This place has been a once in a lifetime experience. I came in here broken and destroyed but with the support from everyone here I have left 28 days later as a person I never thought I could be. The staff are absolutely amazing and the treatment process has provided me with the tools that I need to continue my lifelong recovery. The detox was very safe and I was treated as per my needs. My room was very clean and the building is very well looked after. There has been plenty of team building with other people staying here and daily morning therapy sessions which have worked well for everyone here. We had the chance to express how we are feeling and let any negative things go, if needed we would be provided with extra support which was also amazing. Whether it was 4pm or 4am there was always someone to talk to if needed. I myself was very fragile and my mind was seriously unstable but now I can't even believe how I felt or thought when I arrived. The healthy and regular food has also contributed massively to my all round health and recovery. I was always provided with excellent meals. Banbury lodge will keep you busy, the time will fly by. If anyone is struggling with addiction PLEASE book yourselves here.

Banbury Lodge and the fantastic staff probably saved my life, I was at rock bottom and truly desperate. I have never seen such kindness in people, staff and fellow peers. I'm grateful to one and all there. I'm now 50 days sober and really healthy, happy and sober. For good.

My partner has just returned after only staying 1 night and two days, and thank god. When we arrived it was run down, nothing like the pictures. I had my reservations immediately but me and him were willing to try. After his arrival he was left to his own devices, in fact the whole time we was barely checked in on. He wasn’t provided water, only a mug which had to be filled up in a communal area. For someone who was withdrawing, there was no care given and on his first full day expected to attend group therapy. Meditation in consisted of a fellow addict choosing a YouTube video to watch, with no guidance from staff, in fact on all acts the staff were pretty absent and uncaring, seems it is a place run mostly by addicts, following 12 step program available free on the outside world. I would not recommend this place and I will be complaining to Bupa, they should be taking more care in finding a provider who provides a better service to people in time of need and desperation, rather than a run down travel lodge with untrained staff and unsupervised therapies. Even the food is basic. The place isn’t awful but it isn’t up to standard for the £14k they are charging for 28 day stay.

Excellent therapy, good facilities, a kind and caring environment, friendly and welcoming staff. Going there was one of the best decisions of my life, saved my sanity. However 2 drawbacks, minimal outside space to get a stroll and some fresh air which I missed greatly, and the food... well, simply not acceptable, especially if you are or prefer vegetarian.

Banbury lodge is a truly unique rehabilitation centre. I honestly believe that I have been given the best tools to go out and live a happy and sober life. The staff always make you feel safe, secure and welcome along with helping/mentoring you along the way to recovery. I would not hesitate to recommend Banbury Lodge to anyone who needs help with addiction and genuinely wants to recover from this illness. I would strongly advise 28 days recovery time here to allow you to fully immerse and give yourself the best chance of success when moving on. Thank you to all the staff and my peers for a life changing journey.

Banbury Lodge was the best financial decision I ever made. The staff looked after us to the best of their ability and, although infrequent, the 1:1 therapy sessions were very helpful. The group sessions, and peers themselves, were transformative and the support I received from everybody has provided me with the tools and confidence to create a better future for myself. The food was not nutritious and inconsiderate to those with dietary requirements, however I believe this will be changed imminently.

Banbury Lodge and its staff helped and supported me and my loved ones through a difficult time and helped me to get well and helped me to continue my sobriety and a worthwhile life after. A safe space to detox and meetings provided the springboard for me to continue the work when I left and the online aftercare allowed me to check in once a week as an extra safety net alongside the daily action required to change and grow away from active alcoholism and addiction. Thankyou Dimi, Becca, Sonia, Tom, Kev, Tom and all the support staff who always dealt with any issue I may of had during my three months at Banbury in a speedy and professional and caring and kind manner.

My experience here has been great. First of all I want to say thank you to the outstanding chef. The food here has been nothing but perfect. He has catered to us individually and made sure I’m happy with the food before every single meal. He always comes in with a smile and is overall such an amazing person. Will definitely miss the lovely meals! The staff here have been wonderful. Thank you to all of you who’ve helped support me throughout my journey. The support team, the therapists, and the nurses. I would highly recommend Banbury Lodge. I cannot fault it at all and I’m leaving with so much knowledge and tools to take with me on the outside. Thanks BL!!!

Banbury Lodge is an experienced rehabilitation centre - the support staff are knowledgeable and caring. The Therapy Team are experienced in addiction and unique in their approach to therapy 1-2-1 sessions. The treatment is predominantly group based and peer driven. The facilities at Banbury Lodge are not quite as advertised - please be mindful when booking without looking. The food is acceptable, very carbohydrate dominant and limited protein and vegetable selections.

This place was a sanctuary for me during the darkest point in my life. Not only has my body been detoxed, but my spirit as well. The staff are absolutely amazing and will hold your hand every step of the way; on what is often a very difficult journey. I have the tools to integrate back into society and re-build my life. I also have ongoing support of the aftercare team. If you are ready to make the change and get the right help, Banbury Lodge is fantastic. Forever grateful and thankyou - to all staff and amazing clients I met along the way.

I went for 2 weeks costing £6000. I was expecting more for my money. It was all group therapy. My named nurse was good but only 1 session. Go elsewhere

Wow. I arrived at Banbury Lodge a total write off but from the moment I was greeted on arrival through to saying my goodbyes I was very well looked after, felt I was in a safe place and my life was in good hands. Every staff member was very caring and polite ensuring my stay was comfortable and that I got the most out of my treatment. The accommodation was very clean and the food was to a high standard. Sure there were the occasional things i did not like but i came here to get well and i left a zillion times healthier than when i arrived. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for help with their addiction problems.

Generally my stay here was okay, care plan was discussed carefully with me and my detox was very suitable for my stay. However, I would do some research on this place and book a visit before coming, general cleanliness of the place is relatively okay ish, gym is very much standard and the “luxurious gardens” is a basic square of about 4x4 metres with a tree in the middle. But the majority of the staff are lovely and know what they’re doing, my therapist was great and she knew how to tackle my issues.

Thankyou to all the staff, they have been unbelievable from the moment I arrived to the moment I left. The structure of the programme is first class and every step is explained, thorough and challenges you on every level. The support of my peers will never be forgotten and in’s inch an usual environment I never expected to meet and make so many new and close connections. Anyone who is struggling and in need of help, don’t hesitate to come and change your life story.

My experiences At Banbury Lodge were generally very positive - accommodation, therapy sessions, detox regime, food, security etc, were of a high standard and I met a lot of wonderful people, an important part of the recovery process, and months on, I remain sober. However, I was appallingly treated within an hour of my arrival as a vulnerable 75 year old. A member of staff demanded that I settle my bill immediately that day - I had already had paid a substantial deposit. A security measure by my bank meant there would be a 24 hour delay in payment.Repeated explanations of this situation was met ONLY by the repeated response "no, you pay TODAY" that virtually reduced me to tears. This was a completely inappropriate way to treat a patient in a rehabilitation centre. A complaint sent to the management weeks ago has yet to be answered. A more minor complaint is how 'vaping' was tolerated/ignored indoors, at least in unsupervised sessions -the morning "meditation' sessions (in which we were treated to daily comically vacuous, 'wellness' videos) and the evening film sessions. Otherwise, very impressed!

Banbury Lodge has given me skills and tools to be able to live a sober life. I stayed for 8 weeks, I was introduced to fellowship meetings like CA, AA, NA, ABA which I can continue once I leave in my local area or on zoom. The therapy & group therapy has been life changing for me. The food was really good and they catered to my diet well since I am vegan.

From the moment I arrived I was made to feel at ease and knew that I was in the right place. The Banbury Lodge team are fantastic - therapists & support team were all kind and caring and dedicated to my recovery. The quality of the facilities and food were all excellent. The daily programme of therapy was varied and all of the highest quality. I spent 28 days at Banbury Lodge from mid-October 2020. I arrived a complete wreck full of fear and anxiety. I left a month later full of gratitude, optimism and excitement at the prospect of my new sober life. I cannot praise Banbury Lodge highly enough. Many thanks and best wishes. Richard x

My friend went here for detox, but left after 2 days as the hospitality was awful got shouted at for not rinsing his plate off, not letting him use the gym for 9 days and taking away his phone and only letting him have it for 2hrs a day. I know its rehabilitation but spending 14k you'd expect alot better company and welcoming. I thought these places treated ppl with respect. That's why they only take all money upfront and no deposit, it's because you wouldn't pay the rest after finding how bad it is ( DONT PAY ITS MISLEADING)
