, and crispy fries. Meatballs with guanchale. Lemon Icebox Pie chased with espresso. Run, don't walk to Hog & Hominy. Your salivary glands will thank you.

Great spot for happy hour after work or brunch on the weekends. Not a lot of parking options, but there is parking on the street. The menu changes regularly except for a few of their signature items like their pizzas, but overall pretty good. Nice, friendly, and knowledgeable staff.

Wasn't too impressed by the food but I didn't have the pizza. The servers were all really nice there so I may give it another try.

A fantastic restaurant. I had there salmon dish, and it was definitely five stars. It comes with asparagus and a cauliflower risotto, The salmon was perfectly cooked and had a delicious glaze on it. The service is excellent, And I'm looking forward to going back there again the next time I'm in Memphis.

This is without doubt one of the greatest little restaurants that I have had the pleasure to visit and eat. The staff are polite friendly and welcoming, the food is World Class especially if you want to enjoy flavour with a difference, every dish is thought through, prepared freshly and served professionally, they have an excellent assortment of beers and wines all at pleasantly affordable prices, you can sit inside or out and bookings and reservations are possible.

We met our daughter for dinner. We had never before been here and did not know what to expect. We parked in front, Parking is a little limited. They both parked down the street where they had valet parking. We ordered three different pizzas and split them. The were absolutely delicicous. Service was very good. Next time we are again in Memphis we are going to make it a point to eat here.

A favorite Memphis restaurant for us! Such a neat atmosphere with a very trendy vibe. The cocktails are amazing. Favorite dishes include the crab claws, salads, poutine fries, and thunderbird pizza. Seriously don’t think you can go wrong though! Definitely recommend a reservation— wait times can be very long, especially on the weekend.

  • 5/5 K13 4 years ago on Google
So I went there last night for the 1st time after hearing many good things about this restaurant especially from my daughter, it's one of her favorite restaurants in Memphis. So yes dinner was great last night the hospitality was fantastic the service was exceptional. The price was also very good in my opinion but I'm sure many will think it's very expensive for what it offers but that's what you get for having something different so deal with it. The only criticism I can make at this point is there was a little bit of a piggie smell sometimes not so pleasant in the Room it has to do that most of everything that make uses pork thus the name and my other criticism is the pizza could be a lot better. Other than that everything else I had was fantastic like the crab legs and a poutine and my amazing brussel sprouts salad. Most likely I will go back again but no pizza.

  • 4/5 Hudson E. 5 years ago on Google
Great pizza! But the poutine was extremely spicy. It was supposed to be for all ages, but was almost too spicy for me! Otherwise, really great!

  • 3/5 Neil B. 5 years ago on Google
Disappointed actually. Our pizza was a bit overcooked, and the shrimp in our shrimp & grits was tough. Not a fan of the BBQ flavor on those either. And 4 oysters for $12??, they were tasty, but where are we Alaska? If we go again we'll try something else I guess, but no rush for us to get back.

  • 5/5 Maximilian U. 4 years ago on Google
Amazing lil spot. Fun options and incredible staff. Our drink was very good and the biscuit gnocchi was amazing. We were on our way through town and got some great recommendations for the rest of our stay. We will be back to the hog!

  • 5/5 Jason H. 6 years ago on Google
The Good: This is my favorite place in Memphis to eat. Forget Memphis BBQ, just go to Hog & Hominy. Finally, Memphis can make the bold claim that it has excellent pizza...but only here at Hog & Hominy. If I were leaving Memphis and never coming back, my farewell meal would be at Hog & Hominy. Everything we've ever had has been fantastic. Try the pizzas. Try the pretzel-dog. The Not So Bad: Crazy noisy at night. It's too far from Bartlett :(

  • 5/5 Susan S. 4 years ago on Google
Our group ordered 2 John T burgers, a steak sandwich, a Quattro Formaggi pizza and a salad. There was plenty of sampling of each other's food. Everything was yummy! (The fries with the sandwiches were great!) However, our friend who ordered the salad as his meal is a big guy and the salad was not nearly enough for him. If you go around 1 in the afternoon on a weekday, there's not much of a wait, too. 🙂

  • 5/5 Crystal N. 5 years ago on Google
We had really good food and spectacular service. It was my first visit and we ordered several menu items so we could share and taste more, which I recommend. I especially liked the oysters and poutine, salty and cheesy is the way to go!
