So this place caught me by surprise. Qwerky unmarked front door that simply says '40' guides you in to a dark, almost 50 Shades of Grey type atmosphere. It's dark, clean and mysterious. This place is a true hidden gem of Birmingham. One of the finest drinking establishments I've been to not only in the UK, but world wide. You are greated by the bartender who is extremely knowledgeable, kind and welcoming with a touch of good humour. I cannot recommend this place enough for a date if you seriously want to impress. Extremely exclusive and will be added to my regular venues anytime I'm back in the West Midlands.

Wonderful gin experience. We put ourselves in the very capable hands of the staff who know their stuff when it came to gin, flavours and mixing. Highly recommend this place if you live gin and want to experience something a little different. It's a small and intimate bar. Gets busy so advise to book!

Enjoyed the personalized gin survey for the gin and tonics. I must say I was hoping for some craft gin but learned that I had a couple tanqueray 10 mixtures... Either way, the ambiance is amazing. Love the personalized approach! Beautiful presentation. Great music selection and a wonderful staff!

Excellent If you want a hidden gem in a small secluded place I had no ideas was here that has over 100 different Gins then this is the place for you. Each Gin is ranked on a chart so you can decide exactly which one you want. The owner delivers the history a little excentrically and that just adds to the ambience that you are somewhere exclusive and different.

Had a sensational evening here. AMAZING gin selection, and nice idea to have a little survey to match you to a gin best suited to your tastes. Intimate setting and great service. More expensive than your regular G&T but that's to be expected when at what was rightfully crowned the best gin bar worldwide a couple of years ago! Already have another table booked for a couple of weeks time!

This is not only one of the best bars in Birmingham, it's one of the best I've visited in the UK. The staff are second to none at what they do and the drinks are sublime. You can see why this is recognized as one of the worlds top Gin bars.

Fantastic place, really welcoming and friendly. Staff are very knowledgeable about the drinks they have here and what would be good for you. The drinks themselves are very nice, something for any Gin lover. Also reasonably priced, between £7-12 for a usual Gin and Tonic, most expensive is £25. A must go to for any Gin lover

This cool little cocktail was a treat. The staff are welcoming and the decor is super cool. As a drinks and cocktail lover, I was very impressed by each cocktail I had - damn impressed!

We’ve only been here once having just moved into the JQ but we were floored by the tasty and mad creative gin-based cocktails and incredibly welcoming and intimate vibe. You can see that this is a venture built on passion and owner and staff share that with you with ease and flare.. We can’t wait to go back!

Gorgeous cocktail menu, love the intimacy and darkness of the place. Only downside is the vibe is ruined every time someone comes in and out - should be a curtain around the door.
